:welcome: to our gang! Glad to have you along. I will get you added to our front page. if you dare to, let us know your touring and ADR plans and I will get you added to those pages as well.

Sure thing... I'm not at that stage yet. :scared1: Haha... We'll get there. :)

I just noticed when I added you to the front page that 2tiggies will be at POFQ during your stay. They are there from 6/19-7/8. Kinda cool!

Awesome! I love meeting Dis People. :)

Hello Everyone :wave2:

WOW!! the July 2014 thread is jumping now. Get ready Disney, here we come...

RH! It's been a while... of course, I haven't "seen" you since my last trip in 2011. Nice to run into you and Midori again.

Thank you I'm so excited!! We have been in May, June and October but not July. I will let you know about the adr's as soon as I get them done. Seems like there is so much to plan now adr's fp+ wristbands and so on. I kind of feel like everthing is new again!:thumbsup2

I was trying to read about the wristbands, fp+, and making memories (replaced pp+) yesterday... and then I got a headache! So overwhelmed! :faint:

Sounds good to me! We have a FB group where I keep in touch with a few others from that year. :) It's painful for me though since we can't afford to go every year. hehe.

Sometimes I wonder when we get back from a Disney trip how I am going to find the funds to go back the next year.

With Midori get older and her necessities and needs changed, it gets more and more difficult..

Is Linda T a part of the FB group?

We were stationed at Patrick AFB for a few years, which is LOTS closer to Disney. We were heart broken to when we got orders to Wy.:furious:

Thanks for pouring salt into the wounds!:lmao:

Yes, yes it is. We have been here for 13 years and you would think I would be *used* to it, but, I am not. This is what I look like every time it snows:eek:

Hey RHMH, can you make your disney videos on YouTube mobile accessible?

I've spent the last two freezing days curled up with a warm, comfy blanket watching vacation videos on YouTube on my phone.

This is my way of escaping this awful weather we are dealing with right now.

Can't wait to read what everyone has to say here. I have been "stalking" disboards for years and have finally gotten the nerve to post (as you can see by my number of posts). :-) We're headed to the Beach Club July 6-13. Staying in a 2-bedroom villa (first time doing that). It'll be my husband and me, our 3 boys (ages 13, 8, and 6 at travel time), my 80-year-old mom, my older brother, and his 17-year-old daughter. Looking forward to hearing everyone's plans and thoughts!

Ok so my Crystal Palace story goes like this…

We were in the Magic Kingdom when my son was 5/6 yrs old and daughter was not quite 2 yrs old. We decided to have a small breakfast at Main Street Bakery. As we finally get all our things to a table (how bout that, we scored a table) with our stroller and all. We just get seated and organized and my DS looks at the tray and starts screaming (at the top of his lungs) “sausage, I want sausage” Of course everyone in the place starts to stare. We try to calm him down with other favorites but to no avail. He just keeps repeating, “sausage”. ***Side note: my DS has autism and this was one of his biggest meltdowns ever.***

He is not spoiled and doesn’t normally do that but he must have overheard us the night before talking about another breakfast where we would have sausage and thought this was it. When there wasn’t any sausage that he had built himself up for, well, let’s just say, he wasn’t real good at changing his mind on the fly so quickly back then, hence the meltdown.
I, the quick thinking mom who knows MK like the back of my hand, told my hubby that I would run to Crystal Palace and pay for sausage, as I know they have that. I run (and I never run anywhere)there and tell my story to a CM and they take my inside. I see a manager CM and he gets his top waitress to help me. She darts into the back and comes out with a cup with a lid on it. At first I thought they were nuts and I look down at the cup with what I am sure is a crazy look on my face. She says, “it’s all we have and I wanted them to stay warm” 5 sausage links in a cup with a lid to keep them warm. I try to give them money and they say that the only payment they want is “for you and your son to have a great and magical day”. Still brings tears to my eyes. :wizard:

When I got back with the sausage, my son was close to hyperventilating and when I showed him the sausage, he sucked in a deep breath and smiled while saying “sausage?” Let me tell you, he didn’t share it either. We went back later in the day to CP and thanked them profusely! They were so nice and the helpful. When I had told them he was autistic and in a meltdown and was screaming for sausage, they couldn’t do enough for me. This is why we love Disney. They take care of everyone with and without disabilities. The ones that have disabilities, they go out of their way to make it a great vacation for. I love that they don’t worry about whether it is a visible or nonvisible disability either. You couldn’t tell if my son had anything wrong with him, he looked like a spoiled 5 yr old throwing a tantrum (and people told me that at the Bakery :furious:) but I knew differently and Disney took my word for it and made a horrible day that was getting worse into a magical day!!!

That is my CP story.

Your story brought tears to MY eyes! That is absolutely awesome! That's the Disney Magic at work. :wizard:

Here's what I'm thinking for now, but I'm open to suggestions!

July 6: arrive at BC, settle in, eat in villa

July 7: EPCOT--lunch around the World, dinner at Coral Reef (like the appetizers and desserts--not thrilled with the entrees). Open to dinner suggestions at EPCOT!

July 8: Resort Day. Maybe Beaches n' Cream lunch. Dinner in villa.

July 9: MK--dinner at 'Ohana (absolute favorite food!)

July 10: Resort Day. Breakfast at Cape May Café. Maybe lunch at Hurricane Hannah's. Dinner in villa.

July 11: Hollywood Studios--Lunch TBD (Pizza Planet, Backlot, ABC Comm.). Dinner at Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic Package).

July 12: Resort Day/Re-visit park of choice. Thinking of booking dinner at Cape May Café or somewhere Downtown Disney.

I think that room-only resorts are pretty typical during the summer months. I'm crossing my fingers. We've got Beach Club Villas booked, but there's NO WAY we can do it without a discount! We're not getting the dining plan this time. Instead, we're putting the dining plan money toward the villa instead of getting the standard room. I promised my hubby that we would have more RESORT time this year (I have been known in the past as the "Park Nazi"). :-)

I think I was able to change all but 6 videos because of music copyright. Can you re-try and let me know?

Thanks and I'm sorry about the awful weather.

DisneyMomFanatic: That story is very touching. And I take this opportunity to tell you that you are a great mom. Never doubt it ;)

We have tried for years to get orders to Eglin AFB with no luck.

We have some friends at Eglin and I would give up a good chunk of change to get orders there lol. Unfortunately we're probably stuck at Barksdale forever and ever.

We're changing some of our schedule. I got all freaked out about the crowd levels so we're switching our Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios days. So 7-20-14 will be Hollywood Studios, and 7-23-14 is Magic Kingdom.
