The Official LOST Season Five *No Spoilers* Thread

And how did Locke know about Michael and the freigther? Maybe Ben told him?

Ben did tell him. Remember last season, when they were all in that house (Sawyer, Locke, Claire, Hurley); they had Ben with them and I think they had just become aware of Keamy and his men. Ben gave them all this info. about the freighter people and they were doubting him; he told them it was all true because he had a spy on the boat - Michael.

I see what you are saying. But if he really loved Alex like a daughter, he would have moved heaven and earth to protect her. He would have given himself up to Keamy even if he thought Keamy would kill Alex anyway. Regardless of all that, Ben is a very cold hearted sob. He had no feelings about the people being blown up on the freighter. And when Jack asked him what would happen to the other passengers on flight 316, Ben said "Who cares?". Oh yeah. And he not only strangled Locke to death, he shot him in the gut and left him for dead in the jungle.

Oh boy, you are not kidding. I get what he was trying to do - but he has to know it wasnt going to work and therefore Alex was going to die. And as a mother - I couldnt have stood by and let that happen. That was a heartbreaking scene.

So you really like Ben, huh? :rotfl2: ITA with you on this though. I don't think he really thought Keamy would do that. He did appear a little shaken up, but not enough for me to change my feeling for him. What was that? "a very cold hearted sob?" :thumbsup2

Great memory, I completely forgot this. Guess my head is stuffed with all sorts of other Lost info. :lmao:

Do you think that since some are in the 70's then we will see Widmore as their leader?

That would be kinda cool. Do you think that is how Windore knows John has to be there for the war that is coming?

I wish we could see some of the happier times on the island...give us some clue as to why everyone feels the need to get back there. For all you Twilighters out there the island is "like a drug to them".

Oh, I love Ben!:lovestruc He is one of those guys you love to hate. He is one of the best characters ever created for a television series, hands down. And not only is he a cold hearted sob, he is a master manipulator. There is deceit behind everything he says and does.

On another vein, are Richard Alpert and Daniel the only two who haven't aged over the years? I am still quite intrigued by that.

Like their special brand of heroine, huh? ;)

Huh? Daniel is flashing around in time, which is how I figure he ended up in the Orchid on the season premeire. In 'The Constant' when they showed Daniel at Oxford, he 'appeared' younger.

Richard genuinely appears to not be aging, unless he's doing some freaky time travel thing as well.

Forgive me if y'all have already seen this but I freaked when I was looking through lostipedia-
This is Thomas, Aaron's Father

What if Ben went into the future and is Aaron's Dad?
Or what if Ben has a son who looks like him?

Wow, the resemblance is amazing!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing.

NP! If this is intentional it opens up so many questions. My noggin hurts from trying to wrap my brain around how Aaron could be Christian's Grandson and Ben's son. :scared:

I believe it is confirmed that they are now currently in the swinging 70's. Yeah Baby!:rotfl:

oooh. that IS creepy.

Interesting. VERY interesting.

I totally agree that Ben is a cold-hearted sob. I just think that Alex's death was the only situation where we've seen real emotion from him. And he quickly squashed it and got back to business.

That picture of Aaron's dad compared to Ben is just creepy.

I am really hoping there's more about Walt coming up again. They seemed to make use of his special abilities and then just dropped him.

I think Ben really thought that he was immune to anything happening he didn't wish to happen and this was a slap in the face not an emotional Father/Daughter thing. It was like he realized he wasn't as special as he thought or had been told so he got mad like a child and wanted revenge. He wanted revenge on Widmore because he thought maybe Widmore was more "special" than he was. He is jealous not grieving. Just like he's jealous of Locke. I think that's why he strangled Locke. Locke told him he had also been told about Eloise Hawking. If Locke knew about Eloise that tells Ben that LOCKE was wanted back, not him. Too bad the island wasn't done with Locke just yet heh. And now there is Ben, hurt and not included in the flash thingie. I think Ben is about to learn he is not the savior of the island, he's only a disciple- a follower, to help things along. Ben doesn't want to be a follower, he want's to be God.

Oh I freaked when I randomly clicking on names at that site and that pic popped up. I called all my LOST fanatic friends LOL.

I just KNOW (hope) we will see Walt again. I was wondering how they were going to explain how much that kid had grown so much and this time difference between on island and real life is perfect. Walt could have stowed away on the plane that took the LOSTies back and him being 14-15 on the island would be no big deal.

I'm worried about Vincent :( Isn't he jumping through time with everyone else? We know the jumps affect animals the same way as humans because of Daniel's rat :(

OOH! Just had a thought! Remember when Walt came to Shannon? He looked older. Remember when Walt came to Locke in that pit? He looked older then too! I bet Walt is either on the island or will be at some point while the island is still jumping through time.

I keep wondering is its really Walt they saw, or if Walt was just a manifestation of smokey or something :confused3

I think Vincent will be just fine. He's survived this long roaming alone on the island, he'll survive the time jumps.
