This is our first trip with Magic Bands. Our account is showing that we can customize them until 5/22 (our trip starts 6/2), but we're leaving early (on 5/29). We're concerned they're not going to be here in time. Does anyone have any experience here? I was hoping to customize them at home too but looks like that is out the window with the late shipping.

That's interesting because ours must be customized by May 4th and our trip is June 4th (so a month ahead).

Ours have to be customized a month a head of time as well -- by 5/20 and we arrive 6/20. @brooke789, are you in Canada? I'm just wondering if you have longer to customize the bands because they won't be shipping to you and you'll just get them at check-in (unless that has changed and they now *do* ship MBs to Canada). I think other people have mentioned being able to call Disney and have their Magic Bands just sent to the resort rather than their home and picked them up at check-in. It certainly wouldn't hurt to call and find out.

DH and I are going on an adults only trip for our 25th anniversary, Kidani village (bought points from DBIL), June 24-30 and then we will go to Daytona for the NASCAR race. We are so excited! We are anxiously awaiting ROL info. Hoping to FP+ it for our AK night. Here are our park days/ADRs:

Arrival--No plans yet
EPCOT--San Angel
MK--'Ohana
AK--Rainforest Cafe (likely changing to Il Mulino for anniversary dinner and then hopefully back to AK for ROL)
HS--Trattoria Al Forno
MK--HDDR
Departure day--MK/EPCOT--Beaches and Cream

All are new to us except 'Ohana.

Just realized we would have 2 Italian restaurants back to back if we change to Il Mulino, so we may have to rethink that!

Would love to find something else special to do to celebrate!

My husband is also trying to talk me into going to Daytona race after our trip Disney that week. Not my idea of fun with two kids.

WOOT WOOT!! SO I made changes to our trip!! I booked a package originally for 6 nights, 6 day hopper tix and DxDP and then b/c of bad flight times on SW, I convinced DH to book a room only reservation for the day before but it didn't include park tix or dining plan...

I wasn't really excited about having to possibly change rooms (even though I'd booked the same room type for both reservations) and we were going to pay OOP for 5 meals b/c of a few 2 TS dinners...

Anyhoo when the summer discount just came out with the BB8 magic bands, I was able to change our package to include that and saved over $600!!

and then I'd heard rumblings about some folks getting a PIN (or what they're now calling a UOC - Unique Offer Code) and it offered a % off your room and then free hopper tickets so I kept thinking I needed to call reservations and check and see if I had one..

AND I'd started thinking that maybe I should combine my 2 packages together so we could get DxDP for the first day but not increase our tickets since we aren't arriving to the hotel until almost 1pm and we wanted to check out Disney Springs and then I wouldn't have to check out of our room the first morning before our 7:45am b'fast and then heading to HS..

I did the math and if I combined them then it would only cost $400 with the summer discount but then I'd only have to pay OOP for 2 meals vs. 5 meals...

So I called today and got the BEST reservationist EVER...and she was able to combine my 2 reservations with no issues and she told me that I DID have the UOC for the 30% off hotel AND free park hoppers which meant I saved ANOTHER $590!! that's a total of just over $1,200 that we've saved on this trip!! However, that DID mean that we lost out on the BB8 Magic bands but the discount was more important to us (well, me!)!!

I'm SO FLIPPING EXCITED ABOUT THIS TRIP I CAN'T EVEN STAND IT!!!

Yes! You should call!! I've never gotten a postcard that I could use but the last 2 trips have had PINS linked to our name! !

Seeing a race at Daytona is on DH's bucket list, and he wanted to go before his favorite driver, Tony Stewart, retired. I talked him into a beach condo north of Dayton for the nights we are there.

I hope he is actually well enough to race by then! I just noticed the ages of your kiddos and I don't know if I would want to take a 5 year old either unless she was really into racing. My kids are older and have been to lots of races but they are NASCAR fans. They are a little bitter that we're going with out them, but mostly about the Disney part of the trip!

so it's ALMOST time for us Juner's to start booking our FP+s!! I have like 2 weeks and I need to sit down and make a list!! My biggest issue is we're going to be hopping each day, so do I book FP+s for the morning and make our afternoons harder or book FP+s for the afternoon and then hope the lines are less in the morning??!!

ARGH!! The last time we were at WDW we had those fabulous paper fastpasses!!

June 4-11th - watch out, we're back! My DH and I, my brother and SIL and their college student son all getting excited to descend on the parks. We did the planning in textbook style - booked the rental (we are staying in a condo at Emerald Island), booked the air, set up our accounts & linked them, booked our tickets (5 day park hoppers and 2 days at Universal), made our dining reservations, and now waiting expectantly to book our Fast Passes! I have the mother of all spreadsheets going with a strategy planned for each day. Yes, we are the ultimate planners, but time is money in Disney, and we want to get as much in as we can! This will be my DH and my 6th trip and I have lost count of my brother and his family Disney trips. They were the experts before this new Fast Pass system. So we will be on the learning curve.
I have been practicing booking FP's (and of course, deleting them!). I am wondering will I have to stay up until after midnight to get the 7DMT Fast passes? What are you all planning? I also booked a dinner at the Rainforest Cafe hoping we can add a dinner package to it for the Rivers of Light. Rumor on these boards are that the packages are opening up tomorrow.
Very sad to say we haven't been able to get a booking for Be Our Guest Restaurant. I was talking with a woman a couple of days ago who wasn't able to book there either before she went, but on the day at the park went to Guest Services and were able to get a reservation. We are going to try that if nothing opens up - it won't hurt.

PS - we picked the date after we researched when Florida schools get out & booked the week before. Rhode island kids go almost until the end of June, depending on the snow days.

I have been practicing booking FP's (and of course, deleting them!). I am wondering will I have to stay up until after midnight to get the 7DMT Fast passes? What are you all planning?

WELCOME!! this is our first trip using the new FP+ system and I'm confused & worried I'll book them wrong - we do park hoppers so I'm stumped about booking passes for the 1st park vs. the 2nd park!!

How are you able to "practice" booking your FPs?? When I log in it tells me I don't have tickets for the days I'm looking for..

I am just practicing by booking Fast passes for 30 days out. and what park we will be in on that day of the week. Since we are not staying on property, they have no clue what days we will be there.

What's everyones thoughts on June hours for MK currently set to close st 10 pm?
