**~~***The Official June 2017 Thread***~~**

Thanks! We have never tried The Wave or O'Hana and I have heard good things about both. Of course, we haven't been since 2011 so BOG is totally new to us too. We also probably will not go back for many more years so want to make the most of this trip.
LOVE O'Hana! My girls request that we go EVERY trip. Alwys a good meal and good fun! Enjoy! We too haven't been since 2011. Really looking forward to BOG!

I too use a spreadsheet for the trip. I would curious to see yours if you don't mind sharing. Always looking to improve and get new ideas! :)

Sure, I use Google Sheets, I have shared this with some other folks at work. I also have a budget sheet but I removed that for privacy. --removed link--

Just excited - got great airfare and are visiting friends in Orlando at the end of April - and are getting one night at BWI! Woohoo! Flower & Garden and one more viewing of Wishes for us! So happy! that will make waiting until the end of June that much easier!

I'm excited about the Pandora FPs being announced!! Just to clarify, FP booking starts at 6am on your 60th day, right?

7AM eastern... which is 4AM here in AZ :faint:

But, yes. I'm super stoked. This means I only have to get up once. AK is days 9 and 10 of our trip, so I'm hoping for good availability too.

I signed up for touring plans but I don't like it much. Maybe I'm not using it right but the suggestions go against everything I've read about rope dropping and the like. I'll pay around with it some more when I have some free time.
Definitely play with it some. Also, I mostly create my plans, hit optimize once, then I start moving the attractions around to where I want them and only hit evaluate after that (because it keeps your same order). It just helps me with timing so I know when to schedule my FPs.

The posts on the boards about spring break wait times are scary. I can't imagine waiting in line for an hour for everything. I'm patient but not that patient!
We went last June and we never waited in an hour line. The longest was probably Talking Mickey with no FP at around 30 min, and Soarin with a FP around 20 or 30 min. I'm not saying there weren't long lines for rides but we made good use of FPs.

The tier parks are interesting. Like if we want to do Frozen, soarin and test track at Epcot we will have to FP one, RD one and just plan your wait know line for the other. Same with our HS day. That one doesn't soon so bad though because nothing there gets a ton of hype.
We are doing 1.5 days in both Epcot and DHS (splitting one day between the two). We will schedule FPs for both days at Epcot (FEA one day, TT and Soarin one morning bc we can split ours due to my too short child and using child swap). At DHS, we needed two nights to do both Fantasmic and the Star Wars dessert party and show.

I haven't even gotten to MK or AK days yet! Those will be 2 and 1.5 days respectively so that may help a bit.
Believe me, I know your pain. I did my 3 MK days and my 1 AK day but then I decided to change it to 2.5 MK days and 1.5 AK days due to Pandora.

I'm probably over thinking it but it seems so important to having an enjoyable trip.
I am definitely an over-thinker also...so at least you are in good company! :thumbsup2

Yep...definitely better than them waiting until 30 days out. Selfishly, I'm glad I only have to square off with other onsite guests for the FPs. I'm scheduling for day 4 and 6, but I decided to schedule FoP on day 4 and NRJ on day 6 bc I think NRJ may go quicker since technically "everyone" can ride it, where as not everyone can do FoP due to height restriction.

FP day for us is April 4th...11 days from today!

Ruh-Roh Scooby, WDW News is reporting that Mission Space will be closed June 5th - July 31st. I'm not a MS fan, but it will make lines for Soarin and Test Track that much longer. Bummer.

Gotta say I'm glad we got in just under the wire on this one. My son would get a little annoyed if that one was closed while we were there! Hopefully that does mean some new missions/graphics though

Wow, so, AK EMH beginning at 7:00am. Which means arriving for RD around 6:00 or 6:15 (I'm going to Uber this bad boy). And we've got TH ROL ADR, and the 1st show is 9:15pm. That. Is. One. Long. Bleeping. Day.

Our AK day is (and hopefully will continue to be) the 5th. On the 4th, the kiddo has the Pirate Adventure Cruise out of POR, then we were going to hit DS. I'd had notions about possibly going to HS late afternoon / evening, but no more! Pool time, noshes in the Regatta Club, then early to bed.

The ride DS really wants to do is Flights, so I'm (hopefully!) going to FP+ that, then we'll do the River ride standby at RD. I hope. Head straight to KS (we'll explore Pandora later when it's time for Flights), FP+ Everest (and maybe standby a couple of times if it's not too crazy yet), Caring for Giants at 10:30, lunch at 11:55, FP+ Kali, catch some of the shows, and periodically grab a beverage / snack then find a spot to rest near a Pokestop and set up a lure. Yes, we play Pokemon Go. Yes, we'll be playing throughout WDW. We are unashamed. :teeth: HOPEFULLY this will carry us until 8:30ish when we'll head over to the ROL theater to get our seats.

But, most important of all: if DS tells me in the middle of the afternoon that he's DONE, we're outta there. We're going back the week after Thanksgiving for 4 days when all the activities will be in the evenings anyway, and we can catch ROL then, if need be. Bottom line: I'm already concerned I'm overplanning a LOT of this trip, and I'm not going to make my poor kiddo suffer just because his Crazy Mom is on a Disney Mission. :(

PS That was a remark about MY planning, NOT about anyone else's.

Wait.... I didn't see that AK EMH was 7AM. Not sure how I feel about that- for the reasons you stated Jenn. Is it every day or just the scheduled EMH days. I assume that means 8AM opening every day?

We are also planing one long day (with a break) for AK. My kids are usually early to bed and early to rise so this was already stretching them. And- our AK days are back to back with the second being check out day.

It looks like new AK hours are 8:00 - 11:00, with the evening EMH each night from 11 - 1. Monday was a morning EMH day, so it looks like that hour is now 7 - 8. :scared:

My kiddo is like yours, although as he's getting older, it's easier for him to stay up, especially if he's running on Disney Adrenaline. But I'm now doubly glad that Tuesday the 6th will be Typhoon Lagoon day, which allows for sleeping in and a relaxed trip to the park. (We're Ubering that one, too!)

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I feel like it would be more fun to do the PM magic hours vs the AM magic hours. So I'll just pencil those in but realizing the 7 am thing is probably not going to happen and that's ok. SO now I have one really long day in AK (which is fine there's a resort break in there) and one evening. I guess I have to have the mentality of keeping other evenings open to hopping over using the express bus if we want to change things up.

I'm all in for Pandora by night. Sleep in, catch the last Lion King show, a nice evening meal and the saunter over to Pandora after nightfall.

Where did you see this posted? I looked on the TA calendar and it had not changed.

ETA: Just saw it on the Disney site. Ugh...I don't like that. I seriously doubt we get there by 8 (We are doing Wed 6/7). Maybe I can try for 8:30, but we have MK the night before and I was going to do OUAT that night (Happily Ever After on Sunday night) and that is usually 45 min after Wishes....so if Happily Ever After is at 10, then 10:45 for OUAT. I didn't want to do HEA and OUAT on the same night because that is a lot of waiting around for my boys, and I really like to do several attractions at night so I don't really want to leave early. Ugh...I probably shouldn't complain about more hours but I was going to try to hit the safari at RD with no FP and now I'm not sure what to do.

We are going to Disney World for the first time June 6-12. My daughter will be turning 10 while we are there. It is just the two of us and I am very excited. I went to Disneyland when I was 18 but have never been to the Florida parks. We are staying at Pop Century and doing the dining plan.

June 6th Arriving Dinner at 1600 park fare
June 7th Magic Kingdom Dinner at BOG
June 8th Hollywood Studio Lunch Mama Melrose Fantasmic package
June 9th Magic Kingdom (Birthday) Dinner Ohana
June 10th Epcot Dinner Garden Grill
June 11th AK Dinner Tusker House
June 12th Departure day

I'm excited. I am also a little nervous I will pick the wrong fast passes but I'm sure it will be good.

I just tried to paste in a picture. It did not work out well.

If you go to the Disney website and select Park Hours, the AK hours have been updated.
