we're leaving in a day and a half and OF COURSE DH's car breaks down.

I've decided to go against my character COMPLETELY, and respond to the situation this way: "Ok, if something BAD is wrong with it, we'll tow it back home, leave it while we're on vacation, and the day we come back... we buy a new car.

Can we afford it? no. Am I going to let it "infect us" for ths next week? NO WAY

God will make a way- he always does.

OMG-I had to go and pick up DH today because his truck broke down. It just figures-but like you we are just going to roll with it and not let it be an issue that will affect our trip.


As of now I have a few things to pick up at the store, get DH and DS haircuts, stop the mail, and get my nails done on Friday. The next 2 days I'm going to be cleaning and packing so that for the weekend I can try to relax and watch some Disney movies



I was thinking about how every day when a person gets up there are so many things to do-work, school, chores, and so many other purposes and goals. At WDW there is one goal and one purpose-FUN!! How great is that!?!

Maybe I'm just getting too excited

my car broke about 3 wks ago and we are looking at replacing trans. (ouch). 2-3k!!! We had alrdy been lurking around the idea of getting a new one for the trip (we knew our car wouldn't do well) so we weren't completely shocked when it happened,just wanted it on our time! So now we are really shopping! Wanted to wait til june offers came out and that is tomorrow! well now actually! good luck to both of you guys! we are looking at huge vehicles for our growing family (preparing for thefuture) so we are looking at the Armada and the explorer .

I would love to try the "drinking around the world" thing but, honestly I am such a light weight I am afraid I'd only make it to America and I would have to quit!! I AM considering the "candy around the world" for this years trip though.

Is there a place at each country to do candy around the world? That sounds like fun too and my kids would like that.

Just tied our Disney luggage tags on to our bags I have the kids about 80% packed. Haven't started on my own yet though... and I know DH will wait until the last minute!

I want to tell the kids SO bad but trying to wait until Monday so we can say "We're leaving tomorrow!" I can't believe I've been able to hide it for all of these months!!! I have their new luggage filled with new clothes and things hiding in my closet!!!

I hope you are going to record their reaction! What an awesome surprise!!!

2 more days. Packing all the stuff needed for a 10 month old is overwhelming. I have to make sure to pack the bottles tomorrow night.

I'm going to try to knock out most of the clothes packing tonight after the kids go to bed.

Ugh. I remember the hassle of packing for a baby. DS was 6 months (I think!) last trip. It was so much stuff! Good luck with it all!!!

I think I have almost everything on my list done with the exception of packing. Just got the coolant flushed in my van and got a new bathing suit for me! I set up a tentative schedule just need to see if I want to make any reservations at MK for our first day or just do a quick service. Really I am just rambling right now because I want to see my ticker!

We were JUST talking about this 5 minutes ago! Our minivan has 200,000 miles on it. A couple months ago we had it checked out and the mechanic said it should have no problems getting there. It has started not feeling quite right in the past couple days. Scott asked if I think we should bring it in one more time and we both agreed to just risk it. He's bringing our home equity checks and a zero balance credit card in case we need to go buy a new van.

I got all my documents today! One step closer to vacation!

We got our official mail yesterday, too!!!

Yeah I don't know if people in the non-DIS world really banana dance. We had a Memorial Day party the other night and I showed our neighbors my Disney countdown calendar. They said it was cute, but you know the kind of cute I mean. Like, "Oh, THAT'S cute!" Our one neighbor really likes Disney and used to work there, but he still said that I was "really a Disney fanatic". The funniest thing though was that our neighbor (same guy) is a chef and he went to buy food supplies and made dishes for his catering company, so he shows us the pictures by sending them to our phones and of course, I said, "Oh look, I just got food porn sent to my phone!" Everyone turned around and asked at the same time, "Food porn? What's that?" The nerve of some people.

Too funny! Scott rolls his eyes at me every time I talk in dis lingo! I'm not even allowed to say ADR!!!

Happy travels everyone and packing for those of us with a few more days left. I came home to find my DH had started laying out his clothes for our trip! When he starts getting excited, I know we are almost ready to go!!!

That really would be a milestone in my house!

I can't believe it's June either!

As some of you mentioned it is nice not having to worry about housework and cooking while on vacation - that automatically puts me in a better mood We eat breakfast in the condo/hotel and that's usually about it. I do like having laundry facilities in the condo. That way I don't have to stress about packing enough!

We are just going to check out all the stores. I know the one in Japan and the ones in England have a decent selection as well as America now.

Other than that we are going to just see what we see.

Since I am going with my DD and her DB (who are under 21) it probably wouldn't be appropriate to drink around the world!

It's June!!! This is the month we've all been waiting for! This is the month we all finally get to go back to Disney!!
