2026 Strength Training Accountability Thread

I'm going to count all the snow removal coming up this weekend as cross training AND strength training! I'm at the tip of the white arrow and the forecast is now coming in FEET rather than inches for Sunday night and Monday.

I always count my snow removal as my training for the day. I'm glad MN isn't in the path of all this snow (of course, that's because it's too f-ing cold for significant snowfall) but my mom is in Kentucky, and her forecast has 5-6 inches on Saturday and 13-15 inches on Sunday.
 
Adding myself to this as well as it is one of my main goals this year and I like the accountability. Right now doing the 4x week leg exercises my PT has given me to get over my injuries (2 workouts done twice per week) and started this week adding 3x week lifting to go with it. For now I am doing two simple/basic lifting workouts (A&B) that consist of 5 exercises. First week will do A/B/A and then flip that next week and do B/A/B. I am starting with the simple routine (which takes about 20-25 minutes) to hopefully build consistency. I found when I would do longer routines before (45min-1 hour) I would start dropping them when my runs were getting longer and taking more time.
 
Did my first Fitbod workout in a while today. Today was a Push day - incline bench press, shoulder press, dumbbell fly, skull crusher, bench press, and superman.

I want to do these 3x a week, but with OrangeTheory’s transformation challenge starting this week I’m adding their Strength class to my week. So, I’m struggling with deciding which days would be best.

I’m debating whether to include the picture. Yay or nay?

A few years back I was consistently doing Caroline Girvan workouts on youtube. She has a website and a bunch of different programs/schedules that are all free. She also just has "a la cart" workouts. I enjoyed the workouts and may try to get back to them. All the workouts can be done with just dumbbells and few other small home gym extras (but she also will give alternatives if you don't have them). She doesn't talk at all during the workouts, it's just music playing in the background which I enjoyed. She lifts insanely heavy weights and is a beast, but almost every move she does is basic which is nice for us less than beasts. 🤣
My wife and I have done many Caroline Girvan workouts and enjoy them. We were disappointed when she stopped doing YouTube and created her own app/platform. Hopefully it's going well for her!
 
I'm sitting around waiting for the snow to start, so I edited the first post to list everyone that responded so far, that seemed like they wanted to join in. If you responded to the thread, but didn't necessarily say you wanted to be held accountable, I didn't include you. It was a bit of a judgment call. So if you want on or off the list, let me know.
If someone is on the list and you notice they haven't checked in in a while, tag them! I personally want to be held accountable.
