I'd rather Laura and Luke ride off into the sunset together (it would give Geary the opportunity to retire like he's been hinting at) and give us all the happy ending we'd prefer. I sure hope they don't have her slip back into a catatonic state again, that would totally suck. I'd miss Luke/Geary if he does retire, but he's been around a long time. He deserves it.

I hope they write her off as you describe. I have written previously about how some of us long time viewers were pretty annoyed by the way they had her depart..not so much the catatonic state..but that it was brought on by a major re-writing of history of beloved long time characters. If you watched back then..you knew nothing like what they describe ever happened. Changing core characters and their personalities to fit this bizarre exit. As thrilled as I am to see her, to have her leave again under those sort of circumstances would be awful. Seeing Luke and she on screen together again is magic.
Perhaps...another "on the run"...from the law ...as she supposedly has shot her stepfather(dumb)...she and Luke could leave..and certainly he would be able to return from time to time, as he is not the criminal. Although I think GH would be losing it's best character.

I agree! I loves seeing them together, hated the whole way they changed history when she left. If she slips back in to the catatonic state that will ruin the whole Luke and Lura story for me forever

Ok just got caught up on the weeks worth of gh. Busy week. Sat and cried at the Laura awakening. Really cried when Luke said "you've come back to me"

I paused my tivo and read all I could and it didn't tell who it was but by her burning it and the reactions of everyone it has to be Jason's.

Please Sam do us all a favor and don't resign.

What a great idea! Luke and Laura could retire to Beecher's Corners (remember that?) Maybe that's why they're officially leaving her length of stay open-ended, maybe right now they're trying to negotiate things so she'll stay long enough for Tony Geary to leave. And if he was planning to stick around longer, maybe he's got to think about leaving a little earlier for the story line. Oh, I think this is such a perfect idea!

From what I have read they haven't asked her to return although she has said she would like too. They do visit Beechers corner during her time in November. I 'think' I read she slips back into a the catatonic state, but don't quote me on that!

Really though, get rid of the unused characters to free up $$$ to get Genie back. The entire Scorpio family could go live in Texas with Felicia and her Mom! Sam can leave. Lorenzo, he's hot, but what's the point in him? Emily, I don't like her so she can go. LOL!

I won't post any details incase there are some who still have yet to watch. All I can say is in the beginning, when Laura stands up and hugs her kids for the first time in 4 years, I couldn't see the TV through the tears in my eyes!

Is anyone here going to Super Soap Weekend. I can't wait till I can go, not next year but I'm planning on the year after. The first year I'm an empty nester with my two in college, my DH and I are heading down their - he thinks for food and wine and in reality for me to see SUPER SOAP WEEKEND. (Don't tell)

What channel do you get SoapNet on? I used to get it on 68, but all of a sudden I stopped getting it! This was several weeks ago and at that time I really wasn't too upset but now that Genie is back, I WANT MY SOAPNET!!!! Guess I will have to call cable and find out what's going on.

Mrs. Mud, well first off I fell asleep at 9:30 and didn't wake up till 6 am so I missed it. Now I have to wait till Sunday to see it on the marathon. I'm on Time Warner Cable and I really live in Queens (not NY NY) so I get it on 119. Are you cablevision, maybe they don't carry it anymore.

Would it be too much to ask for those of you going to give a small trip report to the rest of us. I for one would LOVE to hear all about it.

I have to LOL do any of you read / lurk at SoapZone.com. I don't pay so I can't post there but I love the Disney Park questions they ask. Most of those soapies know nothing about Disney and it's a hoot with their questions. I almost want to pay to post there just to help the poor soles out sometimes.

I'm on Long Island also..and had to go to cablevision and get a box for my bedroom tv to get soap net on. It only comes in if you have the box now. We have many tv's in the house..but only had boxes for 3...and my bedroom I didn't watch HBO or anything like that up there..but did enjoy going up to bed and watching soap net...and then "poof"..it was gone. Thought something was wrong with my set. Seems soap net is same as a premium channel that you need the box for. At least that's what they told me.

We have 3 boxes and one is in my bedroom. Some nights I fall asleep watching it and Soap Net plays all night long LOL it's really creepy to wake up to the old Port Charles Vampires at 4 am or so

How could they tease us with 2 days of Laura and now 2 days of nothing.
I want to see her walk into GH and see Bobby, Monica, Alan, all of the
old timers. I really can't wait to see her reaction to Tracey. All I know
