Me:surfweb: DH:happytv: DS14popcorn:: DD7:yay:

:welcome: to our group! We are sooooo happy to have you along for the ride! I will add you to the front page so that you are an official card carrying member! :lmao: When you get all your travel/touring plans and ADR's done let us know and I will add them to posts #577 and #579 as well.

This trip will be our 2nd time eating at Yachtsman Steakhouse. We ate there on our last trip for the first time there and our first time ever at a signature restaurant. It was fantastic. My DH and I love steaks and he had the porterhouse and I had the filet mignon. Have you ever heard someone say it melted in your mouth or you could cut it with a fork? I experienced both that night. It is by far THE BEST steak I have ever eaten, and I am not normally a filet mignon fan. I wanted small because I was full for that entire trip (deluxe dining plan) but I ate that whole thing because it was too good to waste. I sincerely hope you all enjoy it as much as we did that time and as much as I think we will this time! Bon Appetit!

Sounds perfect!!! DH loves steakhouses and has visited many here in the NJ/NYC area... that is right up his ally! I'm excited for an adult night! :banana:Hopefully DD3 will like the Sandcastle club!:confused3

I just told them when we checked in that we needed someone who isn't over the top. We asked for someone that slightly more easy going (of course we got the one who did nothing, but it was ok at that point in our vacation). I say give it a try if you really want to and ask when you check in if there is someone who isn't over the top.

Thank you so much!

This gets me thinking... what are you doing differently on your July trip than on other trips before? Or... if this is your first trip, what are you most looking forward to?

I'm most excited to spend time with my family. I can't wait to see the look on the kids' faces when we get there. I also can't wait to just relax. On the way back from WDW we're stopping in Destin, FL for 2 nights to hang out at the beach. I also can't wait to meet Aurora. Yes, I know it's childish. No, I don't care. DD is excited but hasn't said a certain thing she's excited about, DS15 has yet to really say anything that he's particularly excited about, and DS8 is super psyched to eat with the characters. My husband..... He's really one of those men that says "tell me how much, what time to show up, and I'll enjoy it." So while I've been planning and telling him everything I've come up, I'm 99.9% sure it's going in one ear and out the other lol. He's looking forward to a week off of work.

One thing I'm not excited about? 14 1/2 hour car trip.

That's how my mom is. We tried 50s on our last trip and were a little nervous, but she really wanted to try it because she grew up in the 50s and really wanted to enjoy the theming. We got someone VERY low key and it went fine :) Like another poster mentioned...maybe just let them know that you need someone not over the top.

Thank you! I've heard much better reviews about the food at 50's compared to Sci Fi so I think we'll go ahead and book that one. I just need the 19th to get here so I can do our ADR's!

We're at AoA in a LM room until the 7th! We were going to do a Cars suite but I kept thinking about everything we could do with the difference in cost with a LM room so we switched. Is it weird I'm excited to sing Part of Your World in that shower?

This is our second trip to Disney. What we are doing differently:

1. Getting base tickets. The FP+ thing has left me undecided regarding tickets so I am not sure if we should get park hoppers. :confused3

2. Quick service dining.

3. Day trip to Universal.

4. Wishes Dessert Party to celebrate my daughter's birthday.

5. Staying longer :woohoo:

6. Disney Quest

I'm interested to hear how you like the Wishes Dessert Party. We're saving that for when DD3 is a bit older as she wouldn't appreciate any of the offerings yet... but I think it would be fun!

We LOVE the Wishes Dessert Party! Great view - no crowds - wonderful desserts!!!!

I know!! I got the 2014 WDW calendar for Christmas, so this morning I went through and added all the important dates for the year. It was so fun to be able to mark our ADR day, our FP+ day, and the dates we're going!!

No problem.

I have a question for you.... I see that you have stayed at POR several times. The last time we stayed there, it was still Dixie Landing so it's been a while. We will be driving for the first time in years to save money and we will have a car with us, but is there a location you would recommend? We are just thinking standard view so won't be doing any preferred but still want a decent room location. Any suggestions?
