Hello all you DISers out there. I could not find an official May 2017 thread (or maybe I just overlooked it), but here you can begin your countdowns and post anything related to your trip in May of next year.

I know that it is early, but as you know, it's really never too early to plan your Disney vacay. Please share anything regarding your trip here and update as often as you would like. Ready, set, go!

We might possibly go first week of May in 2017! First we have to enjoy our April 2016 trip, though

May is my top choice, but if free dining is offered I might consider an October trip for the first time....just not sure!!

So, my April 2016 trip is over. We had an amazing time!!! Now we are very seriously looking into 2017. In debating April 28- May 5 or May 5 - May 12... Anyone have thoughts in which dates would be better for crowds??

We are looking at April 22 - May 5. Crowds are predicted to be low those 2 weeks!!! But that would make us an April 2017 official trip planners!!! And alas, there is no thread started yet for that departure month!!!!

We're planning May 2017 at this point Our tentative dates are May 27 to June 4, but everything is still kind of up in the air as I'll only get to schedule my time off in December.

I first wanted to do April 28-May 5, but my cousin said that's a week expected to have a lot of cheerleaders. Not sure if that will really impact crowds much... It is just part of what is in my mind when debating dates!!!

I found a crowd calendar on **************.net for 2017. Not sure how great they are for predictions exactly, but that's the first one I have found so I am going with that as my only hint to crowd levels for now. As far as cheerleaders go, I am NOT concerned at all - as they typically stay at All Star Sports from what I heard, and we are staying at POR. When we went in 2012, the "dreaded Brazilian Tour Groups" were there.....I didn't notice a group once.

Cheeleaders are a heavy presence the end of April / beginning of May....along with band groups and dance groups.

If you wait until the first week in May, they've usually cleared out.

Brazilian groups are a presence mainly in January & July....haven't seen too many of them in May.

May 3rd will be our 20th Anniversary, so we are looking at April 29- May 6. So excited to start planning.

We are planning a 7 night trip for the middle of May. My middle DS will graduate from college and the "boys" said they wanted to go back to WDW for his graduation trip instead of a cruise. I have raised my kids right!

We're staying at Caribbean Beach!

But we LOVE AOA! I've stayed there 5 times (3x Nemo, 1x Cars, 1x Little Mermaid) -- it's our favorite resort! Decor is outstanding, buses are really good, and the food court has plenty of options!

I am thinking about staying at POFQ. We have never stayed there before, and our last 2 trips were off property. No more! I hate having to drive back to the hotel, and the "boys" are now adults, so we can leave them in the park when they still have energy and DH and I are done for the day, when we stay on site.

We may have to change our plans. DD will be a Jr next year in highschool and we expect her to have at least 2 AP classes. And of course AP testing is early May. Still figuring out if DH and I could maybe sneak away just for a weekend.

It will be our DD's first WDW Trip!
