Happy New Year to you as well. hey, guess what? We are going to DISNEY THIS YEAR. I have been waiting soo long to say that!:goodvibes

At the 180 mark you should be able to book ALL the ADR's you want. If they are available. Right now, BOG seems to be feeling up super duper fast. And CRT.

I am so nervous! Our 180 mark isn't until Jan. 16th! Hoping that we can get most of what we want. BOG dinner is the only one I doubt we will get however we are looking to do it on our last night... so maybe there will still be a chance!!

Happy New Years everyone!

We haven't booked any ADRs yet since it's too far out, but the plans are:
July 19th - we'll be getting in very late, around 9pm and will have been on the road for 14 hours so we're just getting pizzas from manginos

July 20th magic kingdom day, ADR for Kona Cafe at the Polynesian for breakfast, counter service for lunch and dinner

July 21st Epcot day - ADR Cape May for breakfast, world showcase for lunch just picking up random things, and ADR at Via Napoli for dinner.

July 22nd rest day, we'll be going to different resorts and downtown disney to explore. ADR at Trails End at Fort Wilderness for breakfast, somewhere downtown disney or at another resort for lunch and dinner. Possibly off site.

July 23rd Hollywood studios day - either Captains Grille or Garden Gallery for breakfast, counter service for lunch, and then we haven't decided between an ADR for Sci-Fi Diner or 50s Prime Time for dinner (anyone have an opinion between the 2???)

July 24th animal kingdom day - ADR rainforest Cafe for breakfast, counter service for lunch I really want to try Flame Tree BBQ, dinner will either be another counter service, offsite, or at Shades of a Green.

July 25th departure day - grand Floridian cafe for breakfast and then it's time to hit the road and go home =(

Some if the days might change, I'll need to decide soon. The WDW calendar is saying Magic kingdom is the worst park to pick for July 20th and that Hollywood studios is the most recommended. Then on July 23rd when I have us planned to go to Hollywood studios it says the most recommended that day is magic kingdom. Does anyone know how accurate the calendar is? It makes sense to switch those two days if the calendar is right, but this our first trip and I just feel like everyone's first day should be the park with cinderellas castle because it's so iconic. But at the same time, I don't want everyone to be miserable because it's so crowded. Any suggestions/advice are really welcome!

Just booked our ADR's. BOG was available when I wanted it! I checked and it was also available on the other days we plan on being in MK. For anyone going on the 4th.. if you plan on ADR's at Epcot that day the only thing available that I found is Le Cellier. Everything else was booked when I checked.

First off, thanks to the boards for all their help. I have been mainly a lurker here having taken a DW trip in 2008 and then doing DL last summer and the summer before that. Thought I would chime in here and check in and let people know our plans.

If you saw my other post on the Poly construction topic you will know that we were booked into club level there from July 13th to the 21st. With all the (or lack of for that matter) details on potential construction at that resort I decided to pay the $200 extra to stay club level at the GF. Somewhat bittersweet as I had been hoping to stay at the Poly for a number of years, but we know the GF is great so no big deal. Here is what we plan to book once our window opens - the Itinerary Planning people will be helping get these set up for us - if you have thoughts or alternative suggestions let me know.

Ok here are my thoughts on these 2 places. Please keep in mind that this is only my humble opinion. I love 50's Prime Time Café. I love the kitch and home style warmth and fun. I am not a big fan of the menu at Sci Fi. I like the theme and atmosphere, just not the food. At 50's, I like it all. I also like the antics that sometimes go on. (our last visit had no antics at all) I love the comfort food that they do really well. I always feel like I have just sat down at my Grandma's kitchen to have a meal. (if you like that sort of thing, you would probably like that place).

Now, if you ask my DH, he would probably pick Sci-Fi atmosphere and desserts. He is ok with the food and can always find something to eat.

:welcome: on board! So happy to have drawn a lurker out in to the open :rotfl2: I will get you on the front page and on our touring plan and dining plan pages too. It's a bummer about the Poly and the construction, but you are right about the GF being a good alternative. I am sure you will enjoy that. I would love to stay at both those locations some day, but my DH thinks the GF is way too pretentious for his liking. Whatever! Hope you enjoy it.

I saw the link earlier with the July park hours which included the whole month, however, the WDW website only lists hours through July 10. I know, from past trips, that the hours will probably change as we get closer to the dates, but how was the previous one posted when they aren't even on the Disney site yet? We aren't checking in until July 17, and I wanted to be able to get an idea of which parks we'll plan on going to each day so I'm ready on Jan 18 when our ADR window opens up! :thumbsup2

Hello - looks like we might be able to meet up.. Our plans are very similar.

Nice to see you too. My DH got orders to another base messed up our plans a bit. :( I am still bitter. But, hey, I go this year.

OH and we have the same dates as well!

OH and we have the same dates as well!

 I remember last year, our families were staying at the AKL the same time...

The other link is the travel agents calendar which is always sent out/released from Disney before Disney adds everything to their website, but it is the official hours as of now.

Park hours will probably change as the time gets closer but usually it is just an increase in time parks are open.

I bet you'll be able to get a reservation to BOG... Did you see our video of BOG?

I hope so too! I did see your video I believe! We were able to go last summer twice - once with a lunch FP and then our IPO was able to get us a last minute dinner one on our last night... it was amazing!! We loved both experiences! We are doing the FP lunch again on our January trip and are hoping to do the dinner again in July (again on our last night) -

So here are thoughts for ADR's - any opinions?
Dinners at: BOG, CG (adults only - sending DD3 to kids club hopefully!), Mickey's BYBBQ, Chef Mickey's
Lunches at: H&V (With Doc and Sofia!!!) and Akershaus

We aren't doing any breakfasts this time around... DD3 barely eats breakfast and we have CL lounge offerings which should be plenty each morning... although I will miss the Lilo and Stitch one at 'Ohana!

Hey Neighbor - What do you think about our weather today. 70 degrees??? WOW !! what happened??

We took advantage of not shivering to death and got the Christmas lights down from the roof. My dogs enjoyed the warm weather as well. They wanted to be out all day.

Just booked our ADR's. BOG was available when I wanted it! I checked and it was also available on the other days we plan on being in MK. For anyone going on the 4th.. if you plan on ADR's at Epcot that day the only thing available that I found is Le Cellier. Everything else was booked when I checked.

I called to book my ADRs and the lady told me the restaurants at Epcot had not released there availability to book for July 4th (other than Le Cellier)
She told me to keep trying everyday.

I forgot to list my ADR's...

6/30 DHS - Mama Melrose at 5pm (Fantasmic! package)
7/1 Epcot - Akershaus at 10am
7/2 AK- Tusker House at 10:15 am
7/3 MK- Chef Mickey 7:30am
7/4 we'll be in Epcot eating CS all day.
7/5 MK- Be Our Guest at 6pm.. this is the 24th anniversary of the day DH and I met and one month before our 20th wedding anniversary. Did I mention I had a dress like Belle's only white when I got married? Needless to say I was so thrilled I got this one on this day.
7/6 DHS- Whispering Canyon at 1:15 pm
7/7 up in the air- Ohana at 10am

What time can we start making ADRs? :confused3 My window opens on Jan. 15. Last time my TA did it for us, but this time I don't have a TA so it is up to me!
