*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

Welcome Dis Friends.. :wave2: even though we have been going for years, I can't answer your questions. :confused3

1. We have been going the same week in July for years and the hours and EMH have pretty much stayed the same give or take an hour. Our agenda has not changed in 5 years as to which park we visit each day.

Sat - DTD, Sun - MK, Mon - HS, Tues - Ep, Wed - AK, Thurs - Resort Hopping, Fri - MK, Sat - HS, Sun - MK in the morning.

2. We love AKL also, last year the GP discounts came out in April and we reserved 8 days at AKL for 1680.00. There are a couple of more experienced posters on this thread can answer your AP and DVC question.

Thanks :) That helps a lot. I'll be waiting until April to book anyways, as we have to wait to book our flights (using points). Or should I be reserving rooms now?

I can't remember if they require full payment now or when you check in. Can someone remind me? I've never been to WDW, only DL. My hubby has been a lot to WDW.

I have lots of research to do :)

IMO - I would book Room Only reservations now, wait for the discounts and apply them to your existing reservations. One night room deposit is required at the time of booking.

Don't know what resort you are interested in, but I would not take any chances. Don't want you to miss out on a favorite resort in case your room selection sell outs.

If you change your mind you can cancel online but can't change resorts, wait for your refund or call, cancel or change your resort and transfer your deposit.

Hope my rambling makes sense..:lmao:

That makes perfect sense. Now I guess we should decide on dates. Am I crazy to go the first week of July or would the second week be better? Those are our choices.

We are mid-July....the 16th-24th! This will be our third visit mid-July....right now we are booked at the Grand Floridian which would be our first stay there, but we're also considering the Contemporary. We've already stayed at the Poly, WL, POR, and AKL and are wanting to try somewhere different, although we've enjoyed all of them!

We'll be there the same week at BLT!!

Hello!

Brand new to the boards and yes, we will be going to Disneyland in July!

Currently the plan is to go 7/8-7/10 although we will be in California starting 7/3 to visit with my husband's family for the 4th of July!

Pretty excited as I haven't been to any Disney since 2000 when I lived in Germany and we went to Disney Paris. PLUS it is going to be the first time with my daughter, so I can't wait to see her reactions to everything!

We'll be there (Lord Willing :) ) at the Wildnerness Lodge from July 13-July 19 - it will be me, DH, DS and DS BFF :)

:welcome:To the July 2014 thread. :wave2:

Remember - IMO, IMO.... :goodvibes July 4th Festivities at Disneyworld is a spectacular experience and we would probably enjoy it tremendously. BUT--- we would rather vacation at Disney during the second week.

:welcome:Ashleycot28 - You and your Family will enjoy Disney so much together. Only been to Disneyland once in 1969 and the only thing I remember is the Cable Cars, Matterhorn and handing the Cast Members carnival tickets to ride the rides.

WOW!!! That dates me..:lmao:

Yay!! Have you stayed at BLT before?

No! We've stayed at the CR twice. Once in the garden wing and once CL TPV, so we're so excited to try BLT!! It'll be nice to have space for everyone and some room to spread out :) Plus, three bathrooms will be a bonus with all of us girls!

We did Tony's last summer and set our ADR for 2:30 and requested a table outside. We were able to watch the 3:00 parade while we ate and it was soooooo nice!!!
