*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

I also see a few people staying at Coronado Springs. We stayed there a few years back and had a fabulous time. I was apprehensive because of the mixed reviews, but we thought it was great. The food court was a little different, but once we went through it once, we were fine.[/QUOTE]

I really liked the sound of the Business Class rooms at the Coronado. Has anyone stayed in those rooms and had access to the lounge? We don't really have the money to stay club level anywhere but it will be great to get my kids fresh milk and fruit quickly in the morning since my husband and I don't usually eat breakfast. We ARE big Diet Coke drinkers so that will be great at night. I just hope there will be a room discount or I will get a pin. If not we will rebook for Pop.

OR top 3 ADRs (resort or park)?

Tough question! I'm just going to list some of my faves.

Choosing 'Ohana as #1 is a no-brainer.
Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK was awesome.
Whispering Canyon Café at Wilderness Lodge--lots of fun, good food.
We had a great experience at Garden Grill at EPCOT.
We've been to all of the sit-downs at HS except for Brown Derby, and that's a tough call. They have all been pretty equal as far as I'm concerned, but Mama Melrose's if I have to pick one.

Has anyone seen or heard about a July discount or pin code yet.

I don't think they'll put anything out for a couple months, but I could be wrong. They just announced the early summer discounts, and I am hoping for the same offer in late summer. It's 30% off rooms plus one extra day park ticket at no cost--so you pay for a 4-day ticket and they bump it to 5-days. (I realize that's not a huge deal, but it's something). Last year I got a PIN code in the mail a few weeks before they put the offer out for the general public.

I'm really wishing for a discount, but right now I'm giving myself a 5% discount using Disney gift cards purchased at Target. I'm going to use them to put into the Disney Saving account so I'll be able to the gift card bonus from them. Every bit counts.

Do you get 5% off the purchase of gift cards at target? I thought it didn't apply to GC? Thanks!

OR top 3 ADRs (resort or park)?

2nd- Teppan Edo - We all absolutely love this place
3rd (tie) 50's primetime/Raglan Road

I have 6 days until I can make ADR's... that means this weekend is "crunch time" for making the hard decisions... :scratching I'm torn about EMH - last summer we took advantage of all the morning EMH and then ditched the park when it got crowded around 11 or 12 noon.... then we would go somewhere else in the evening or just stay at the resort... But, I'm thinking of avoiding them this July and just get a little extra sleep in the mornings so that we can go a little later at night (now that DD is a year older...)... what are your thoughts? We'll still take our midday breaks... I have NO PLANS to go to PM EMH... I just can't decide! Maybe with staying at BC we'll only do the EMH mornings at EP and DHS because they are easy to get to? Help me decide! :confused3

I'm the opposite. Love evening EMH and never could make it to a park in time for morning EMH.

Trying to decide whether PH would be worth it for our quick weekend trip...originally thinking no with the one park/day FastPass+ "rule"?

Anyone know how Rider/Child Swap works with the new FastPass+ system? Would both adults and the child all need the same return time or would you only need to do the FastPass for one adult and the kid and then get rider swap ticket for other adult to take kid...?

I am trying to decide the same thing. We didn't do EMH last time but I feel like we should in July. Let me know what you decide!

What is the one restaurant you must eat at in each park? Go! :-)

MK - Tony's
EP - No favorite - We just snack at 90% of the restaurants located in the World Show Case.
AK - N/A
HS - Sci-Fi

:) - 2 More Days until ADR's

For those there around July 4th, what park are you planning to do that day?

I had originally thought I'd do MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th but now I'm thinking of switching them. Will it really make that much of a difference? And for both those days, do we need to get into our park of choice in the morning and stay there until the very end or risk not getting in? I don't really know what to expect, to be honest. I've done a couple of Easter weekends there so I understand 'busy' but there are varying degrees of craziness and I suddenly feel a bit overwhelmed trying to plan it all. :scared:

MK - The Plaza
EPCOT - Le Cellier
Studios - 50's Prime Time
AK - Tusker House

We're doing MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th because Epcot only does the "special" things on the 4th. We did DHS last time we were there on the 4th (2011) and and the crowds were pretty bad in the evening there. That park does not handle the large numbers of people during the fireworks show nearly as well as MK and Epcot do. We're planning on staying at the parks for the entire day those days. We only do one park per day anyway, no hoppers.

At Epcot on the 4th Touring Plans has it as a 9. At first that made me want to rearrange our days but then I considered how they get that rating form the anticipated wait time. So we're planning to do all of the World Showcase things we tend to miss on our trips that day. And if we get too tired we'll go ride Ellen's Energy Adventure and take a nap. LOL

MK- Don't really have a favorite.
Epcot- Coral Reef or Via Napoli
AK- Yak and Yeti
HS- toss up between 50's and Sci-Fi
