Can't believe we're down to 2 more days! Thought I was ahead of the game, had packing lists made since last week, but now am very behind schedule. Doing lots of laundry today so the kids can get their clothes picked out later.

DD9 came home from school yesterday in tears with a headache, sore throat, and 102 fever. Right to the pediatrician....it's strep! Counting my blessings though that we caught it now, BEFORE we go, and that we were able to get chewables for the antibiotic (instead of having to keep the pink liquid cold!) Hoping that she is feeling better before we leave on Thursday and glad too that we planned our arrival day to be a chillout and explore the resort day, rather than our usual "hit the ground running to a park" day.

Laminated my LGMH last night. Keep an eye out for us!!!

I did a search but couldn't figure this out - what is a LGMH?

edit - nm I found it in the FAQ! I knew it was explained somewhere! Lime Green Mickey Head (H is for head?)

I hope your DD feels better soon. We just returned from the doctors and my DD has a middle ear infection and needs to be on antibiotics for the next 10 days. Luckily she will be finished up with it before we go on our trip. Hopefully, this is the end of the sicknesses leading up to Disney.

Hello All! Hope everyone had a great weekend (those of us that were still home anyway..) I got some more clothes laid out this weekend and did a pre-park trip with DD10 at Carowinds yesterday for a school trip. It was funny to see parents exhausted 2 hrs into the trip and I'm like this is NOTHING. It was not crowded at all! Now to finish up so we can be ready by Sat.

As for those that have returned home...glad you all had a good trip. Hard to believe some trips have already been completed.

To all those sick or with sick kiddies..I'm sending well wishes your way. DD15 takes her 1st day of Driving in Drivers Ed this Sat morn and DH said no accidents cause we are leaving that night. Hoping everyone else stays healthy.

:Oh, and those of you staying at Port Orleans Riverside, keep your eyes open!! We saw some bunnies, a BOBCAT by the laundry room & a snake on the walk way. The fish & game were also there removing a gator from the river, and the pool guy told someone we met that there is a 6ft snake in the bushes by the small pool close to our building (14-16) area. This made the trip a little more fun for us!

Also, we had a preferred room there and we were lucky to get building 14. While in the laundry room, I met someone who was in a preferred room in building 27, and she was complaining that it was so far away from everything, and there was no parking over there so they had to carry everything from the parking lot at the main building. She requested RIVER VIEW. If you have this requested, and you are not up for the hike, I would call now to make a change. (just something I learned that I thought I would share )

We will be at POR in 4 days!! That's crazy!! I will definitely keep my eye out for wildlife! I excpected the snakes and bunnies, even the gators, but a bobcat . Called DH to tell him and all he said was "Awesome, let's hope we don't get a ground level room", lol. How was the resort overall? This will be our first time staying there.

My DD is not taking this ear infection well. She has been crying most of the day with little breaks in between. I feel so bad for her, but was also ready to be rescued when daddy could take over for a little while when he got home. I am just so tired from being up since 4 this morning with her. She is so tired but can't fall asleep. Ugh!

No one else in this family is allowed to be sick at all! I need a sterile bubble aroun the house until Disney.

our flight leaves in 13 hours! We went out for pizza tonight so I don't have to deal with dishes. Our bags are packed and we'll all be going to bed soon as we have to get up by 5 tomorrow. UGH! But then we're off to Disney.
