I'm a nervous wreck. I am booked through AAA for a later date, but called my agent yesterday. Unfortunately we have already paid and everything and I really can't afford to pay another $200 up front just to book my own. I want the agent to change my dates, resort and ticket options to get us the free DDP. He said he would do it on Thursday and would call and let me know. I asked if he would be coming in earlier and he just laughed and said "No-just my regular hours." which are not until 9 am!!!!! I'll never make it till that phone call. I know I'll break down and call him if I haven't heard anything by noon. I really want CBR so I think they should have a lot of availability (I hope so anyway!!!).

I booked POP with AAA about a month ago and mentioned the Free Dining. The TA if you want to call her a TA said if free dining come around she would just add it. Well this past Monday rolled around and she knew nothing , had to call Disney and ask. And they said I have to rebook and no more POP room are available at this time for the free dining. So we got All Stars Music. But I was thinking is a few weeks when all the smoke clears and all the rooms are switched around I would call back and see if POP would have any rooms available. I think they release blocks of rooms at different times and there may be resort rooms available then that aren't right now.

But with free dining I'm happy at any resort cause most of my time will be spent in a restaurant eating.
Or on the rides.

Ugh, this has been so stressful. We wanted WL for the week of Sept 15 but were unable to get the dining package. Today I called back and while they still have nothing that week, they did have room the week before. So I cancelled our old ressies and made new ones. But I don't know if I'll be able to get that week off from work. We're going with my parents and my dad isn't sure if he can get that week off either. So now I'm worried that by the time we find out if we're approved for vacation, I won't be able to get a room at WL for the 15th. Plus, I keep cancelling and rebooking ADRs. Arrgghhh...

For those who have done the Free Dining before, if you are using the general public code (not Disney Visa) to get free dining tomorrow, do you think we will have to immediately secure the ressie with a $200 or deposit? Or will it be the 10 day rule as usual? I just had some unexpected expenses arise and would prefer to put it off a little bit.

My husband and I did the Free Dining Promotion last year. We booked our ressies online at the end of May. So many rooms were available they not only extended the offer, but ended up coming out with a discount once the Free Dining Promotion was over. I seriously doubt rooms are completely booked. Possibly for the current code, but more rooms will become available as each day progresses. I wouldn't keep cancelling and rebooking over and over. I would keep what you have until you find exactly what you want.

Yes, we had to secure our reservations at the time of booking with a $200 deposit on each room.

Well I just called to change our dates from Sept 29-Oct 7 to Oct 19-27 and the CM said she was very busy. Good luck to all of you hoping to get free dining tomorrow.

Yes, I would imagine they're extremely busy and will be the rest of this week, but once the initial buzz of everyone on the message boards trying to book it'll calm down. There will still be many rooms available.

I would imagine that they will have it back online either at midnight this evening or first thing tomorrow morning.

I would suggest having her check back tomorrow and see if it's available...if not, maybe try back every few days or so...my guess is it's gonna open up sooner or later...

If it makes you feel any better, my AAA TA didn't know anything about it this year or last year until I told her about it! She said that wasn't unusual for Disney not to tell them about it beforehand. Which is odd, but I'm glad I am here on the DIS to tell her!!

I'm hoping for something similar...king bed to open up at CSR when we go!! going to check tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day...

Anyone know if I would need to have it open up no later than the last day to book free dining?? I'm wondering if a king bed becomes available after the free dining offer booking dates, if I would then loose free dining??

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. We are going to disney in October. Unfortunately it won't be on one of the wonderful weeks of disney during that month. We have to go during my daughter's fall break. Anyway, does disney ever run some sort of special or discount during October? I don't expect they would offer free DDP from the 6-13 unless some sort of miracle happens. But do they offer free park hopping or free water parks and more during that time?

Woo-hoo! Well, I called back because I just couldn't live with the stress of not knowing if I could get that week of vacation off. When I told the CM that I wanted to get rid of my package and go back to my room only reservation, he said he'd double check to make sure there were no rooms with free dining at WL during the week I wanted - and lo and behold there were! I'm so happy that I didn't give up. Good luck to the rest of you tomorrow!

Yes - it seems to be the general concensus that there were X number of rooms offered in the Visa free DDP promotion and that there will be an additional X number of rooms available to the general public tomorrow. We just don't know what the magic X number is at each resort/room type.

I'm wishing for two rooms at POFQ - one double, one king - here's to everyone else getting there wishes granted!

I am also hopeing for 2 rooms at the POP. I would even being willing to pay mod prices at to stay at the POP resort, that is the place we like! Keep something crossed for me too!
