So, this new Frozen deal at DHS, Do you have to pay extra for it? I saw some prices on packages, but, I am a little confused.

For the package, you pay extra. This is $59 per adult and $34 per child ages 3-9. The package includes viewing for Anna and Elsa's entrance at 11am, reserved seating for one of the sing alongs in the afternoon (you choose your time when you are already at DHS), and a priority viewing area for the Frozen fireworks along with a dessert party. There is no seating for the fireworks to my understanding.

In order to simply see the things I mentioned, or to view the indoor Frozen themed activities going on, there is no cost unless you want to ice skate. We aren't doing the package because it doesn't make sense for our family. My boys like Frozen but they're not head over heels for it, and whatever we get to see will make them happy I'm sure. Their number one priorities at DHS are the Jedi Training Camp and Star Tours, as they're huge Star Wars fans.

The only thing my DS wanted to do is ice skate, but I'm not paying $10 for that. I wonder how long you can skate for that $10.

Checked into AOA yesterday around 10:00am and had booked a LM room. But received a big sprinkle of pixie dust to a Cars suite!!!! It's our first upgrade of any kind! Feeling so blessed. So far magic bands are working fine.

That's awesome! Enjoy it! :wizard:

Don't know if anyone has seen this or not, but the Cape May Cafe dinner buffet is no longer offering crab legs.

We had a reservation for July 30, but may cancel. This was my son's favorite meal, but without the crab, might not be worth it.

Just thought I'd pass it on in case anyone was planning on going there.

I may do Tusker House dinner instead. We've had the breakfast there, but never dinner. Has anyone had dinner at Tusker House? How was it?

Thanks in advance.

I saw that and am a bit miffed! I have ARD's for there one night and my mom and dad are joining us and don't know what to do. Must consult the DH and mom and dad. UGH, just when I thought I was all done fixing things.:confused3: :furious:

We haven't done dinner there but we have done lunch. I assume the buffet is similar from lunch to dinner. We LOVED our dinner there - it was a different selection of foods that we really enjoyed! We are doing a lunch there again on our July trip. We are really looking forward to that meal!!!! :thumbsup2

We had a July 28th reservation for our first night and I just cancelled it. My DS really wanted the crab legs and now that they are gone, can't justify going since it was for him.

I know how you feel. Changing things around again myself!

The crab legs were, IMHO, the only reason to go. Lol. Many more restaurants a lot more appealing in that area!

This may actually be good news for us for future trips, although I know I'm in the minority when I say that. We wanted to try Cape May and had an ADR in 2010. DS9 has an allergy to shellfish, but we were always able to eat shellfish in his presence, and with all the other offerings at Cape May, we booked it for dinner. However, as soon as we walked into the restaurant, he had a mild reaction from breathing in the steam from the crab legs being steamed out in the open. He is allergic to shrimp, lobster and crab but not allergic to mussels or clams. So we walked out, then he was fine within two minutes. His reaction like I said was very mild to begin with, thank goodness. A stuffy nose, and itchy eyes that started getting a little red. After a couple of minutes of exiting the restaurant it was like he never had a reaction. The manager came out to speak to us, offered to call an ambulance but we declined since he was fine. She offered to get us an immediate ADR at any restaurant on property. That was when we discovered how great Kouzzina is because we chose it based on its close proximity, and we stay at BWV so it was also convenient for that...and now Kouzzina is closing in September. :(

Needless to say, when we came home from that trip, I wrote an email to Disney about how truly wonderful that manager was and how comfortable we feel going to WDW with DS's food allergy. I had gotten the name of the manager on purpose so I could do that.

Anyway with Kouzzina closing soon and no announcement yet of what will replace it, perhaps Cape May could now be our new go-to in the area for our future trips.

Some nights Cape May Cafe still has shrimp that they steam. Wasn't sure if you knew this or not or how your son might react to the shrimp steaming.

That stinks about Cape May we had a dinner reservation for there on July 26th, now I need to figure out somewhere else to eat

Thanks for the heads up on cape may. My daughter and I would mostly just eat the crab legs! We will go somewhere else, too.

So after seeing the missing crab legs at Cape May Clam Bake, we cancelled our ADR for the 25th. We then had to research a new location. We narrowed it down to 3, all of which give us a discount with our Disney Rewards Visa!!! We ended up with Trail's End Dinner Buffet. So we went from roughly $41/person buffet to under $25/person buffet. I can dig that. Oh yeah, and I get a 10% discount on top of that! Yes, I did!:cool1: :lmao:
