The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

Just what a dad looks for in a possible future son in law---someone that doesn't respond to or respect authority or rules!!

Funny that we are expected to believe that two episodes Ror and Logan were not even talking, and she was enraged at him. Last episode the newspaper thing, and they made up. Now they are living together. That was quick!

And for Lor to say to Rory that she has never lived with a man before and to let her know what that is like....kinda funny!

Michel--funny that he missed his coffee date with Lorelei!

I didn't know the Gilmores knew about Lukes daughter, I was expecting more of a big blowout/discussion about that!

I don't exactly think of Christopher in the typical Father sense. His behavior in the past shows that he looks at things concerning Rory and Lorelai in an immature way. It's not surprising that he admires Logan's behavior which mirrors his own.

Lorelai told her father about Luke's daughter when Rory and Emily were arguing in the previous weeks' episode.

I like Christopher too. I loved it when he and Logan were discussing prep schools- there are a few common threads there.

Are we being set up for a conversation/revelation later down the road where Christopher's early manhood and life course is very similar to Logan's path?

I just loved it when he started in on the prep schools mainly because two of my kids go to and have graduated from schools in the same league.

Groton -well known Massachusetts old line boarding prep school is part of the Independent School league (ISL)

St. Sebastian's - Massachusetts prep school (but no boarding) also in the ISL, right around the corner from my house.

St. Cyril's unfortunately never heard of it, was that made up??

Deerfield- not in the ISL but a well known Massachusetts old line boarding prep school (and alma mater of my son's college roommate and husband's former boss)

Rivers - Massachusetts prep school (but no boarding) also in the ISL, neighbors kids go there.

St. Mark's- well known Massachusetts old line boarding prep school is part of the Independent School league (ISL)

I know it is all fiction but it definitely catches my attention and makes me chuckle when they throw in something so close to my life!!! There must be some ISL school alums writing for "Gilmore Girls" having fun throwing in the names of old rival schools.

Off the topic, we found it quite humorous when one of the main characters from Tom Wolfe's novel "I am Charlotte Simmons" was portrayed as a graduate of my son's school.

Well, I thought last night's ep was pretty boring. My one question is:

Are Colin and Finn Logan's hired help? How come everytime Rory has to move, he sends Colin and Finn to do the lifting?

Don't you know, thats such a prep school thing "I'll have my boys take care of it". Sortof the origin of the "old boys network".

I loved that scene with Logan and Christopher.... then the xbox, and hes moving in too!! :lmao: Not the typical father figure huh???

and its funny how Rory changes her mind about logan so quickly... but desperate times call for desperate measures!!!

I too enjoy it when a program mentions things that I have know about or have been a part of. I am sure this was cool for you cuz you know the system they were talking about!!!

Bumping up for the show tonight...should be a good one! I think this is the first one I've been excited about in a long time.

I LOVED tonight's episode~

I HATE Mitchem!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :stir:

I thought it was great that Logan and Luke are on good terms and I thought it was sweet that he gave luke a necklace to give to Lor.
It was ironic when rory said they could be the ones! :sunny:

Was anyone else freaked out by how green it was in Stars Hallow and Martha's Vineyard in February? Looked more like late Spring then Winter. Maybe I'm just not good a geography. :confused3

I was thinking the same thing when loreli & luke were packing the car in her little sweater that was unzipped. I know it's been warm this winter but not this warm. You still need a coat. LOL

So, I'm thinking that it might be Logan and Rory who get married on June 3rd. Emily sent out announcements(though it was for Lorelei) and this way Logan may not have to go to England if they get married....any thoughts?

Luke and Lorelei may elope....

Do you think they would have a double wedding? :confused3

Good point. Maybe it will be Rory and Logan. I have to admit, I thought she was great last night going to the gym, cooking, reading the paper. They really did seem like a great couple.

Now Luke on the other hand really made me mad! He was being such a jerk the whole first half! :furious:

I just don't see Rory getting married soon. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see it.

I did like Logan even more last night, but I don't know why he goes along with his father's demands? Only thing I can think of is fear of being cut off? Well, Rory's rich now (through Christopher)...maybe she can be his sugar momma! ;)

Luke was a jerk last night. There wasn't one moment when I liked him, even after he started being nice to everyone. I think he's treating Lor just crappy.

No previews for next week; repeat?

OK that was just totally clueless on the producer's part. Of course it wasn't really shot in Martha's Vineyard but the "stock footage" that they plugged in of the harbor was just out and out ridiculous. Beautiful boats sailing, green green grass and bright pink beach roses. That was sometime in early July based on my guess. And that gym was clearly something out of a metropolitan area, not Martha's Vineyard in the off season!!! Even in season you would be hard pressed to find a gym set up like that on Martha's Vineyard. Have these writers and producers ever been to the Vineyard in the winter. Cold, cold, cold and lots of ice covered / coated waterfront, even with this winter's unseasonably warm weather. Not even the house was at all believable. Much more California than New England looking. It all just ruined the show for me last night! I had such high hopes, probably the most amateur, worst written and worst produced episode of GG ever!!!!!!!

I also LOVED Rory and Logan yesterday. Both at the apartment and at the house at the Vineyard.... they were too cute!

I am a little concerned though..... without giving it out for those of you who don't read ahead ;) , but what about the spoilerfix.com stuff? I hope it's wrong or at least I'm interpreting it wrong! :confused3

It is a repeat next week; next new ep is Feb 28th.

Re: the spoiler...I'm interested to see how it plays out.

I have a feeling that L&L will elope (especially after seeing how Emily has been "Emily" with the engagement announcement). What was up with Luke in the first half of last night? And then, again, shutting out Lorelei with all the April stuff. I thought they were finally letting him "get it" that he should be including Lorelei in his interacting with April, then he blows it in the end. And why is Lorelei, who usually is SO vocal in her opinions, just sulking and being quiet and glum? Honestly, am I the only one who has had enough of our Lorelei pouting this year?

My TV Guide shows a special on next week, so we won't even get a rerun (that's O.K., figure skating will take up the t.v. next Tuesday in this house).

and hello, they are from CT, not FL. you'd think they'd have, oh, jackets. and Luke, who is a gourmet cook (and lives in New England), has never ever tasted lobster?
