The *OFFICIAL* Grey's Anatomy Fan Thread!

I'm going with the Addie was pregnant and didn’t have the baby...Mark is still upset over it...what i can figure out... was she pregnant in NY or is this from when Mark came back to Seattle??? guess i'll have to wait..

I think that "this week" was something between Addison & Mark & then the preview.... "I wanted a baby, just not with you", so I think it was the one year anniversary of not wanting that baby..... but that's just my gut feeling, I don't get the feeling she is pregnant now....

Callie was great last night!!!

George's father's diagnosis is a death sentence, even if he came through it, you could never battle the esophageal cancer with mets throughout.... That will never have a good outcome... so sad as George's dad and family has been becoming more interesting

I think Burke and Christina have gone over the edge :rotfl:
Could you please explain what "with mets" means? I'm kind of lost.

I am guesssing metastisizing into other areas such as the stomach.

Denae

Yes. "With mets" means the cancer has spread from the original site. In this case didn't they mention stomach and liver? That puts the patient at a higher stage for their cancer diagnosis and therefore gives them a poorer prognosis.

This is exactly right... the Esophageal cancer has only like a 5% success rate at 5 years to begin with, if you add in the other organs :( Nothing good can come from this...

Holy poop on a stick, how could Meredith even mention morning breath? I would totally deal!

Absolutely great episode! The staring was so funny - Callie looked like she was a psycho! The whole baby thing is interesting! I wonder how that will play out. I hope Meredith can get some peace of mind from her father. Christina and Burke are making me so mad! Just start talking to each other and stop being so stubborn. I think they will break up at some point. Can't wait for next week. I am watching reruns of Lifetime now just to get another dose of McDreamy!!!

Loved the episode sooooooo much! I'm totally noting now that next week is going to be a cry-fest though... Which makes me sad, I did enough of that over Denny!

Izzie made me want to cry... She's gonna help that girl and get in trouble for it from Bailey (or so it looks from previews.)

Alex intrigues me - I love how he told Addison that he got the wrong coffee on purpose because Mark "was rude to you." That was so honest - a HUGE step for him... Perhaps they could be good together! (Did anyone feel like Addison's *interrogation* of Burke about Christina was odd though? Like she was almost thinking that way about Alex, before anything happened!?!?!)

McDreamy's gonna be McSleepy soon - because those breathing strips didn't seem to work for Mere and now that she's opened up about the abandonment issues I'm sure he won't be leaving that bed...

I do like Mark - I think he was hurt by Addison, perhaps those were the references to "this week." Perhaps that also led to his cheating on her... I think there's more of a story to him - that we're going to find out as the season progresses... At least I sure hope there is!

I LOVE the O'Malley clan and I don't want to see any of them go - George's brothers crack me up and the writers are developing his fathers character so much that I'm going to miss him! (They're so good at that!) TR Knight's performance sucked me in, as I was on the verge of tears as he shook outside his father's hospital room saying over and over again "That's my dad..." I think McMalley's going to have some painful, heartwrenching scenes this coming Thursday night. My tissues are ready...

Callie's too funny too - Her staring thing was a little creepy though! Perhaps she'll be able to help George through the events that this week will bring...

Bumping for tonight

Dumb question alert!

Ok I hopped onto the grey's bandwagon late since Supernatural is on at the same time. But is Denny also Sam and Dean's dad? It's making me crazy

Woo Hoo! :cool1: Only 1 hour 15 minutes to go! Then rerun tomorrow night... Does everyone have their tissues ready? I'm sure tonight's going to be a cry-fest episode.

Now that we're on the topic of Denny/Jeffery Dean Morgan - has anyone seen anymore news on the supposed pilot that Shonda Rhimes was writing for him to star in? (I read that somewhere during the hoopla of the Denny's death episode!)

What a sad episode. DH came in at the end when I was weeping and asked if two people got stuck on a pole together again. :rotfl: I guess he had flashbacks of the last time I was weeping in front of the TV. The scene where George breaks down when he finds out the Chief and Bailey did not tell him the details of his father's surgery was so heartbreaking. I was bawling from that point and didn't stop until the end.

Oh, also, George and Callie warmed my bitter heart tonight. I'm really starting to like them as a couple.

Christina and Burke's cat and mouse game is on my nerves, but what good actors they both are. Both have so much expression in their faces that they are able to act and evoke emotion without saying a word.

Izzie giving the girl the money for surgery was so obvious, no surprises there. But I was glad when she stood up to Bailey and told her she would not compromise who she is. I love Izzie, she is my favorite character on the show, and I am so glad she is getting back to her old self.

OK, no comments? I almost fell out of bed when Addison said that she'd aborted Mark's child and that that day would have been the due date, that was shocking...

Glad Meredith was able to speak with her own father at least for a moment

And, as expected, George and his family :( it was so sad I cried....

I commented! :p

I did forget to comment on Addison and Mark and the aborted fetus. I think I am still recovering from that piece of news. :sad2: I'm so annoyed that both Cristina and Addison, two brilliant doctors, don't know enough to not get pregnant, not to mention the idea these women are not practicing safe sex.

I know, its just a TV show, but come on! Enough with the abortions already.

Oh I almost forgot, who was the In Memory Of at the end of the show for?

I agree about these women being doctors, they should know better :confused3

Knew this episode was going to make me bawl. However, DH & I both cracked up at the unexpected comic relief when George's family was standing against the wall with George & Callie. The bit of ...umm... gastrointestinal distress his brother experienced because he was anxious...

Anyone :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

The whole episode    When George yells at Chief & Bailey for not telling him about his fathers wishes and subsequent death sentence due to that decision was heart wrenching. When he is shaving his father and apologizing for lying when he was younger and then when he finally passes away near the end. Truly an amazing performance by everyone!!! I went through something similar to this when my grandmother passed away and it really made me remember those memories - last nights show was very life like and makes you have to remember...it IS only a show. I liked that they broke it up with a little comic relief - the gas scene :rotfl2: & when George realizes Izzie's check is no longer on the fridge door. We all knew Izzie was going to give the money for the spine surgery on the 17yo. Interesting twist with Mark & Addison - not surprised by it but it will be interesting to see where it goes. Also be interesting to see where they are going with Karev & Addison...can't picture it a long term thing but hey, we'll see.
