The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

Like Stinkerbelle, I am not a Jess fan. I am glad he gave Rory a wake up call though.

Just finished watching the show. It was a good one.
I liked Jess. I was hoping him and Rory would hook up the next day, he would talk more sense into her, she would cry, he would console her, they would kiss......

I also thought for sure we would see Rory staying up all night reading the whole book Jess wrote!

Logan was a jerk tonight. Usually I like him alright, but he is turning into a real lush too!

Liked the interaction between Lor and Luke. So cute. They are starting to act more 'coupley"

And WHAT is with guys? I hate the whole "physical possession" thing they do...arm around her, steering her where he wants her, making her ride in his car? I guess since he can't actually pee on her to mark his territory it's the next best thing.

Loved the soccer girls, though.

:rotfl2: I thought the same thing, Mal, when Logan threw his arm around Rory when he was walking her to the car.

The soccer girls were a hoot--I loved Luke insisting on the best for "his girls" and Lorelai calling him Daddy Warbucks.

I'm not a big Jess fan but I'm so glad he made Rory realize what she's become. I actually really liked him in this episode and I'm glad that the writers have him making something of his life instead of continuing as a messenger boy.

It about broke my heart when Lorelai was crying over Paul Anka. I wondered when she'd finally really break down over Rory--I've kind of been in a similar situation myself with dd and watching these scenes of their separation have just been heartwrenching for me.

Anyone know, was the blonde soccer girl the same actress who played Laura Ingalls on the Little House on the Prairie miniseries that was on earlier this year? She looked so familiar.

Darn technology :badpc: --- set the DVR -- If I am home, it works no problem, if I am not-- not episode!!! Anyway, I think I got the important parts from everyones posts. I am glad there is a group of people who will talk about GG and I can catch up on the good stuff. :cheer2: Tell me what happened with Lor and Paul Anka?? :listen:

Thanks again. :wave2:

Paul Anka is feeling a bit under the weather. Lorelai took him to the vet and the vet said to just let it run its course and he'd be fine in a few days. She spent the night sitting up with him and then when Luke got up and asked her what she was doing, she had a mini-meltdown about how could she have let this happen and what a bad mother she was, and it was clear she was talking about Rory even though she said Paul Anka.

I don't even know if Paul Anka really was sick. ??
He kept taking all of Loreleis shoes and lining them up all over the house-funny.
Then he kept laying at the door to Rorys room and whining and whimpering.
She was just ignoring him, and wouldn't open the door.

Then later, showed that she did go in there and Paul layed on the bed and was sleeping while Lorelei slept in the chair watching over him (the sybolism=her watching over her sick dog, who was in her daughters bed) Made me think how she probably spent a few nights there watching over Rory.

Then when Luke came in and asked what was going on, she broke down.

Thanks for the Anka update. now the posts make sense.

So are the girls are gonna get back to "normal" soon ??? and after Rory's bit with Em, will she be moving out of the pool house???

Tonight was the best episode I have seen in a long, long time. :cool1:

The old Rory we know and love is back!

And it sounds like Christopher is too!

WOW this episode was the best in a while! The whole Luke having a kid thing really threw me for a loop. I can't see how it would make Lor not want to marry him though, its not like he had any idea and she is already like 12. Oh I hope Christopher doesn't mess things up, I don't really like him an Lorelai, he's too fickle, she knows she belongs with Luke!

Can I join in?
I'm so glad Rory's back with her mom! Not sure what to think of Luke being a father, or Christopher being back. I hate the cliffhangers we've been left with this season. We have a Gilmore Girls party here in the dorm room every Tuesday night, and at the end of each episode we all groan everytime. I think it keeps getting worse in that respect too.
But I am so glad that Rory's back, and back in school and everything.

I cryed when Rory and Lorelei were hugging. Then I rewound it and cryed again!! So happy! :goodvibes

I did not like the first scene though, when Lorelei was acting all not happy about the house being done. I don't know how Luke can stand it when she acts like that.

I thought it was nice to see Emily break down and cry too, showed that she is a real mother and grandmother with feelings. Was good to see that.

Richard cracks me up totally!

Lanes boyfriend is so annoying!

The whole Lukes kid thing--I would have much rather her come to him in a shy sweet 'are you my dad' kind of a thing. It just didn't seem like a little girl who is just finding out who her father is. It was unrealistic. It was too cold and unfeeling for my taste.
(then again, she is Lukes kid, and he is gruff and cold and a 'facts' not 'feelings' kind of guy. Or at least he has been the last few seasons until him and Lor finally got together, now he is sweet)
I think it adds a neat storyline, just didn't like how it came about.
JMHO though!

the girl totally reminded me of Lorelai - kind of odd - and yet somewhat likeable

Good episode. Must agree about the whole Luke kid thing. I don't see why it would keep Luke from marrying Lorelei. I mean she has Rory.

I was so happy to see them back together at the end.

Anyone think Rory will take the extra room with Paris and Doyle when she goes back to Yale? Or did I miss it and they've already filled it?

I'm ready to see where Emily goes from here and what her relationship with the girls is like.
