I really like it when Tracy and Luke have their heart to hearts. And everything that Tracy said about Luke was right. I like Tracy when she lets her softer side show.

I'm eager to see how this plays out, but I'm so worried they'll do something stupid with her character.

I don't think it is this Friday already. She taped for 2 weeks. She still has to learn about the her kids problems and marry Luke. I think it's the wedding/beginning of the mob war on Friday maybe.

I really hate that they brought Laura back now. It makes me miss her on the show. She really seemed to make GH "home". It's like she has a relationship with everyone on the show. Boo Hoo I am going to miss her, again!

ME TOO!!! She nailed Luke right on the head! WOW!!

I will be so, so sad to see Genie Francis leave... she has been more than amazing... Port Chuck just seemed a warmer, kinder place with Laura in town.

I hate it that they're having Laura slip back into a catatonic state. I'd rather they have her set off in search of her past or something. Her presence on the show does bring a sense of warmth and kindness. I guess we can't have that on GH now can we?

But, she knows Luke did not marry her for love, it was for some money Tracey was holding captive. Or, did I miss something.

I don't know why Luke didn't say when Laura woke up, she thought it was the same day and her and Luke were getting married.

And how convenient for GH to put Laura back in a comatose state-come on. Yes she is a one of a kind actress, but hire someone else if she doesn't want to committ to the show. Look how many Carly's and Nicholas's and Lucky's they have recasted.

I agree with you on the many recasts over the years, but recasting Genie Francis would be like recasting Tony Geary---it just can't be done. Not in my opinion. It would never work. Some actors just have that something special they bring to the character. They're oldtimers. I don't think they could recast any of them, Monica, Bobbie, Alan.....I just don't see it happening. Like Geary once said in an interview about his own character, kill me off....don't recast me. ITA.

I agree! One disastrous recast that comes to mind is Felicia. That was awful!

I agree. I would have rather Felicia just "stayed in Texas" than be brought back as a recast. That was terrible!

I think having Laura back has been wonderful. The magic between she and Tony Geary...you just can't re-create that with anyone else. I HATE the entire story of how she went into the catatonic state...but it is what it is. The very thought that they are going to send her back into it to write her off again...well makes me sick. Maybe I'm missing something, but even if you believe the entire farce of an excuse to put her in a mental institution...here mind shut down because she was unable to handle that she had killed Rick.(sure..sure.). Okay..but now she seems to be handling things just fine...so why is it they will put her back into a catatonic state? The medicine that brought her out doesn't work?...Isn't what put her there to begin with her own mind..not a medication. I'm quite sure there will be a really lame reason for her going back to Shadyville..or whatever the ridiculous name of the place is.
I do hope that maybe someone writes something different for her exit. It almost makes watching this seem dumb..what is the point really. I had hoped they weren't going to bring her back like they did Holly or Robert for the matter, with no real story...just a show of old faces for ratings sakes.

I agree the magic between Luke and Laura is something special. Did anyone see pictues of the "wedding day shoot" They were just wonderful. I cannot wait to see it on Thursday.

I wonder if Helena will have something to do with Laura slipping back into catatonia. She was asking about her at Shady Brook the other day. Could be.....could be.

Anyone remember the original Helena? When she was at the wedding 25 years ago she cursed Luke and Laura. That was Elizabeth Taylor of course!
Perhaps you are right and the current Helena intends to make her re-appearance at the re-newal ceremony. Of course...just how many times are the Cassidnes going to either kidnap, or mind control.. poor Laura? Laura is a grandmother and Helena is still out to cause her trouble! Some things never change!

I'm sure Helena will show up and "curse" them again. I've also heard rumors that a second suprise desk might show.... a possible left field contender for this is Scotty Baldwin. Anyone here anything about that?
