****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

We do have a Facebook group. Here is the link:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/754446027929605/

I have to say that the Facebook group is more active than here this time.

Super excited for the Facebook groups as it's easier to keep up with sometimes than the boards. Have been cautiously excited for our trip since we had to push back from a trip that was supposed to be this week. We plan to be there May 29-June 5, give or take a day. (Originally I added a day at the end just in case we didn't check in and stopped in Ocala to see a friend for the night since we are leaving after school ends midday.) Looking forward to planning with everyone!

Is anyone planning a surprise trip? We had to cancel our trip this week, but ended up moving it to June to do SWW. We've hinted at it with the kids, but didn't want to say anything for sure since we weren't 100% sure we could pull the trip off. I'm thinking of officially announcing it on Easter in their Easter baskets. (If I can keep my mouth shut that long!)

Same time we will be there too!

Yesterday's and today's wind chills kept me (as a teacher) and my kids home from school. If we get more than 1 snow/cold day more, it's going to cut into our trip! I am ready to use a personal day or two, but still...

As of today, it's officially official! Doing a quick weekend trip to spend my 30th birthday in my happy place!! My best friend used some of his reward points to book my flight out there, booking hotel through my CM friend in the morning. Gonna be staying in either ASMov or POR June 18-22 (though the 18th doesn't really count since I don't get in till 11pm). Since I've gone every year almost since 08, this is going to be more of a "do that one thing you've always wanted to but changed your mind about" trip, especially with the restaurants since I love food lol. And hopefully I'll finally get to eat at Cinderella Castle on my actual birthday! Now to just save money for everything else, including my return flight (unless I can convice them to let me live in the castle haha) Can't wait!!! :cheer2:

Just booked June 2-8 at POR!! Our favorite. Nervous about the new FP+.

ARRGH Holiday hectic season OVER!
Now onto planning-
The pin codes I've gotten are just for 5% more off than to the public and only through 5/31-not really a help as we are into June-But may extend by a day or two as we are looking at airfare and trying to get a cheaper rate.

Really going for SWW June 2-7-have breakfast at Sci Fi diner the 5th with SW characters.

After going back and forth for past couple months on whether to even go Hubs woke up this morning and said he was dreaming of Disney, and he guessed it was time to start looking at airfare and seriously start planning! :cool1:

So FIL is not going. Was all set to book WL, but can get a room at CR (garden wing) for same price (using a TA offer). Decisions decisions!!

DH decided! CR Garden Wing it is!

More space, large splash pad for the kids, and easy access to the monorail won him over. I'm excited to try a new resort! :-). And he agreed to the 6 nights!

May 30-June 5 it is!

CR is on my bucket list! But I'm dying to stay in the tower with a MK view! We figure while we can still stay at WL we should take advantage of it. I hope you enjoy the Garden Wing! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!

Would love a BLV in the tower, but the special TA offer I am using is for the Garden Wing. Hoping we can get some pixie dust and get a water view instead of parking lot...

Hi All! Popping in to join all the June 2015 vacationers. DH, DD5, DD6, and myself are headed to the World June 19-28th, staying at CBR for the first time! My daughters are on a competitive dance team and will be dancing the first weekend we're there, though we won't know which park until around 45 days in advance, which means I can't make ADRs for the 20th or 21st and it is driving me insane (we will arrive late in the evening on June 19th).

I was able to snag all of the ADR's I wanted just before Christmas, and I was so excited because Be Our Guest was on the list for our MK day. It is the only MK restaurant we haven't eaten at, so we had to have it! Our schedule looks like this:

June 19th-arrive at MCO around 9:30-10:30 PM (does anyone know how late MDE picks up from the airport? I know they won't get your bags after a certain time, but we are fine with getting our own bag. We will probably only check one. I just want to make sure we have a ride to the resort!)

June 20th- dance...no idea...killing me

June 21st- dance...no idea...killing me lol (only one date will be for dance, but I can't plan yet because I don't know which one!)

June 22nd- Epcot, with ADR at Coral Reef (a family tradition)

June 23rd- breakfast at OHana, a lazy day at Blizzard Beach, then dinner at Shutters at CBR

June 24th- Magic Kingdom, with dinner at Be Our Guest

June 25th- a lazyish day at Typhoon Lagoon, evening at Downtown Disney with dinner at Fulton's Crab House (my DH has been wanting to eat here since he saw it on our DisneyMoon)

June 26th- Hollywood Studios, popping over to Epcot for dinner at Via Napoli

June 27th- Animal Kingdom, dinner at Rainforest Café

I've been driving my DH crazy since we found out we were going last July and then finally got our dates in November. Only five more months to wait!

Joining in (Also sent a request on FB) We finally booked last week. My husband & I wanted to take a trip this summer to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and his 40th birthday. We've had 3 previous trips book (2 cruises and a week at Disneyland) But, finally decided to just head back to WDW and experience it by ourselves without the little one around.

We are booked June 5-13th at AKV

Joining! :cheer2: We have finally booked CSR for June 8-11. I say FINALLY because we FIRST booked ASMu family suite for June 15-18. Than the 30% deal hit and we moved up a week and changed to OKW for the same price. After obsessing over the enormous size of OKW we switched to CSR 2 standard rooms this week. I have never had this much trouble picking a resort before, but this time we have a 5th member joining the vacation, and it has shifted everything! LOL!

Cast:1. Myself (Debbie) 2.DH- Clinton 3.DS Graduate - Drayton 4.DS - Jace 5. Fellow Graduate - Nat

We are celebrating two huge milestones! My DS is graduating HS June 6! He is bringing his best friend who is also graduating. We will also be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary!

Our ADR's:
6/8 Raglan Road @ 7pm
6/9 Chefs de France @ 5:30pm
6/10 Tony's Town Square @5:20pm
6/11 Kona Cafe @ 9:40am

Wanting to do a special order cake for both celebrations. Would love to hear any suggestions for celebrating graduations at Disney!

We booked yesterday with Jodi at OLP Travel and made our down payment today. I am SO excited. Not only is it me (Figment), my cousin (Eeyore), and my son (Simba), but we will be joined by my 11-year-old granddaughter (princess) and, for his first trip ever, my "other" son (Stitch).
We're going to miss SWW because Simba has to win his gold medals at Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games before we can leave. We're going to do our trip the opposite of what we did last time. This time we'll go to Huntsville, AL first. I know we'll spend one, if not two days at the Rocket Center. We'll also go to Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro. If you've never been to UBC, you really must go.

We were able to upgrade from the CR Garden Wing to the tower with Bay Lake view after the discount came out, we're so excited!

What princess things is everyone booking?
We've got BBB, the Perfectly Princess Tea at GF and of course CRT and BOG

We like the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare with the Prince, Stepmother, Stepsisters, and of course Cinderella. Character interaction is always great and the food is good too. :-)

I just need to let it all out some where...

OK so at first it was just me, DH and DD7 going...then it was me, DH, DD7, adult DD, DGboy (8 months old)...then it was me, DH, DD7, adult DD, Dboy (8 months old), DMom (to help with Dboy), DGranny (upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa)...

Now it looks like it's just me, DD7 and possibly DMom. My DH just found out that he will have to work during that week, adult DD is expecting again and doesn't want to go pregnant, DGranny will want someone to stay home to tend to adult DD so she'll volunteer (I don't argue with elders)...

This also meant that I had to change resorts because a villa would be too much for just the two of us possibly the three of us and there is no one to cook for DH (health reasons) so I downgraded to POR Riverside Royal Guest room with a garden view (this will make DD7 very happy)...after looking at the resort map and seeing that there is only 1...yep...one bus stop I don't know how to feel. No rental car so we will be using public transportation for the first time and so that meant I had to change and or drop some ADRs.

I have never went on vacation without DH. I am very nervous about this on - 1200 miles away from home. I think that if my DMom goes along I'll feel better..working on her. Anyway, I'm still going and this means we get to fly for the first time. I'm going to try to stay positive.

The End.
