The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

I was at work and started calling about 6:55 and went through all the prompts and got through immediately. The CM said I was her first call and she was sure she would get a "couple" of calls today regarding free dining :rotfl2: Sept.14-21, ASMo with park hoppers and free dining of course for $1501 :cool1: And we have ~$300 in Didney rewards dollars, so I think that was a GREAT DEAL! Anyway, Thanks to all who posted and kept the hope alive for those of us that couldn't get 40%. And GOOD LUCK to all who haven't called yet or have to wait until Thursday. :thumbsup2 See you all at THE WORLD in 5 months!!!:jumping1:

mousefever ~ I knew that I would see you on the DIS boards again once our trip was booked!

YAY!!! I got thru in like 5 min this morning and got my family booked..YAY!!! thanks for all your info here - I have been lurking for a few days, and appreciate what all you have passed along!

So theres double rewards for gas!!! Yippee!! thats like my number purchase besides groceries!

Anybody know what the code is going to be on the 12th. Where will it more than likely be posted and when? I think there is one member who said his significant other is a CM in reservationest. Do you know the code?

Don't answer that if you want them to stay your significant other....:lmao:

Otherwise you may be the insignificant other :rotfl:

JK ;)

since you booked with aaa were you able to get the aaa rates along with the free dinning? I booked with aaa as well.....but haven't calculated it yet. We have a family of four... 2 adults and 2 kids (14 and 9)....so our oldest is charged the adult rates. We're staying at POP in the prefered area and got 2 day base tickets. Our total was 968.37. I know before our base tickets were $140.58 per adult and $117.15 for our youngest if that hasn't changed our. Hmmmm just did the figures and it looks like our room is 107.37 per night. Sounds right...with out the AAA prices.

No, we did not get discount through AAA and free dining. That would be great if it was possible, bit it is not.
I know people on hear swear they have gotten both, but it is not possible.

I do have my ressie #, but I still can not check my reservation online on Disney.com...hmmmmmmm I am sure it is fine, but now I am a bit nervous that they don't have it.

Unless you book directly with Disney yourself you wont be able to check it online. I am not sure why that is, but your not alone. Many have tried...and failed! But everything will be alright!

Yay, my husband just agreed to take the kids to school on Thursday morning so I can be on the phone waiting to make ressies :)

Now if I can get 2 connecting rooms at my preferred resort it'll all work out :)

I see that the details of the email from Chase state that tickets are for "One Park Per Day" i.e. no park hopper, water park and more options, etc. Has anyone booked and been able to add ticket upgrades to your package now? Or will we have to upgrade tickets when we get to WDW?
I can't book till Thursday... SIGH... sure hope there's some rooms left... SIGH.

Ww booked with the park hopper no problem;)

I booked mine with the Park hopper option and the CM offered me any option including WP&more. So Chase must have been wrong.

Called last night to book. Got on the phone at 9pm EDT and was on hold for about 20 minutes. The CM I got was absolutely wonderful. I was able to book Pop Century September 12-18 with 7 day park hoppers for $1086.50. He asked me if I knew how to use the dining plan and I told him yes, we had been on it before and his response was "thank God!" and he started laughing telling me he had so many calls from people booking it but not knowing what on earth they were booking so it was really nice for him to be ending his day with someone who knew what was going on. He did stress that ADRs needed to be made ASAP...and said it might be a good idea to make them before this code went public.

I called this morning because the CM I spoke to yesterday hadn't included Magical Express, so I needed to have it added.

When she answered the phone, she kept stammering and messing up the "Year of a Million Dreams" opening at the beginning of the call. We both had a good laugh. She said she'd been talking so much she couldn't speak right anymore. I'll bet they're having quite the interesting week!

I was on hold for maybe 10 minutes, tops.

I am so ridiculously excited about this. $700 for 6 nights lodging, food, and airport transfers. We've never used the Dining Plan because we can't really afford it, and we're not big enough eaters for it to make sense financially anyway.

Now of course I start stressing and worrying about hurricane season, but I really need to calm down . . . it's not like there's anything I can do about that! I've got my reservation and my ADRs, so now I should just chill, right? :cloud9:

Hurricane season doesn't necessarily mean there will be a hurricane, or even unfavorable weather. Last year we went at the middle to end of September and we had perfect Florida sunshine the whole week! Here's hoping for magical weather again for ALL OF US!!! :cool1:

Thanks for your reassuring words. :)

It's funny that I even get stressed. I travel a lot for business, almost always flying out of Boston, and of course I end up on way more delayed/cancelled flights in the winter than the summer!

Yes, here's hoping for wonderful weather for us all. :hippie:

can someone talk to me about hurricane season.. We are going 8/25-9/03 and am slightly worried about hurricane's... Is this a normal time that Hurricanes can/do it Fl? for 2 25year old adults, do i really need to buy the insurence?

I was there in 2004 right during Hurricane Jeanne and we just had to stay in the room for the day but it was nice rest! The next day we went to Epcot and you couldn't tell a big hurricane had been through. I wouldn't worry too much.

Orlando, since it is in the middle of Florida, rarely gets "hit" by a hurricane. If one is hitting the coast you can expect stormy, rainy weather naturally. But I would get the trip insurance JUST IN CASE...better to be safe than sorry!

I agree! The time I don't buy it, a hurricane will hit!!! So, I figure by buying it, there is no way there will be a problem!!!
