Laura is suppose to be back the end of October. I saw Luke visit her this August and he touched her shoulder and when he left, Laura put her hand on her own shoulder. I thought maybe she would come out of her comatose by herself. But maybe she is going to finally pass away after the medicine. Like Luke said, it would be better if she did, then he could finally move on, he told her it is killing him that she isn't responsive and can't let him go. I thought what a jerk, she divorced him already and told him to go take a hike. I guess she is coming on to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

If bother's me that the current plan is to bring Laura back for but a short time...the 25th anniversary of the wedding. Only because they way they have written her off was so awful, on so many different levels. The way they changed the history of the show and that of some old time original characters. At this point, I personally, would rather just have them let things be...I may not like the way they wrote her off..but what's done is done. To bring her back ...in this ridiculous manner(via the magic pill)..only for her to return to her catatonic state for one reason or another is like rubbing salt in the wound...as far as I am concerned. I tell you this...if they bring Laura back...to just kill her off...that's it for me...I'm done. I've watched since the days of Luke and Laura being on the run..over 26 years now. Seen MANY changes...but I've stuck with this show. However these last couple of years with all the tried and true characters that built the show being shoved out the door...and sporadic appearances by Luke..I've been hanging on by a string. It basically became the Sonny and Jason show..with some whining by Alexsis and while I've enjoyed the Carly storyline originally..they are just going over old territory again with her now. Been there done that. It's about the teens..and frankly, I'm not interested. It's been Goodbye to Mac, Bobbie, Monica..in any real sense of a story...of course poor Tony. They bring back Scorpio..for what...nothing going on with him. The only two that have some kind of chemistry and I enjoy watching are Luke and Tracy..and as mention..Luke's gone more than he's there. I know I am really complaining quite a bit lately....but I do find myself not missing this show when I don't catch it..and just usually tune in for bits and pieces on Soap Net..because I find I can walk out of the room when most of the dumb repetitive stuff is going on. They are going to say the same thing the next day..and I won't miss a thing. So...bring back Laura and then KILL her off...That will really be it for me..don't think I want to be witness to that. Rather have my memories of what the show used to be.

I really don't think they are going to kill Laura off. There is a strong possibility she will be returning again after this 'visit'.

Of course you can never be too certain with TPTB.

I know what you mean, auntie. I've been a long time watcher too, as in 38 YEARS!! It's been wonderful having old characters return after many years, but IMHO they've been mostly wasted because of dumb plots and rare appearances. I do look forward to Laura's return, but not if they're going to kill her off (although I think Jenn Lynn's right and they won't do that) or have her become catatonic again after only a few episodes. I'd like to see her return strong, capable, and assertive enough to smack Lucky upside the head, get Lulu redirected, and kick Nik's psycho nanny to the curb. Now THAT would be entertaining stuff! :happytv:

I wish I knew at what point TPTB decided to make GH the "Sonny & Friends" show. I liked his storylines much better when he was a secondary character instead of the center of the whole show.

I enjoyed Epiphany's scenes on Thurs. and Fri., when she found out Liz is pregnant and by whom. I'd like to see more scenes with Epiphany, Max, Alfred, and Alice. Hey, where has Alice been lately? :confused3

from your PC to the writers page.

I've been watching since Phil was cheating on Jessie.

I didn't watch when the veterens were on the first time. However, I was looking forward to them coming back to the show because of their connections to the characters currently on GH. I was excited about the 'Lucky and Jason work with Robert' rumor/spoiler. I would like to see some good guy stuff instead of this mob stuff all the time. Sonny and Lorenzo are so not scary. Jason, on the other hand, can be, but he has that soft side that is great.

I also wish there was more Patrick and Robin. Love them, but read they won't get much of a story until the new year.

Isn't it funny that we'd rather see scenes with the background characters than the supposed money makers on the show? :rotfl:

And where has Alice been? :confused3

I'm thinking they'll bring Laura back to get her family straight. I can't wait to see her reaction when she finds out Luke is married to Tracy! That alone shoule be worth a watch! I expect her to be very disappointed and angry at Lucky (who wouldn't) and totally sympathetic towards LuLu.

You know now that you mention it Alice hasn't been on in awile. No wonder the show has sucked lately with the exception of Max. Where is the humor???

There's an interview with Bob Guza in SOD where he says that he's never going to close the door on Genie, and he's hoping that she'll be back again sometime, for whatever length of time they can work out. So they won't kill Laura off. She'll be back starting the week of Oct. 23.

Well, I am certainly glad I'm not the only long time watcher who has felt dissapointed in the direction our show has taken in the last couple of years. I was starting to think I was just being to critical..or getting too old for this all together. I agree with you all...Jen, travelbug...Tracy...I guess us long time viewers remember a different kind of show...I know it sounds like I'm doing alot of complaining..only we really remember how GREAT it was back in the day! When the Luke and Laura wedding was something that you would interupt Thanksgiving dinner to watch! Now that was something...and more dedicated viewers you could not find. Bringing back Laura is a way to bring up some of those old memories..but it bugs me that she is in the canatonic state due to a MAJOR rewrite of history...those of us who watched back then..know full well none of the nonsense that supposedly put her in the nut house actually happened! I do agree that it would be great to see her come back STRONG....and not helpless..and set her family straight. Her family was the most important thing to her she would want them back on the right paths. She should also smack Luke for marrying Tracy for money. Although I feel sorry for Tracy because at heart she really does love Luke..but anyone who watched back 26 years ago knows Lukes heart will always belong to Laura. It's hard to rewrite that ..although I've seen them try with Felicia and Skye...and while he was feelings for them..it's never going to be the same. I believe Tracy will know that..and whether she can deal with it or not..that will be interesting to watch. She can be such a witch..but down deep she cares for Luke. The banter back and forth between them is witty and haliarious...I often wonder how much is written and how much is improvised..as it certainly isn't as well written for the other characters.

I saw an interview with Greg Vaughn. He said he doesn't even bother memorizing scripts he is given when he is in scenes with Tony Geary because he rewrites them.

From what I read about Laura's return she will be all about her family. And, when she leaves, she sets up a big story involving her family with a secret. I hope the secret is not that Sam is her Daughter.

And, supposedly, Tracey gives Luke a divorce.

Me too, with Linda Taylor, Dr. Peter Taylor's wife. Oh my goodness, I can't even believe I remember that, I was in 2nd grade. Ok, I've had my history lesson for the day.

Was it just me, or did the previews make it seem like Lucky shoots Sam? Boy oh boy, is he loosing it or what. I was so glad that Georgie set Maxie straight.

I get that Mac was angry at Lucky, but, blaming Elizabeth...like she had control her hubby was cheating on her. How about the fact that "poor Maxie" was pushing the pills on Lucky when she heard Elizabeth say she would leave if he was still using...

Anybody else think they would have taken Lucky's gun and shield by now?....This must be one small town police dept. Who in their right mind would have an affair with the Commisioners daughter and think they weren't going to loose their job..regardless of circumstances! Those must be some powerful drugs he's taken..cause he is halucinating for sure! :lmao:

Mac did fire him yesterday, but, he still has his gun???? I thought they took that when you got fired.

Ugh. I hate to say it, but I think I agree that they could do that.

Editing to add: if Sam is NOT Alexis's daughter, who is??
I'm going to vote Colleen. We know nothing about her except she has a connection to Helena.

Oooh, wait, what if COLLEEN is Laura's daughter?
Eeeeeeew. That would make her Nikolas's sister. Maybe I shouldn't go there! :rotfl:

My latest annoyance is the whole Sonny/Carly/Jax thing. I really like Laura Wright as "new" Carly and I thought it was a good idea to throw her and Jax together. Now TPTB are just mucking things up again. Unless they do something totally off the wall, like hooking Sonny up with Lainie, Sonny needs to go to that island of his and stay there for a few years. ;) Same old same old.

I read is a spoiler that Carly wants Jax. Sonny is just "going through something". He will later be hooking up with someone else.

Colleen is the sister to some guy who died in the PC hotel fire.

Maybe Alexis baby really did die.

Why is it that suddenly there appears to be doubt that Sam is Alexsis' daughter? I thought that was a done deal. :confused3 How in the world could she possibly be Laura's..that would be some re-write of history...and I'm already sick of the re-writes they've done with her character already.
