The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

MM!!! You're back!! I started a thread looking for you yesterday! How was your trip? Did you make it through the flights okay without too much stress?

Mal - you are the best! I made it ok. I am actually pretty proud of myself and the flights were pretty good. The only problem I ran into was that Independence Air changed my flight going home and I wouldn't have known about it had I not logged on to their site to check what gates I was flying out of - I would have missed my plane  The flight they moved me to had a 3 HOUR lay over...UGH but here I am!

Thanks, sweetie :goodvibes

Now, I'll comment on this weeks ep - Rory is annoying the crap out of me. I too, think she was reconsidering her decision when she was watching Freshmen Orientation and then they show her at the DAR and she had that look on her face like "What the heck am I doing here?"

Loved that Lorelai finally said something to Luke about the wedding date and I can understand her wanting to wait till things were right.

Loved Sookies new hair do!

Oh, I forgot about Sookie's new 'do. I liked it too! And I want to see Jackson more. He cracks me up!

I can't wait to see Lorelai and Rory forced to be civil to each other next week for Sookie's baby's christening (did we ever learn baby girl's name?...I have been wondering if it is Lorelai!).

Me and my husband both said, the band van is going to be in an accident. We were surprised there was no crash.

The season does seem a little forced, there is no anxiety edge to the show. It feels like all the characters have gotten to the place where we want them to be and it is like , "now what".

It looks like a good episode next week with the baptism's. I think Rory and her mom should go thru some rough times, but we all want them to make up, just not yet.

And, I bet Paris has a problem with the apartment and ends up moving in with Rory at her grandparents. I think it would make a good story line for Rory watching Paris do college things.

The previews for next week do look interesting, and did they say the baby's name yet???

I like the idea of paris moving in with Em and Rich too!!! what a twisted story line, that would put the show back on track!!!

And one more thing...I cannot believe Em and Rich had no problem with Logan lying naked on the sofa with Rory...especially with what happened to Lorelai. I can't believe they haven't laid down any ground rules about that. Of course, maybe they're hoping she will get pregnant and then have to marry the illustrious Huntsburger.

Can you tell I am really not liking Rory this season? :teeth: Actually, I wasn't all to thrilled with her last season either.

I wondered about Rory & Logan on the couch, too. I kept expecting Emily to come bursting in...which actually would have been a better scene!

Has anyone else noticed that Rory seems to be doing a whole lot of drinking in bars & restaurants even though she's not 21 yet? She and Luke were drinking mimosas at breakfast (the champagne bottle was on the table), drinking beer at the bar where they'd all dressed up in prison duds?

Yes, I have noticed the drinking. And while I am in no way the liquor police, I do not think that it's a very smart thing to do while you are under sentence for a crime. All she needs is to get busted for that...and how would Em and Rich explain that away?

Bleh...this whole season is annoying me. But of course, I'll keep watching... :teeth:

:teeth: I think that's why I keep noticing the drinking--I'm very nervous that she's going to get caught and end up in more trouble. I thought at first that maybe she'd turned 21 but then when Luke said something about Rory being a kid, Lorelai said, "She's 20 years old. She's not a kid." Then, in the same show, Rory was pretty plastered in the bar with Logan and his friends.

I'm actually really relating to this season--mainly because I've been through the whole being so close with your dd and having her do something you're totally opposed to. I identify with it too much sometimes. :teeth:

Well, she'll be 21 sometime in October, so we only have to sweat it a couple more weeks! :teeth:

I just don't like that she had such an easy out. I did things my parents disapproved of when I was her age...but I didn't have rich, accomodating grandparents to run to who would take my side and coddle me.

I think that would make a great episode!!!! This season needs something a little more unpredictable. So far everyone is where I expected them to be. Maybe something juicy will happen at the christening. :confused3

:dog2: Here is a great picture of Lorelai and her new best friend :paw:

:dog: I don't know why Luke doesn't like him :paw: :flower:

just noticed--- does Paul Anka look like HAPPY from 7th heaven??

Yeah! I'm glad I discovered this thread, me and DP are Gilmore addicts.

I personally think that Logan IS getting bored with Rory and her time out of school. At their lunch he disinterested in her community service stories, dispite telling her he wasn't. I think Logan is cute and all but I also think he is full of a lot of crap. He has been bad news for ever since they met. Logan and his family have single handedly demolish her self confidence.

My prediction is that Logan will become bored enough to break it off with Rory and that will really be her wake up. After losing him she will really be at rock bottom and realize she needs to go back to school. I would be happy to see him go.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but I have heard that Scott Patterson has not signed for the next season. My sources think that this could be a sign that he and Lorelai will split. I sure hope not!

Interesting spoilers. Hmmmm.

I can't imagine Luke leaving the show. He's almost as much a part of it as Lorelai and Rory.

Oh, and I hate Logan! (Had to be said!) :teeth:

Interesting spoiler....

I hope LUKE does not leave--- he is such a great character in the show.

we'll see tonight, still no word on the baby's name huh??
