Trying to look at the positives, because I am also disappointed about FEA and Soarin. BUT...when I first started planning BTMRR was scheduled to be down for a refurb and that got postponed so we are happy happy for that! We have never seen any Star Wars fireworks so that's ok. And I am a little confused by the Rivers of Light, they have created a Jungle Book temporary replacement show? Will it be open? And the Tree of Life will have its night time lighting?
I think you are right, when we get there, we will immediately have that Disney Magic. We can visit Joy and Sadness if we are feeling gloomy.

The Tree of Life should be on. As for The Jungle Book, I believe it is a new and permanent show. Probably just having later showtimes due to the later hours. I believe the wk we are there, AK now open until 11PM. Weird since MK only open to 10pm as of now. I think all the park hours will probably changing up to 2 to 3 wks before our trip it looks like. Planning a cruise is surely easier than this!

Frozen Ever After - maybe?
Rivers of Light - not likely
Star Wars Fireworks - most probably the old ones or the week in between the old and new ones
Soarin - the old film if we are lucky

So very disappointed here as ALL the above were supposed to have been in place on/before Memorial Day (except for Soarin - that was just wishful thinking).
This is probably our last trip to WDW for some time and we were hoping to catch these new things. Any one else on our week feeling a little sad? I am sure once we enter EPCOT after arriving in Florida, all sadness will disappear. Just venting.
Now on to clothes trying on this week. It has been cool here in Rhode Island, so the lighter clothes are still in Rubbermaid containers. I groan at the thought of trying on the summer clothes. I need a gift certificate to Macy's for Mother's Day, just saying!

I'm definitely feeling a lot sad. I KNOW we should not have expected anything, but I was really hoping for Frozen. We are there 5/29-6/5...

It feels so close, but it also feels so far away. Leaving for Disney on June 3rd. This will be our first time staying on the boardwalk, so I'm especially excited for that.

Question for those that fly, it has been years since I've flown. Do I need to put locks on our checked luggage with the airline?

Also, can I put a luggage strap around the bag to help identify them at bag pickup? We're renting a car at MCO.

I don't put locks on anything anymore. You can tie ziplocks if you want. But they will cut if they need to. Remember to bring some small scissors in your checked bag. You can bring extras for the way back. I keep my jewelry on carry on.

Ordered this tee to wear to Epcot! Now my husband has to unpack his Grumpy Tee to ride SDMT. Can you tell I am getting excited? Just rode the EE POV - still trying to get brave enough for this one! Starting tomorrow after midnight we start making our FP's. SIL and I are taking turns staying up after midnite.

Hi, didn't know this was here. We are going June 11-17 which as a previous poster said is NEXT MONTH! We had a Royal Room booked, but then when the new discount came out we could get WL for $38 total extra. Yay! We are looking forward to a half-occupied resort so it will be less crowded during construction!

Just hoping things slow down at work so I don't have a hard time being gone a week.

We have one month until our trip - June 4th to 8th. I've been trying to keep track of all the possible new things that will be open by the time we get there. So far I've heard that the new Star Wars fireworks are supposed to start on June 5th. I think that the Jungle Book show should be starting by then, too.

You don't need locks or zipties. We use neither.

We do have a Minnie-esque red ribbon around the handle on our black bags, so we can ID them at the baggage claim.

Just got a notice that AM EMH for Epcot and DHS swapped for our week 6/4-6/11. I think it's Sunday and Thursday that flip-flopped. Doesn't affect us as those are our MK days, but I figured it might affect someone here.

Thanks for his! We're planning both of those days for EMH. The good news is for our whole trip we did our FPs in our second park. So we can flip flop the morning no problem!

I know how you feel! Just got to get through this next week booking our FP's. My SIL stayed up until midnight last night and it is my turn tonight. I won't be happy until I get a SDMT FP in my MDE.

Those of you making your FP+ at 30 days (like I will be in a couple days) are you having any luck getting SDMT? I am wondering if it's even worth it to stay up until midnight to try.

VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!!!! No FP's exactly at midnight to get onto 7DMT on June 5th. Trying again tomorrow at midnight to get them for the 6th. I would recommend staying up until midnight if you want to get specific times. The meet and greets were pretty much all gone, but this is an adult's trip, so we don't need any of those.

I was afraid of that! And our MK days are also the new morning magic ticketed days so even doing it at rope drop will be a long line. :/
