Safe travels everyone! :wave2::cheer2::dance3:

On another note:
5 DAYS TO GO!

Safe travels to all those leaving today and tomorrow!

Today is our 10-day mark until we leave. Last night, we watched the DVD of our first WDW trip, back in 2008. The boys were only 3 and 1...where does the time go??? It was awesome to watch with them! :)

Right now we are watching The Little Mermaid. Perhaps tonight will be a video of another one of our trips, or another movie. Or maybe we will wait until tomorrow to watch something else. I'm enjoying this time...the trip is right in front of us, but we still get to look forward to it for another week and a half!

I am planning to put a Mickey head on our backpack that my DH will be carrying. It will be stars and stripes and say July 2014. I am also planning on adding my disname to it as well. So if any of you see it, please stop us and say "HI". I also have scheduled about 3 or 4 dismeets too. I am super excited for these!!! :welcome: to our group! I am so sorry I neglected adding you, but I will do it right now so you are official. To get the discount, you tell them you have the card and you will be using it to pay for your meal. Doesn't work if you are on the dining plan, can't save anything off of free!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: The difference in the price would be if you have a party of 6 or more 18% is added to both automatically. TIW gives you a 20% discount (I think that is correct, as I don't have one) and Visa is a 10%. TIW is accepted at MANY more places in WDW. TIW automatically puts tip on and Visa doesn't. Does that make any sense??? It is a hidden gem that I only found for this trip. I had heard about it before but didn't want to travel to the campground for food. Now I am willing to travel, especially for that much of a discount. When I was talking to the CM to make the ADR, she did say that the price was going up soon. My meal that is costing right around $25/adult will soon be $31.49/adult. I have read reviews of people who do nothing but rave about this place. My mom and dad say we ate there when we were younger about 35ish years ago!!! :scared1:

So I'm guessing the TiW saves more $$$.
I guess when I saw the $25/pp it sounded cheaper. Thanks for your help. :)
Hope you're having a blast!!

DS13 and I went over to HS this morning, not expecting to see much of the Frozen stuff( just really wanted to check out the rink and store) bc I thought it would be packed. It wasn't bad at all.
I just couldn't see paying $10 to skate for 1/2 hr.
I did get my niece an Elsa doll for her b-day. :)

YaY! Safe travels to all who are on their way down.

We have 4 more days. :woohoo:

Same here (although I'm looking at it as 3 1/2!) Are you starting out at CBR? That is where we will be :)
(I know my ticker is still a day off from when we added the extra day when we bought are plane tickets a few weeks ago!)

I can't wait to hear about everyone's trips!

Sitting in a hotel room in Buffalo right now! I'm hoping we all sleep well, but I think I'm too excited to!

Yes. We check in CBR this Saturday, 3 days before we are due for AKL. We have something to do with different family members for the rest of this week, we will need the rest at CBR before we hit the parks. It has been go see, go see, go see since we got here.

Four more days for us! YAY!

How is the weather down there? The long range forecast doesn't look great. I hope it's ok!

We fly out of Buffalo on Saturday :cool1: And I will be your neighbor in Florida...staying at Bonnet Creek :)

÷ .....

It's hot and rains every afternoon. Doesn't change very much in July.

This week in SC has been in the mid-high 90s and super humid, so if we get a little cooler weather and even some rain in a week and a half when we're there I'm not going to complain ;) I tried to take my dog for a walk today and we only got 3/4 of the way around our cul de sac before we were both sweating our guts out! Ha!

It's hot and humid up here in NYC too, in the 90s. We're getting thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow so that's supposed to cool us back down to the 80s.

On two out of our three past family WDW trips, NYC had a huge heat wave while we were at WDW and it was cooler there than it was at home! Hard to believe we ended up escaping the heat by going to Florida in July those times! ;)

I got worried about the forecast for next week- end of week is showing 80-90 % thunderstorms. Changed our HS day & Frozen package to Monday instead of Thurs, able move most meal resies& FP+ . Now can stop worrying. Last year our Fantasmic show was rained out

So, on a bizarre note... Today when I went to get our mail, there in the package area was my originally mailed magic bands that had gone missing!!! I have already received the second set and decorated them. These are now just souvenirs. But no note or information on the package, it was just there. UGH!!! Not a fan of USPS right now...

Haven't wrote in a while! Leaving Monday! Getting super nervous to fly with three kids! Never flown with kids! Any advice would be great!

We're looking at the distinct possiblity of a LIRR strike on July 20.

No big deal for us-- we're both teachers in Nassau-- EXCEPT that I booked an outgoing flight out of LaGuardia on 7/29. JFK would be a WHOLE lot easier in the event of a strike, with the exponential increase in traffic.

Hmmm... I wonder about the odds of switching a Jetblue flight to JFK. Even with a slight increase in fares, or an earlier departure time, it might be easier.

I think I'll mosey on to the Jetblue site.

They will love the novelty, I am sure! To prepare, go over security procedure ahead of time. The first time the conveyor belt "ate" my dd's carry on there were tears! Also, talk about who will sit where ahead of time. Window and parent are coveted by my 2oldest, so we plan how to take turns. Pack tons of snacks, lollipops for ascent and descent (gum can be messy), and if your airline does not have TV in back of seats, plan to bring something to watch videos on. I also find stickers a lifesaver(we have a toddler).

We have switched flights with JetBlue on the day of our flight - only will cost $50 per ticket! Catch is you have to wait until midnight of free day of your flight to take advantage of it. We have done t twice!

I haven't been on for a while, so busy with work and home trying to get ready for our trip! 10 days! I hope everyone who has already left is having a great time!
