I just wanted to say we'll have parallel trips! I live in SC and my family lives in PA, so they're driving to my house to spend the night and then we're driving the 6.5 hours to Disney the next day! We'll be a day ahead of you, though. They're coming here on July 16 and we leave for WDW on July 17 :) :) :)

Hi everyone! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Just really swamped at work. Last week we chose student producers for the show I run, and this Thursday and Friday those producers choose their leaders (directors, choreographers, etc.). I also have been busy planning the first ever 3-school competition of SING! between my school and 2 others' winning teams. For those who don't know, SING! is a NYC high school tradition that began in 1947 where student teams, divided by grade, write, produce, direct and perform their own musical, with faculty and alumni as judges. In my school seniors and freshmen team up against juniors and sophomores, and I oversee the production with a wonderful team of faculty advisors to help out. It's a lot of work but I really love it. All the proceeds from the bigger competition among the schools are going to the American Cancer Society so that makes all of us very proud to be a part of it. This is all in addition to teaching 5 Italian classes with 34 students per class! Lucky for me I truly love what I do!

So I haven't been doing disney planning lately. Things should calm down in a couple of weeks so I should be back on here. Of course you never know. But I do miss all my buddies here, and I'm still thinking about WDW even though there's currently no time to devote to planning. I hope everyone is doing well and promise to catch up as soon as I can!

That's cool! Maybe we have the same touring plan one day? Where in PA are your parents from?

Hiiiiiiiiiii :) so nice to see your update. Sounds AMAZING. My ds13 just joined the drama club which caught me so off guard (he plays basketball). He is interested in the behind the scenes sort of thing. Sounds like you are not just busy but CRAZY busy. As if home stuff and a regular job is not enough you really go above and beyond the norm. So exciting though.
My job seems so pointless after seeing all the teachers on here. I'm in retail, beauty department manager so it's fun (free lotions & potions so I never age) ;) But, I certainly don't impact childrens lives as you all do.... But, it pays the bills!
I'm still debating the 1st or 2cnd week in July... And want to put down my down payment next Friday so I better make up my mind. ~ how is your sister doing (I believe you mentioned she is expecting?) can't believe Thanksgiving is next month!!!!!!!!!
:)

North of Pittsburgh. How about you? :) Where in SC are you staying? We live in Chatleston!

This I what happens when I try to DIS at 5:30 am while I'm getting ready for school!! I meant to say 'Charleston!'

You do impact children's lives! You make their mommies feel pretty and look younger, therefore, making them happier mothers which makes for happier kiddos! :) How do you like that logic?! :)

Well guys....we had an awesome trip to Disney this past time. Using the magic bands was a fun experience and everything worked out really well for us. It worked for meals, park entry, fast pass + times, and our door just fine. We never had any issues. The only thing that we experienced this trip was that they couldn't find our fast pass + preselected food at Be our Guest, which wasn't a big deal. All we had to do was get in the fast pass line and reorder the food and it was really fast. The kids really enjoyed BOG, but my DD didn't like her kids meal so she ate half of my meal. Not a big deal. We got to do more meet and greets, had a great time at MNSSHP, and really enjoyed watching some shows the kids have never really wanted to sit through before.

On another note, our extended family has decided to go to the beach this summer and we all want to go together so if we still want to go to Disney, we have to change our dates. So.....we are going in June now right when school lets out for the year. We went in June three summers ago so we are fine with June...just means I will be moving groups to June.

I'll check back everyone once in a while and I hope you guys have awesome July trip. I will miss the July people, but just happy we will get to Disney and the beach with our family.
