Made our ADRs this morning! Got everything we wanted! :thumbsup2

7/20: Garden Grill 5:55pm
7/21: 50s Prime Time 12:05pm; Flying Fish 6pm
7/22: San Angel 12pm; Tutto Italia 6pm
7/23: Jiko 5:30pm
7/24: Plaza 12pm; Kona Cafe 6:25pm
7/25: Kona cafe 7:45am; Kouzzina 5:30pm
7/26: Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic! Dinner 5:45 pm
7/27: Kouzzina 10:50am; Victoria & Albert's 6pm (kids will be in the kids' club, probably at BC)
7/28: Chefs de France 12pm; Biergarten 6pm
7/29: Crystal Palace 8am; Be Our Guest 6:45 pm
7/30: 1900 Park Fare 9am

I might add another meal the day we do the Fantasmic dinner. I was caught completely off guard that a normal dinner time was available. I expected something like 3:30 so I didn't plan on a lunch that day. DS6 doesn't want to go back to Sci-Fi because he doesn't like that it's in the dark. Maybe a late character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. We did lunch there last time and we all enjoyed it.

Anyone have experience with a late character breakfast? Do they rush you out of there to get ready for the character lunch? Or do you get to stay?

We had a 10:30 reservation at Ohana on our last day and both the food and characters were awesome! Didn't rush us at all!

We've done Hollywood and Vine for a late breakfast ADR and you're not rushed at all. You might even be able to snag a couple lunch items if you stick around. ;-)

For those wondering what the Fast Pass + booking looks like. I know it's too early for us, but there have been quite a few people wondering about this and I know not everyone who is going or has gone can express how to do the fast pass + selections, so this is a great resource.

I know it would be hard for me to understand without the actual steps in front of me so hopefully this makes it easier and will mean less stress for someone down the road.

Awesome posts with pics!!

thanks for posting the link. I checked the site out like 10 minutes before heading out the door!

I can't wait to get our tickets in hand so I can do our FP+ CRAP.

In the meantime, I am getting lot's of offers (none that I can use) but, it makes me smile to some home to Mickey Mail! The most exciting one was for free dining if you book a non-discounted room at a value. :teacher: Did the math and it came down to my heart really want to keep our AKL CL room.

Well fellow Dis-Friend....I think you got a great plan..no need to deviate. DD and I love taking afternoon breaks, go back to the resort and swim, relax, take a nap, snack and shower up for round 2. We are also (stay until the park closes)

The heat??? I think you'll be ok... Sometimes to busy to notice but we are from Texas. Your state probably hit 90 plus 60 percent humidity.. IMO - about the same in Orlando in the summer..

Happy Mickey Vacation to you and your family.

Thank you for the encouraging words regarding my plan for MK without a break. I will leave this day without a break. I will plan a break for our Epcot and HS days and if we decide we don't need it then we can just stay and get more done or finish earlier.

I am jealous that you and your daughter get to go to WDW every year. I would love to do that but I am not as lucky.

:-) - I am doing this by phone so hoping it will go through..

Since it is only Midori and I, its easier financially don't have to take into consideration planning around anyone else but us. Families of 3,4 or more have so much to consider and have to plan the time around their family schedules. I know it has to be very expensive..

Yes, we are blessed with a bit of luck... I got my DD hooked on Disney at the young age of 3yrs and we have been going strong since then.

Thank you for posting this! We got a package in the mail about FP+ for our trip. It says we can reserve FP+ attractions beginning May 21st. :thumbsup2

Off topic:

We watched The LOne Ranger last night, and omg, we LOVED it. My DD thought Tonto was so funny. The facial expressions is what got her. She also has a crush on Captain Jack.....so, I think Johnny Depp has a fan for life. She's 8. lol.

Do you guys do Disney Movie nights? I have a feeling some will say "well, duh"!! Have a great Thursday:flower3:

Thanks for your review. I have been wondering about this film. Did you feel it was too long? I have seen some reviews of that. Also what about the violence? I have really wanted to see it but the PG13 rating scared me off. It was a shame they didn't find a way to make it PG, I bet it would have done a lot better in the box office. I know I would have taken the kids to see it had it been.

And YES we do Disney movie night. We actually have Friday movie night as a family. My kids look forward to it every week. Usually it is a Disney movie. My youngest DD is a HUGE POTC fan. It is so funny because that has been her favorite ride since she was 3! And we just let her start watching the movies and it is all she talks about. Pirates, pirates, pirates. In fact she wants a Pirate birthday this year! (Considering she has a twin brother, I think that will work! :thumbsup2)

Isn't POTC pg13?

Isn't POTC pg13?

Yes. But we saw them before the kids saw them and felt what was in it was ok for them to see. I haven't seen the Lone Ranger; which is why I was asking her opinion on it. I wouldn't take the kids to see it in the theater because of the rating as I would want to see it before them seeing it. That was all I was saying. Just because one thing is rated PG-13 doesn't mean they are all created equal IMO.

We were able to get a FP for BOG lunch for our upcoming trip but it didn't become available until a little over a month ago... it is currently separate from the FP+ system. I'm wondering if that will still be the case in July... that's why we got a dinner just in case!

It definitely seems like things with FP+ are constantly changing, so I am not really making any plans right now for that. I just keep watching for the latest updates/changes to the system. My head hurts when I start thinking about making these FP+ ressies for ALL of the 8 members of our party--they vary in age from 5 to 80, including my 13 year old son and 17 year old niece. SO, are you able to get 3 or 4 FP+s at MK? One site said 3, and another said 4. Also, you are saying that your BoG lunch fastpass was on top of the other FP+s that you were allowed? I absolutely would like to do that!

Oh I see. Love POTC!

VERY,VERY,VERY VIOLENT. You don't see much gore...however, it is hinted that (I hope I don;'t get flamed for spoiling) that Butch C. eats a mans heart after he shot him. All in all, I should have done my homework. It kind of turned into a history lesson, me stating that "that's how things were done back then". Only for my dd to ask if I was in a shootout:scared1: I am only 35. We loved it....thought it was funny. However, I can not recommend it for youngun's. It was not nightmare worthy for my kids so that's a plus. and they would watch it again.

There are only 3 FP+'s available at MK for rides/shows/parades/Wishes... however, there is a test website beourguestlunch.com that you can go to and enter your MB or DME number to book a FP reservation. It doesn't appear on MDE after you book it so you have to print it out or take a screen shot if you want a record of it. Then you check in at the building at the bridge by BOG and go right in! They didn't open it up until about 5 weeks before our trip this month. If they continue it, maybe it will open up in early June for July bookings? But that is all my guess... who knows if they will decide to change it to be a FP+ at MK and to have it count against the 3 offered now!

Thank you for that! I think I will watch it myself first then.

It is so funny what kids say in regards to age! When my oldest son was about 6 he was obsessed with the Titanic and would get books upon books from the library about it. We were talking about it one day and he mentioned how in the old days they didn't have enough life boats but that has changed now. And he looked at me with all seriousness and said "Mom, do you remember the Titanic sinking?!" :lmao: I am the same age as you!! I had to explain that even Grandma and Grandpa weren't even born yet, never mind me!! :rolleyes1

Also my twins recently told their bus driver that I was older than their dad. Bus driver couldn't stop laughing about that! Especially when they argued with me saying "But your 34 and he is only 33". (He is 43).

Ok...so thinking of switching a few things...

7/11 Arrival Day - Epcot pm and EMH (QS lunch and dinner - ?)

7/12 MK and Wishes dessert party (QS early lunch at CHH and CRT - dinner?)

7/13 MK and MSEP and EMH (Crystal Palace - late breakfast and Chef Mickey's - dinner?)

7/14 HS and Fantasmic and EMH (Hollywood&Vine - late breakfast or early lunch and Mama Melrose's - dinner)

Chef Mickey's - breakfast or dinner?
Hollywood & Vine - breakfast or lunch?

Thinking of not doing Akershus and hitting up FairyTale Hall and/or CRT instead...DD said her favorite is Jasmine now. LOL

Thoughts? DS is 7 and DD will be 3.
