I loved when Hahn asked if McDreamy/McSteamy were a couple and then later on when she called them pretty and prettier. LOL
There was one scene in the beginning when McDreamy walked past Mer and was smiling. OMG. I don't know if it was just me, but he was so HOT.
Also loved the whole 'gentleman's evening' confussion. Pretty funny stuff.

My hubby gets to see PAtrick Dempsey at races occasionally...he works for a racing team that is often set up next to McDreamys. I have an 8x10 of him with my DH at my work, haha! LOVE him! Love the show!

Kung Fu Fighting
Despite the episode title, there's no kung fu to be had this week. But there is a skydiver whose parachute didn't open, which I think is exciting enough to make up for it. The only thing is, he turns out to have no injuries, and the only surgery he needs is an appendectomy. As luck would have it, he had on a helmet cam that filmed the whole accident, so the residents gather to watch and realize that he's in love with his skydiving instructor. Meredith feels a particular kinship with him due to her own near-death experience and warns him that the feelings of clarity will leave, and so he'd better tell her that he loves her while he still has the guts. She herself finally realizes that she can't bring herself to stop having breakup sex with Derek because the few moments afterward is her own little bit of clarity, but who knows if this will actually carry over into her moving forward to a more functional relationship with him.

Cristina's been awesome trying to help her out while she tries to figure out why she's an emotional mess, but even she doesn't have the answers for Mere. She does, however, have a solution to a problem facing Hahn and Izzie, namely that their patient needs heart surgery and is allergic to anesthesia. She researches a method that can be used to do the surgery on him while he's awake, but despite the fact that Hahn thinks it's a great idea and uses it, she still has Izzie scrub in instead of Cristina. This leaves Cristina to watch the surgery from the gallery, miming the procedure as she watches.

Izzie is rather freaked out about the whole thing, especially since she's gotten to know the patient and knows how terrified he is. With some encouraging words from George to be herself (as opposed to trying to be Cristina), she ends up making the surgery as comfortable as possible for the patient, and then calms him down and talks him through the procedure when he starts to freak out. The bonus to all this is that she's too tired that night to have the perfect (barf) awesome (retch) sex that she and George had planned.

George himself had an interesting day in which he had to hold on to a wedding dress for hours. Two women were brought in having beaten the crap out of each other to win a dream wedding, and the last one holding the dress wins. Mark, who out of loyalty to Callie wants to give George a hard time, offers George to be the stand-in so that one bride can go have her shoulder put back in its socket. While George is there he ends up bonding with the other bride, who ends up collapsing from internal injuries. She turns out to be sweet and awesome, and George had to let go first to catch her when she passed out, so she wins the wedding over the heinous, *****y girl. After watching this gross display, Callie decides it's time to just let go, and she and George have a nice moment where they actually talk like the people they were months and months ago before their Wedding of Doom. The mostly warm and fuzzy day comes to a close with Richard, Mark, Derek, and Hahn bonding over a game of Monopoly out at the trailers (Richard has pulled up his own next to Derek's for the time being), and finally with Alex and Lexie having some supposedly-no-strings-attached sex back at the house. Unfortunately, Meredith walks out of her bedroom to both her and Lexie's horror, setting up all sorts of sisterly angst for the next week.

I love that Bailey if finally Chief Resident... She deserves the official title - especially since she was doing most of the work anyway...

I'm not feeling the Chief living on Derek's land - he's gotta go!

Mark being HOT for Hahn - that was hysterical! (Anyone think they'll end up falling into bed together this season?? Can he wear her down?)

Alex and Lexi - okay, whatever - I like his enthusiasm for Ava/Rebecca better though!

Mere - commit already! He LOVES you!

Yang and Callie - They're kinda funny together - both being so brutally honest.

George and Izzie - are they gonna make it? I don't know!?!?! We'll just have to wait and see!

I loved how the chief was just hugging her and had that I do not understand women look on his face. I feel like hes the daddy trying to control all his kids!

I'm not feeling the Chief living on Derek's land - he's gotta go! I just get a kick out of the relationship between the 2 of them now. I think ill be sick of it in another couple episodes though.

UGH! So they had one night of hot drunken bumpity bump. They've lost their mojo. It's kind of like remembering something with such oomph from your childhood and then having it again now and it's just not as good. Besides, George needs a boyfriend not a GF or a wife.

I thought last week's episode was one of the best this season. I loved that Izzy and George don't appear to be working out. I especially loved that Izzy didn't CRY. I am so SICK of that woman crying I can't see straight. We had to watch her cry over Denny for a whole season, I simply cannot handle her crying over George. Nice to see the writers may be taking this back to where the two of them are just what they should be, best friends and nothing more.

Love Callie and Christina living together. Especially among Christina's crap. That storyline is so funny to me. I was worried when Callie said she was fired that it might mean she is fired from the hospital all together, but DH said no, he thought it only meant she was fired as Chief Resident. I sure hope thats all it is, I really like Callie.

Mere is ridiculous. Can you imagine someone turning down McDreamy in real life? That would never happen. Men like McDreamy don't pine away for some woman, in reality, he'd have so many women knocking at his door that he'd simply walk away from Mere and her craziness.

I really like Lexi and Alex together. Didn't like Rebecca/Ava at all and hope she doesn't come back into the picture. Thought the twist at the end with Lexi and Mere's drunken Dad was pretty interesting. That guy always seemed way twisted to me.

Loved the heart surgeon's reply to McSteamy, we were rolling. She nailed him right from the start. I'm not sure how I feel about her. I don't like what she is doing to Christina, but it makes for an intersting storyline.

Overall, I'm thrilled with this season. Seasons 1 and 2 were so good and Season 3 was a real let down for me. Glad to see Season 4 is back on track.

Overall I enjoyed the episode but it really bothered me when Bailey started crying when she got the chief resident position. It was so out of character for her; I found it disappointing.

I loved this week's episode.

About Bailey, I actually liked that they had her cry. It shows that she is not always "tough", that she DOES have a softer side. She seems more like a real person to me like that. She was so very upset that she didn't get it and that the boss actually came to her and apologized and made the change without HER asking for it. That is why she cried. Relief. That he actually noticed her hard work all on his own this time.

I am hoping the have Mere get with it now.

I am thinking that Alex will be a bit more attracted to Lexi now knowing what she is going through at home. At least in being a good friend.

We all know that at some point they have to have the new surgeon get with Mark. I mean, remember when she was first hired and made mention of how Hot Derrick and Mark were????
