Joining the board! We are planning our trip for July 9 - 18, 8 days at Disney (1/2 of which will be water park days) and 2 days at Universal. Can't wait!

We are staying offsite, but I just made an ADR at Be Our Guest. Considered myself lucky to get anything at all. Our time is (drumroll please) Friday 7/18 at 9:25 p.m.!! Guess it will be the grand finale for our last day of vacation. :)

Hello all,
Just wanted to say that I am super excited to be going to WDW from the 26-31st. We don't know which resort to stay at yet..definitely open to suggestions. It's going to be me and my sister and her best friend this trip.. they are both graduating high school this year so it's a nice way to celebrate! Any tips are appreciated, I am a DLR vet and this is going to be my first trip to Disney World! Hope to hear from everyone soon!

How funny... that's exactly how 2 friends and I celebrated our high school graduation...in 1976! We stayed in the Garden Wing of the Contemporary and had the time of our lives. It was the first trip for 2 of the 3 of us-- and there was no internet-- so the 3rd friend made all the arrangments.

Take a look at the fact sheets and slide shows at www.allears.net -- that should give you a good idea of the options as far as resorts go. As you go up in price, so do the amenties, but all the WDW Resorts provide you with free transportation to and from the airport and transportation within the parks.

Next, decide whether you're doing the meal plan or not. Even if you don't, give some thought to doing one or two table service meals. If you're into princesses, take a look at Aukerhaus and/or the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare. (The prince, step sisters and stepmother join Cinderella, and they go table to table for autographs and photos. If you want a huge laugh, ask one of the stepsisters who is the prettiest.)

Also, if you can still get in, take a look at the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party-- you can make reservations for July now if you want. Aside from a great choice of desserts, you get a SEAT for fireworks in front of the castle. It's something my family really enjoys.

Happy planning!

We booked the 1900 Park Fare dinner JUST to see the step-sisters. My DD and I watch Disney World youtube videos and she thinks they are a hoot. I am so excited, the wait is torture for this trip.

Aint that the truth!

My daughter is 12 but still wants to go meet the Step Sisters again. I might book a 1900PF dinner on the fly if we can get one closer to our trip. Trying to co-ordinate a trip where various friends are coming down at different times while we are there and everyone is on their own itinerary. I feel so bad, but I've had to start saying to any more requests.

112 days to go. Tick tock :cool1:

Thanks for the warm welcome! So this upcoming trip will be the first time I've attempted the water parks (DH went once to BB 10 years ago when I was pregnant and skipped it). With the new "surprise" rate hike that happened over the weekend, it seems to make sense to go for a 5-day WPF&M ticket rather than a 4-day ticket (we are a family of 6 and can take advantage of the new promo). Anyone else here planning to do water parks?

Hi, just joining we are staying Saratoga springs Jul 14 to Aug 1st :cool1::cool1:

:welcome: to our 2 newest members. Great to have you with us! Settle in, make yourself at home, and ask your questions. We have a lot of helpful Disers on this thread. I will add you both to the front page on the list. If you have any touring plans or ADR's you would like to share with us, I will post them on page 39 (posts #577 and #579).

I swear.... We are forever changing our plans lol. We've now dropped 50's prime time, and added Ohana for breakfast instead of captains grille. We've also decided to go to legoland nearby so we're adding a day to our vacation!

We are planning to go to a water park one day. We have never gone to a water park because we have always gone to WDW in the winter when it was cooler. This is our first trip during the summer.

Alright Friends. My DH is home from over seas early.:hyper: Mission simply... done!

Today we are at 139 days out. New number. Time is tick tock-ing on. Plans are still the same. My MK day still stresses me out. So much I want to do in ONE day. Even though we will go to that park twice. I am having a hard time with "I WANT TO DO IT ALL".

How are you doin'?

Just changed my resort from Pop Century to POFQ. Never stayed there before so if anyone has any info I would love to hear it. Thanks a bunch. Can't wait to get there; so excited! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Stayed there four times and going back again this year. That probably says it all! I love this resort. Take a mosey on over to the Resorts Board where you will find a dedicated thread for POFQ with tons of photos and information. :thumbsup2

What are your dates?

My husband and I love this place as well. We've only been twice, but it is a must. I think one thing I like as well is that it is at GF. We look around the place and admire the grandness... and of course watch the fireworks from the beach there. Going to 1900 PF is more than just eating there... it's an entire "dinner package" for us. :)

We went to POFQ for the first time on our last trip in 2011. Yeah, I highly doubt we will ever go anywhere else!!! Granted, that isn't everyone's view because everyone is different.... However, I loved the smaller resort. The pool is awesome. The colors of the room seemed sort of "royal" to me. The food court has different foods than many others. And, my fave thing is.... the boat to DTD! My husband is also a huge fan. This resort is really spot on for the type of place we like!
