Lol. Nothing really happens. You just put in planned arrival and departure times, check a couple requests (high floor, ground floor, near elevator, near transportation, near lobby, etc. - these will be different depending on what resort you're at) and that's basically it.

When you get there, you usually get your "welcome packet/folder" more quickly than if you don't do online check-in, but if you have more specific room requests, you'd have to call those in anyway.

Add me in too!! We will be at the Caribbean Beach Resort from July 13th - July 20th. My daughters soccer team is playing in the Disney International Cup so it's me with 28 of our closest soccer friends!!

Awesome! That's why I made sure to add that I got one - I was shocked to see it on there because everyone kept saying they didn't show up until closer to the dates.

When I had made FPs for the 4th a few days ago, it said standby only, so when I saw it today after checking, I snatched it up! Wishes said under refurbishment for the 3rd though, so no luck there.

We did decide to change an ADR. I think we're going to skip California Grill. We wanted to change to Ohana on July 17 around 5 or 6, but now there's nothing available, so I'm off to find the July cancelled ADR thread

I do not know if you found one for Ohana yet or not but I was just looking on the website and there is one for 2 people on the 17th at 6:25pm. I'm not sure how close that is to the time you are looking for.

Aw!! Thank you so much for letting me know! Unfortunately, it was gone by the time I saw this AND we need it for 4 people I did, however, find an Ohana for 7:30 so that's a little better. I booked it and I'm going to keep checking to see if I can find something earlier.

AKL was one of our best online check in experiences ever! When you do online check in it asks you what time you think you'll be arriving. We put our time, and just so happened to get there almost right on the money of what we thought (that never happens!) We walked in and I heard a voice call out "Welcome Mrs ________" and I was like "What?!" It just felt really cool that they knew it was us and greeted us by name. It made us feel so important

It was! We drive down from Charleston, SC, so we normally arrive around 2:00 (barring any weather or traffic slow downs.) Our rooms have always been ready when we arrive I honestly think it might be due to online check in and the fact that they know we'll be there "early."

Lucky! Our room was ready early also on our first trip in 2008, at Pop Century. It was a welcome surprise. We haven't been as lucky at the BWV though...the first time it was ready late (but they gave us a $50 resort credit for it, and we didn't even ask them to do anything and we didn't even complain about it). The second time it was ready just on time. I'm sure it's because we stay in a one-bedroom villa at BWV and there is a lot more cleaning for them to do, like the kitchen. I'd rather be in the room later though, as long as it's clean!

I had no problems last night and even was changing times around throughout today. I was nervous but everything went smoothly. You'll do fine!

I am hoping for A &E on the 21st (which is only day two of our trip) if not we could try for after non of the 24th because we have wishes dessert reservations that night and were trying to relax in the am ..... We don't fly out til late on Friday night so I could do them first thing Friday am (the 25th) too - just nervous that I am trying to book them so early in the trip - wish it would just hurry up and get here! Got my DD an elsa shirt to wear or Olaf depending on her mood! Lol
