The Official GLEE thread

Why? I guess I'm more easily amused than you. :confused3
Oh no - not by the amusement. Rather: By the lack of distinction between the two, or the distinction in the opposite direction than I would have expected.

I think they did okay. :)

I'd have put DD in touch w/ you when she was six & just couldn't wrap her brain around what it meant to rhyme words. Would have saved me one of the most frustrating evenings I've ever spent.

Overall we enjoyed the episode at our house. DD12 & DD16 just recently watched RHPS for the first time & we were all dying to see what Glee was going to do w/ it. Had it's highs & lows. Not our favorite episode, but a decent job.

For anybody who's interested, there are now previews of the Glee Christmas album on youtube! After listening to it I'm even more excited for it now. It sounds awesome! Some of it may be because it kind of reminds me of Disney (especially the first song in the preview...totally makes me think of the Twas the Night Before Christmas show at MVMCP). I also love the song from Rudolph...it's at about 2 min. in the preview! Lea Michele is amazing on O Holy Night too. Did I mention I'm excited??? hehe Can't wait for the episode either.

Here's the link!

I read they're doing Katy Perry :lovestruc songs on next week's episode. I want Lea to sing Firework!

ETA: I have since found out they're only doing the song Teenage Dream. I hope they will perform Firework soon.

This was my favorite episode so far this season. I just want to take Kurt and Biest and hug them both all up. Mr Shue is awesome, he is so compassionate and caring. Plus Puck is back! :woohoo:

Not enough Brittany tonight though and I am glad Rachel has a very small role.

Agreed, one of the best episodes yet. I laughed pretty hard at Kurt's expression when the guy kissed him. They should become the schools new power couple, it'd be awesome. Blaine as just a mentor would be best as he would be too obvious but adding him as a secondary character would be good. Also the girls mashup was awesome!

I HATED that Shue kissed Beist! As soon as she said she'd never been kissed, I was like, "Oh, please don't kiss her, Will, please don't kiss her...don't do it, ok...he's not going to do it...OHHHH! Why?"

Although I feel sorry for the woman-i literally cringe every time Beist is on the screen=she is so masculine looking-blech:scared1:

They need to hook Beist up with Coach Tanaka.

I felt so bad for Kurt this episode. The bullying thing really got to me. :(

There were some really awkward moments during the episode, but it was my favorite of the season (I was almost not going to watch this one because I was getting sick of the show. They restored my faith!)

I do like the way they addressed bullying with Kurt without being so blatant about it.

And I totally agree Nikki...I saw that coming and I was like "ohhh c'mon..."

Yeah but you know...it's GLEE so he HAD to do it.

I loved when Shue kissed Beist. I thought it showed how compassionate and caring he really is! It was not pleasant to watch, but that was the point. Just because someone is not attractive in your eyes does not mean they are not loveable. I feel more compassion for her character than for any of the kids.

Same here... it was just.too.much to couple with the heaviness of the bullying of Kurt. Though Beist in the tutu with the cigar was a great visual. I think it helped break up the heaviness.

:(

:rotfl: I said the same thing!

I did start to think that maybe the football jerk liked kurt, but I was still really shocked when he kissed him.

On another note, did anyone else see that they came out with a Glee Karaoke game for the Wii and a Glee DVD Board game? I can't wait to get them for my dd!!!!

I love Biest and I'm glad Will kissed her. I thought last night was the best episode of this season.

I agree.

This must have been the "bullying" episode. It was well done. Yes, it was uncomfortable, but that was the point.

Biest was picked on and bullied, leaving her sad and lonely. Will got that, and felt bad that his Glee kids were a part of that. The kiss was in part to make up for it, and also to show that he sees her for more than a stereotype.

I like the way they addressed it too. I especially like that it ended with him still being bullied because that is more realistic than everything just being ok in the end.

I feel the complete opposite!! It was a total pity kiss...not at all what she described she wanted! Would you want your first kiss to be from someone who felt bad for you or someone who actually had feelings for you? What would he do if she had feelings for him? Would he actually date her? I think not. I think him kissing her was more insulting that compassionate.

I totally agree. That was my whole issue with the Biest/Shue kiss.

I liked the kiss. I think it was about showing that someone cared for her and saw the the wonderful person inside. It was not about romance, rather having the moment of connection with someone. Now, if it had been more of a tonsil hockey moment, I would probably rethink, but it was about sharing a moment with her that she needed.
