**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

It looks like BTMRR and Dumbo will be closed for most of January. :(
They both close on January 9th! This is a major disappointment!

I guess it's a good thing we are heading over to MK on Jan 7 and 8 I will get to ride my BTMRR. And one night is EMH, so I will try to ride multiple times.

I know. My youngest was going to be tall enough to ride BTM for the very first time -- we were soooo looking forward to it!

And as I posted a few pages back, Fantasmic is also closed which I was going to take oldest daughter to for the very first time.

oh, well, I'll still take the low crowds anytime and this will give us a chance to try some other shows/rides we wouldn't otherwise.

This makes me so sad. :sad1: I wanted DD to be able to ride Dumbo on her first trip and I love BTMRR.

Tommorow is our 3 month mark to Disney! I think we are planning on watching a Disney movie but we haven't decided which one yet. Any suggestions? We were thinking maybe Wall-E, Lion King or Tangled.

Lion King!

Yea, bummer about those... BUT Splash Mountain will be open all of January for the first time in a very long time. My kids are thrilled!!!:thumbsup2

We are glad Splash Mountain will be open. Though we loved BTMR we would have been disappointed to miss out on SM.

We arrive on the 11th. My daughter is going to be so disappointed because BTMRR is her favorite MK attraction. I knew it was a possibility though.

Does anyone know if they tone down the SPLASH during the winter months?

I think they should put elephant masks on the Aladdin ride so my younger girl won't be disappointed.

Which ride is BTMRR? I've been racking my brain trying to figure it out and I just can't :rotfl:

In other news! Our 3 month count down starts TODAY! :cheer2:

Still waiting on my booking for january, so many rooms have sold out it might be february when we can go. I know my daughter is soooo excited to go on the snow white ride again.

Anyone considering going to the new Legoland? We were going to go to Sea World for one day since we haven't been there in years ... but I just went to the website for Legoland and it looks really cool.

I used to go to Cypress Gardens when I was a kid ... glad to see they are keeping some of the original section as a nature trail.

Legoland is geared toward those with kids ages 2-12.

It hasn't even crossed my radar, but since we don't have children, we more than likely will never go. If Sea World has the free military tickets for 2012, we may go over there one day.

Not us. We went out to Legoland in CA a few years back and while it was interesting it wasn't anything that we felt like we had to go back to see. When we go down to Orlando, we never set foot off property unless it's going to or from the airport.

We are exactly the same way. But, I really want to go to Sea World one day at some point. I have even mentioned Universal, which I don't care about, and DH apparently doesn't either, he said he went as a child and that was all he needed.

We have gone over to the outlets before, but not in awhile.

Not us either. We've been to the one in Southern CA and it didn't really impress us. However, I can't wait to read the reviews of the one in FL and if it sounds impressive, we may plan it into a trip down the road.

We did Gatorland last year and my DS absolutely loved it and the gators, so we're going to do one of the gator airboat rides this trip. And we will probably hit the outlets and shop one day. But other than that, we'll be onsite the rest of the time.
