****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

Right now its between CRB and maybe... POP. Depends on what's still available

Dividing our time pretty equally between MK and HS (for Star Wars Weekends) this trip. CR Garden Wing or BWI (Standard View for either one)? :confused3 Would be our first time at either one.

Thoughts?

Thanks! Did you make this request at online check in or when you got the resort? Also, I paid for a garden view so if I request the Oak building they can't put me in front of a parking lot can they? Has this happened to you or anyone you know?

DMom is going with us and she needs a shorter walk to the bus and breakfast (no having a car this time around worries me a little. We will also be having most of our breakfasts at the resort too, but transportation is what I am more worried about.

I made my request via fax. I just checked the POR thread to make sure that is the way they are still doing it and it's still in the FAQ -
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=50884118&postcount=1

under "Can I request a particular location or room type?". I followed the instructions on the FAQ almost verbatim.

If you paid for a garden view I do not think they will downgrade to a standard (parking lot). My thinking was that the rooms closer to the bus stop are mainly standard view. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in that morning but we were pleasantly surprised when we got back from the park and it was a corner room (two windows). :woohoo: It was a garden view room too and it was fairly close to the laundry and not a bad walk to the food court/lobby. It was a little distance from the main pool but we were right next to a quiet pool. It was room 9050 if you wanted to check it out on the map.

I have to point out that the courtyard/garden where they show the nightly movie is right outside of that room but the noise wasn't bad at all. We couldn't hear it with the doors closed.

Booked!!!!! Third consecutive year! This time it's CBR pulling in on June 5!

Count me in for June 5th to the 12th @ the Poly !!!! This will be our first trip staying at a deluxe resort. I cannot wait! We did not book until the special offer came out so I missed the 180 adr window. It has taken a lot of work but I did get ADRs for Ohana (brkfst & dinner), Kona (brkfst), Sci Fi, Chefs de France..the only one I have not been able to get is BoG dinner...we have done lunch before and we were not that impressed with the food but we do want to give dinner a try.
This will be our first trip since magic bands rolled out...kind of nervous about booking fast passes @ the 60 day mark
We have been during springbreak and I am wondering how comparable the crowds will be...anyone have any insight on the crowd? Almost forgot....we are not telling the kids until the night before...I think we will be doing a scavenger hunt.....also we are taking my mom....her first trip since the early 90s & she has only ever been to the MK....we will be celebrating her 60th!!!!

I was having transportation anxiety so I switched from POR to Contemporary. I'm feeling monorail magical now. :wizard:

Count Me In!!! Just Booked June 18-26 Staying at AOA! It will be DH, Myself, DS 15, and DD 8. So Excited :cool1::goodvibes

We just booked our trip. June 5-15 at AKL. It is me , my husband and two of our sons age 12 and 17. It will be our 12 year olds first time at WDW and he is excited. It will also be our first time staying at a deluxe resort. We haven't been at WDW since 2004 so there are a lot of changes. It is also the first time with the dining plan. Made most of our ADRs but couldn't get Star Wars breakfast it is completely booked for the entire time we are there. Also booked the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise as a surprise for them. Captain Hook is one of our 17 year olds favorite characters(he even dressed as him for Halloween when he was little) so he will love it.

So what happens when 2 Disney nuts try to "secretly" plan stuff? Hubs has been acting reluctant to actually go back to Disney this summer (although ultimately agreed:)) but still kinda giving me a hard time; so what do I find in his desk (He told me to look for something I needed in there)? A stash of Disney gift cards bought late last year!! HA! He wants to go back as much as I do:rotfl2:

And we are going in a day early due to flights (so much cheaper that it pays for an extra day of car rental, night at CBR and food). So get to see 2 resorts this trip:cheer2:

So-June 1 at CBR; June 2-7 at Fort Wilderness Campground (RV rented) for SWW with Galactic Breakfast June 5; then offsite for a week (our timeshare trade -probably Sabal Palms) to include a visit to USF (and overnighter at Royal Pacific)

Will need the anticipation to get through rest of this winter...

We haven't mentioned anything to our boys either!! We are always talking about Disney - I play it off like "if we were to go, where would you want to eat.."..or "if you had 1/2 a day, would you rather go to this park or this one"...

We are SO sneaky!!
