The Official GLEE thread

love reading all the posts about my favorite new show. I thought Carol Burnett looked great for her age and I love how the sue shows her somewhat mellow side. I liked that Mr. Shu admitted he was wrong in trying to get the kids to performing rocky horror to win his girl back and I thought gwenth paltrow was a riot on the show... The writers always bring something new and believable to this show and that is why I will continue to watch it.

now the show that follows "raising Hope" is my next favorite show..It is so hysterical I love it..anyone else watch it?

Maybe it's a little selfish of me, but I'm happy Kurt is transferring. That means we get to see a lot more of Darren Criss (Blaine) who I have been a fan of for a while. Not sure how many people know this, but he was part of an internet sensation before Glee. He played Harry Potter in a fan created musical called "A Very Potter Musical" and it's sequel "A Very Potter Sequel." You can watch them on youtube. Here's the youtube channel you can find them on. I'm not an avid Potter fan, but I know the basic story and I love them because it's just my kind of humor.

Back to what I was saying, I would love to see more of Blaine's character. Kurt has been in this awful place with all the bullying and I feel that Blaine is helping him out of that. Blaine isn't too bad looking either. :thumbsup2 I don't think Kurt will stay at Dalton, I just feel like it won't be a good fit for him creatively. I mean they have to wear uniforms what will he do with all his clothes? I did not see the Karovsky kiss coming. I thought they both did an amazing job with the acting of that scene.

Sue's wedding was ridiculous. However, I love Sue's compassionate side. I loved that she expelled Karovsky and that she stood up to her mother about leaving her and her sister. Knowing Sue's situation kind of gives you an idea as to why she gives everyone a hard time. Kurt's dad and Finn's mom's wedding was adorable. Although, I found the song "Marry You" a few days before the episode aired and fell in love with it. I think it's the cutest song ever, but I felt like it could have been saved for a cuter time even though it fit the episode perfectly. I could go on and on and on forever about this show. <3

Darn, you beat me to it. If you can catch it, it's hysterical.

I don't see the suicide angle as being realistic. While Glee has managed to deal with certain issues with grace, I don't see them getting that heavy handed. I see either the bully dropping out/being forced to leave school or coming to finally deal with his homosexuality. But, I do agree that Kurt will eventually be back.

Whereever they take the bullying...

with Kurt transferring, anyone think Finn will be left to pick up the angry pieces in the locker room?

I see 1-2 people getting kicked off the football team if the drama moves in there. Beist won't stand for it!

Hopefully Kurt transferring will mean that Season 2 of Glee will no longer be known to me as Glee Season 2: The Saga of Kurt. Is it just me or is about 60% of most episodes this season about Kurt?

Tomorrow's episode looks good because it seems to be about sectionals, which (hopefully) means we will see Glee Club, as a group, perform some songs. I loved that about season 1 and haven't seen enough of that in season 2.

Most of last season was focused on Rachel... I think the change has been kinda nice.

A lot of it has been about Kurt because of the recent issues with gay bullying. I personally like that they've been bringing that to attention. I agree that some other stuff would be nice as well, but I think they're doing a great job addressing a major problem in our country.

i'll be sad if there is less Kurt to be honest I love Kurt. I love the fact they created the roll special for Chris Colfer (he auditioned to be Artie). I must say though anyone else miss Artie and Tina together? I just find him and Britney together odd lol

Me, too, but I really want Kurt to come back! This is just such a huge problem in our society. Anything that can help to correct this problem is ok with me.

Wasn't that the point, though - the contrast between this rather unlikeable character and this remarkably fantastic talent?

:thumbsup2 The writers are good at that... they did the same for Beist - created a character for the gal that plays her.

ITA! Britney belongs with the jocks, not Artie, but then again, you never know with relationships. Those that seem so odd can sometimes be the greatest.

:thumbsup2 I think they are doing a great job with the topic. They are evoking enough emotion to make everyone feel uncomfortable, right along with Kurt. Right down to the bullies getting away with it because "no one saw anything". I'm interested in where it will go from here.

I agree. Although I am biased because I do not like Rachel AT ALL....
She's not all terrible. :goodvibes The girl can sang! (as my old choir teacher would say...) And there is ALWAYS that girl at school. I think the thing that bugs me the most is the prude-ness/sluttiness scenario. Ridiculous. Her facial expressions (when she sings) kinda bug me too - especially knowing that they lip sync, there's no need to emote that much to a track... well ever. The emotion should come from the song, not the face!

Some of the facial expressions are a little much but she's showing her connectedness to the song. A lot of broadway singers make big faces when they sing because they're not only singing a song but they're also conveying an emotion of a character. I also think it's really likely that they sing over the tracks. I don't know for sure but that's what a lot of people do for music videos and such so I'd assume they'd do it also. I think she has such an amazing voice. I wish I was half as talented as that girl.

Oh no I agree, I love her voice :goodvibes It's just her character is really annoying and for the reasons you said as well...why did the creators have to make her so annoying lol?

But alas... she's not on Broadway anymore! I wish she would tone it down just a touch!

As I said, there's always that girl.

I really loved the duet with Rachel and Kurt last night. It fit so well. DD could not be pulled away from New Direction's sectional routine. She heard the music and came running - I had to rewind it 3 times!

My favorite episode of the season so far! I LOVED the comb story!! :lmao:

While I liked last year's sectionals better this year was just okay for me. I am not sure why though. The past few episodes have been only okay for me. I hope it picks up soon.

I think one of the reasons is it takes them so long to start singing in the episodes lately. I mean it took a while last night.
