I also noticed that https://tools.dvcvacations.com/points-calculator is no longer working.... I used to use this when I rented points before buying my first contract. Looks like the Heroku site might be down that powered it.

Thank you. This made it clear to me that if we go to Aulani, I need to book before the 7th month mark. I just hope that the DVC rental store will have Aulani points for such.

Submit your request a few days prior to the 11 month mark! It can take time for them to find an owner with Aulani points who wants to rent, as has enough to cover your stay. And watch their paperwork, I have found errors. Fortunately, it was to my benefit and they honored the lower price per point (they made the mistake of sending me a reservation quote using the point value for renting at 7 months, which is less per point than at 11 months). There was another small error again on another reservation, to my benefit, and it all worked out. But the mistakes could have been not so good for me, too. Keep all correspondences from them. Good luck! And put requests in at more than one agency, not all owners use both.
