*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

I have been absent for a while, things have been crazy lol. Kids started back at school and I went back to a normal schedule at work and it's taken some time to get used to....

I forget who asked, but for the crowd levels I was looking at easy wdw too.

Just a quick question for you. Were you not able to get July 9 for the ADR for BOG? Is that why you didn't do it on your MK day and then make ohana on the 12th? Cause that could make sense. :confused3

Actually, for our MK day on the 9th, the choice was between 'Ohana and BoG. Since my brother and niece have never been to 'Ohana, I just felt like we HAD to make sure we got that in. My brother is a BIG eater, and I know he's going to freak over the food at 'Ohana. Since our plans for the 12th are flexible, I thought MAYBE we could sneak in BoG. Although I would really like to experience BoG, I won't be upset if we don't make it. Now I'm thinking we can try to do the FP+ lunch at BoG on the 9th. That would be awesome!:yay:

I'm torn about EMH - last summer we took advantage of all the morning EMH and then ditched the park when it got crowded around 11 or 12 noon.... then we would go somewhere else in the evening or just stay at the resort... But, I'm thinking of avoiding them this July and just get a little extra sleep in the mornings so that we can go a little later at night (now that DD is a year older...)... what are your thoughts? We'll still take our midday breaks... I have NO PLANS to go to PM EMH... I just can't decide! Maybe with staying at BC we'll only do the EMH mornings at EP and DHS because they are easy to get to? Help me decide! :confused3

The whole EMH thing is always a debate on our end, but ultimately, we always wind up planning around them and NOT going to the parks with the EMH on those days. We just cannot get to the parks early enough to take advantage of the morning hours, and we're too pooped at the end of the day to make it to the evening EMH.

Someone also asked about which park to go to on the 4th of July. We arrive on the 6th, so we won't actually be there for the 4th, but we were there on Easter day a few years back. We went to EPCOT on Easter day, and the crowds were not bad at all. I think maybe because the park is spread out more, it just didn't seem bad.

1. Ohana's :thumbsup2
2. Sci-Fi :cool1:
3. T-Rex :)

Bob- we always end up missing T-Rex, but my son's birthday is during this trip. You got us to try 50's and we liked it so what do you guys like about T- Rex? Did you find it too loud? When I tried Rainforest I got a huge headache! What do you think?

WELLLL !!! IMO - Its is as loud or even a little more than Rainforest and it does make you feel a bit :crazy2: by the end of the evening and the food is pretty much the same format as Rainforest since it is owned by the same restaurant group.

BUT !!! - I think its pretty exciting to watch the Dino's roar and move around. The Ice Room and the area (Can't Remember) where the Jelly Fish is located are pretty neat.

Now, the food is pretty good and service has always exceeded our expectations. Angelee - I would give it a try :thumbsup2 you can ride the boat from POR to DTD, now that's really a lot of fun and it breaks up the normal have to rife the Bus routine.

Here is our You Tube Video of T-Rex - Past July -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tmp-w-eVNCE

Here is Midori's group of friend she has been going to school with since Kinder. WOW!! They have grown up... time has flown by.

Wow I still remember the pics you posted of midori years ago. They grow so fast. I feel the same way when I see past students who recognize me yet I don't recognize them at first hehe

Does anyone remember the year we had a small dismeet at the uk pavilion? I wanna post the pic but can't seem to remember where I put it.

I can do my ADR on the 25. I have a DD1 and a DS 6. We are a burgers and fries kind of family. I am thinking TREX Mickey's backyard BBQ, wishes dessert party, and Rainforest at AK. what do you guys think?

How cute! Can't believe how much older Midori looks in just a few short years.

T-Rex looks like fun. I have only been in there once a few years ago (not to eat though). My son wanted a build a dinosaur so we went in, but it was really busy and we didn't look around. Thiink I may want to try it with him. Now to get DH on board.

.

Haha! Yeah I am sure the kids will love it. My kids are close to yours in age 7 1/2 and 5. I think if we go I might take my migraine medicine before we go.

Excited to join the July 2014 Disney trip party! We will be at the Polynesian from 7/2 until 7/5 when we embark on a Disney Cruise with our extended family. By that point, it will have been 2.5 years since our last Disney trip and we can't wait! :yay::yay::yay:
