I'm so bummed about BTMRR and the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. I'm headed down for my CP and BTMRR is down for pretty much my entire program, stinks.
Oh! I am so sad the Main St. Electrical Parade is being refurbed when I am visiting WDW.It is the highlight of my MK memories. Oh well.
At least I don't have to revolve my MYW tickets around the day of the Parade.
So as of last week there was no Disney in 2012 for us...I have been stalking the disneyworld site...just wishing I could make an excuse to go back...
I finally gave in and booked it Sunday...me and the three boys will arrive Jan 27 and stay thru Feb 1....4 full days in the parks I'll take it!!
They will be so surprised....debating telling them at Christmas or the 27th on our way to the airport (late flight)
Usually the changes are just additions, concentrated mostly around busier times. Basically they release the 'minimum' schedule 6 months in advance and then add hours, particularly at MK, if bookings demand it. We should see the updates come in a week or so at most but I don't expect to see a whole lot of changes outside of the first week of the month.
Looks like Wednesday the 25th is no longer and evening EMH at DHS - I doubt I made that up in my head but it's no longer showing on the calendar - that stinks![]()

I'm definitely a little bummed over MSEP. I had no interest in Fantasmic, but I can see why people would be upset over all of these things being down, as it does seems like a LOT in comparison to say, last year.
On the flip side, I'm trying to look at the brighter side of things. Both Splash Mountain and Star Tours will be open this year, and neither of those were open last late January. Those are two big attractions that I am absolutely thrilled to be riding this January. I'm sure I'm in more of a minority in being somewhat okay with the lack of MSEP and Fantasmic, but for me, I will take the low crowds in January any day than having everything open with higher crowds.
Having the ability to enjoy most attractions being open without sitting in lines for hours vs. having EVERYTHING open but having to wait hours upon hours... I'm personally for option A.
Don't see this as me not understanding why people are upset; I 100% get it and would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed with some of the closures. I guess for me I just figure there are so many things to do at Disney World, outside of just relaxing, that I try to stay positive about my upcoming trip.
