Hi everyone, I've been reading this thread for a few weeks, and decided I'd finally add my two cents. Am I the only one who expected more of the Friday Night "fight"? I know I read somewhere (lately I've been on different GG web sites) how they shot so much footage, it was something like 8 scenes, so I expected to see more of the fireworks. Paris' meltdown was classic, it's good to see Rory back in "charge". (how soon before she's named publisher of the paper?). What's the big announcement going to be I wonder?

Well, I guess I wasn't paying enough attention since I Dis and watch at the same time. Was the last 10 minutes of Friday night dinner what really happened, what happened from each character's perspective, or the docile moments were real and the "fights" were what Lorelai wanted to happen? I was just lost.

As for the preview - YIKES! Given Lorelai's reaction, I'm prone to believe Rory will be pregnant, but man, oh man, I don't want that to be it!

Okay - I NEVER watched this show, until my sister told me she was watching the past seasons on DVD...so not to be out done, I have started getting them from NETFLIX - I watched the 16 episodes over the weekend (I love watching on DVD - no commericials - one episode to the next) - and am now waiting for the next 4 DVDs to come. I also realized today that they have re-runs on ABC Family at 10:30am. I recorded tonight's show - but not sure if I am going to watch since I'm still in the first season on DVD, and I guess the re-runs are 2nd of 3rd season - when she is applying for college.

That being said - I LOVE THE SHOW.

I enjoyed lasts night episode...I too expected "more" from the Friday night dinner but what really was the outcome? Will they all get along now or hold on to their hurts? I did really like it when Emily told what she said to Mommy Huntsberger though....a hoot!...Oh, and when Richard yells at Emily for looking at the plane....I just loved that scene when she was pouting and goes to buy a plane. too funny.


The announcement...just speculation...either moving in together or marriage??? Maybe Rory getting married before Lorelei is throwing her for a loop. Here Lorelei was ready to make the leap even asked Luke to marry her and now he is the one that needs the time. She's the one who has always had to call the shots and now she's had to wait. Just a thought.....


I am starting to like Logan a tweensy weensy bit though. lol

I liked Logan a little eensy weensy bit last night.

And really, I could not stand Luke. I know this is "all new" to him, but hello...how long is it going to take him to realize that he's completely shutting Lorelai out? And that she's clearly and obviously upset about it?

Believe it or not, we just started watching Gilmore Girls and we LOVE it. It is just so out there and funny. I am thinking about getting the previous seasons on DVD.
At times I do get a bit lot and confused though...

Some observations:

I think Rory is going to turn up pregnant.

I LOVE Logan.

Luke has his head stuck in sand - wake up!!

Paul Anka is hysterical - what dog takes books off a shelf??

Ok, I must be the only one but I was completely confused during Friday nights dinner. WTH was going on?

And, ok, I admit it, I liked Logan just a schmidge! But, only a schmidge.

I have always liked Logan - he is so darn cute too.

He reminds me of a composite of all the class cut-ups I went to school with. College was fun and a last hurrah before they had to suck it up and become responsible adults. Some of the biggest goof-offs in college are now the most respected in the community.

Paris' scenes last night were CLASSIC!! You have to love her office and her meltdown. They both had me

I think the dinner was a series of vingettes designed to let the viewers know that all the issues were addressed, so when they reinstitute the dinners without any comment about all the past hoohaw, we won't all be wondering why not.

Around here it is the Pistons. I HATE THAT TOO!!!!! We did get it last night though. New week is still unknown. I often forget to watch when the broadcast it on Saturday and then I miss it until the DVD's come out. I am still waiting for the one where Emily tells off Logan's mother, missed it becasue of a b-ball game. Did I mention I hate that.

I finally watched my TIVO'd GG from last night!

I really loved it this episode. And I loved the FND scene!

It may have been the best all season.
