As soon as I saw her hair, curly blonde, I turned to DH and said "That's Sawyer's Baby's Momma!" he didn't even remember Sawyer had a child.

But, I just looked up a pic of her, Cassidy...

Not sure now if it's the same gal...hair can change I suppose...hmmmm...can anyone find a pic of the hair from the previews?

Where did you see the other woman? Wondering if we could do a side-by-side to compare??

Please forgive me if this has already been answered. My head is spinning from all of this great Lost discussion! (and I just went over to Lostpedia after seeing some posters metion it!) On the Feb. 18 episode (sorry that I don't know the name. I'm lucky that I know my own name at this point ) Jack & Ben are on the plane and Ben tells Jack that he can read because "my mother taught me how to read" I thought that his mother died when he was born. Did I miss something? (Very possible!)

I think he was just trying to be a smarty pants but Ben did see his Mom as a child and she was dead.....

Richard befriended Ben as a child on the island, remember? I can't remember how old he was, I want to say between 9 and 12 or something- fairly young.


As for Daniel crying while watching TV- I've been wondering about that too. The only thing I can think of is that he has jumped back in time (or forward, or whatever ) and he has already experienced Charlotte's death and is so distraught that he needed the caretaker. Seeing the coverage on TV could have opened the wound. I dunno, can't think of anything better though.

Yes, Richard befriended Ben as a child when he was with his mean ol' Dharma dad. 9-12 seems right to me. So this would have been in the early 70's. This is before Widmore left the island.

I still dont know what to think of Daniel's crying and his needing a caretaker. Perhaps this was after the incident with Theresa and he felt so much guilt that he went a little crazy and had to have help. And I do believe that she asked why he was crying and he said he couldn't explain it. Perhaps he didn't know why he was crying??

I think whomever it is, it is someone from Sawyer's past or someone he thought was dead. I know this is a crazy theory, but what if that woman is Sawyer's mom(70's version). It seems there is a connection between the Losties and the island. I'm wondering if the Losties parents were all part of the Dharma initiative.

And depending on what time period Sawyer and group flashed to, it could possibly be Libby, Colleen Pickett(the woman Sun shot on the sailboat in Season 3) or even Charlotte.

Baby Momma is either touched or pissed. Baby Momma finds out what plane Kate is getting on and books her own flight with or without the baby and ends up on the island.

How great would it be if Kate is racing to find Sawyer and they have this heartfelt reunion then there are these "hostiles" with burlap sacs over their heads and when revealed, one of them is baby Momma?

That makes the Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Juliette love triangle/square into a hexegon. Or is it a pentegon? Upside down pentegons are evil right?

As for Daniel crying, and needing a caretaker, I think it's all the time travel he has done - it has fried his brain so he needs help. We know that a lot of people have died or been severely injured by it - I think with Daniel's constant, he does better than most, but not so much that it hasn't taken its toll on him.

And I really think he's crying out of frustration. He KNOWS that they are not dead on the bottom of the ocean.

Unless the sun has bleached Kate's hair--it's not Kate. Kate has very dark brown curley hair when the plane crashes (the new one, not the old one ) and the woman in the bag has blond streaks in her hair--unless the islands have a beauty salon...

I don't think that any of them have "infiltrated" Dharma. I just think they're in the time period on the island when Dharma is heavily in charge, so they end up working for them. But what do I know?

I can't help wondering if Daniel had a caretaker because of his time jumping. Do you all remember the girl in the hospital bed? She had a caretaker that Whidmore paid for and they blamed Daniel for abandoning her. Maybe her and Daniel were together during their time jumps and they both got ill and needed caretakers and Daniel recovered and she didn't. It is just a guess though.

I read somewhere who was under the burlap bag, I thought it was here but I guess it wasn't.

Haven't read all the posts yet...but why are some of you assuming that the folks on the 'little' island are in the present day and not in the past like the rest of the people? Why would the original others and the Dharma people have facilities there, if the two islands weren't 'connected'? Also, since Jin (who was way out by the freighter) jumed though time...why wouldn't the little island too?



So, the entire plane whent though the while light/time shift. The 'island' picked who it wanted there and then the plane crashed on the little island?

Highlight to read if you don't mind spoilers.The thing is, many people believe that the Island decided who went back in time, and who didn't. Jin and Sun are confirmed to not meeting for quite awhile through various spoilers (same reason I know they are in the 70's). There are many pictures of Ben and Sun separate from the rest of the Losties. Also, if they were in the 70's, I don't think the Hydra station would have looked in such disrepair and empty. The island has since stopped flashing in time, so they won't be jumping through time anymore. We will need to see.

Could be. But I thought I read an interview with the writers saying the actress is not involved in this season, but will be back for the last.
