The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

As many folks are cancelling their existing reservation and rebooking to get the deal, I'm sure this causes quite a bit of flux in the system, in terms of availabilty.

Fingers crossed for Thurs....hope there is some free DDP availability at CR during our trip....

For us its only a $150 swing, since we can only get AAA rate OR free DDP, as I understand it. So if we do not score this year.....I won't be too sad.

Nevertheless, I would prefer to keep $150---that's two PAL Mickeys!!

hey nottelling- thats the week we are going....how was it looking? are they fulll up??? i cant book til thurs and im sweating here!

The cm I talked to said it would take 24 - 48 hours to show up. I already had an existing reservation that I made last week and mine went through for Pop Century, we are going 9/20 - 9/29. I'm sure they have alot of rooms available. Good Luck to everyone:) :) :) I can't wait now. We weren't going if they didn't have the free dining.

just a thought...the deadline to book is in June...do they really think all of the rooms will fill up in the first week? I remember feeling anxious about booking last year and we booked at the last minute and got in just fine. If Disney wanted it to be a quick and dirty offer, they wouldn't have the deadline to book in June, right?!

Exact same thing happening to me and my DSis's reservations right now. Not showing up online, but we definitely converted our packages. I'm guessing there's some sort of interface timeline...and they should show eventually. I asked this question a few posts back.

I hope everyone is correct!!LOL Our are not showing ol either.... I am panicing !!LMAO POFQ Sept 19-24 wooohooo we were going anyway so this is nice

They said that families of 5 are booking quickly (we are a family of 5) they said that POR will be first to book up (that is where we are staying). She did say they have been crazy today. Also I booked all my meals and thoose are booking up quickly! I had to play w/ times already.

Given what people have said about past years, I seriously doubt all the rooms will fill up the first week.

We might not all get our first choices. From what I'm reading here, I guess there's some chance that I might not be able to get a POP standard room for my preferred dates, but I'll bet there will be a room at some Value, even if I have to take a Preferred room (the extra $ per day wouldn't eliminate our savings from taking Free Dining).

FINALLY got thru - in total it took 2 hours and 10 minutes. BUT got my first choice...POP, preferred, connecting, 2 rooms for us (me, 2 dd's) & my friend & her 2 dd's. Sept 19-25.

Finished all my ADR's too...got everything I wanted...except a later time for LTT on MNSSHP night...but those usually get released later I think.

WHEW I'm so DONE!

Only had to wait for 35 minutes (used 1-800#) and got the BEST CM I've EVER had!! GREAT experience overall!!

I got everything I wanted
POP preferred 9/22-10/2
1 day base tix (will buy annuals when we get there)
$1340.52
YEEEEEE HAAAAWWW

Already had my dining reservations made, just tweaked a few since we added 2 more days :cool1:

Just an FYI to PP, the 2 rooms you booked may or may not even be next door to eachother, that is just a request. I just wanted to make you aware, they do not confirm connecting rooms or even that they are next to eachother. The last 2 trips, we travelled with 2 other families, booked at the same time, added their names on our ressie, everything, and the best we could get of all 3 times was the same bldg (us on top floor, one on ground floor and one way in the back). Just wanted to make you aware that has been our experience!

Congrats to all, I'm already hungry:banana:

Earlier this week after reading some boards, I decided to make our reservation for dining anyway, and I got all of them done except for the Liberty Tavern for the night of the Halloween Party which the woman I talked to said that usually the day the tickets come out they will open up the reservation of the resturaunts in MK

Ahhhhh yessssssssss!!!

Just finished making my reservation, got exactly what I wanted. POP standard, 8/27 -9/2.

I was on hold about 20 minutes. Call took about 25 minutes total.

Thanks, yea that's what I thought too...my CM said that because I booked as one family, ie 2 adults 5 kids, that we would have connecting rooms because they would assume 2 adults in Room 1...heck I dunno if it will work...but I'm up for trying..it would be nice...not necessary but still nice.

Yay I am happy now. They didn't have my original dates 8/31-9/7. Ds 2nd Bday is the 8th so we wanted to get out of the plane tickets. Well I called back and only waited about 25 min this time and I got 9/7-9/15. Hey if I have to pay for a plane ticket I want an extra day out of it. Dh seemed ok with the additional day. I just keep adding a day every time we go.

So...
POP preferred room 9/7-9/15 (Fri through the following Sat)
Now I gotta go figure my dining all over again. :rotfl2:

One thing that was strange when I made my ressie, is that the CM, kept saying "confirmed for Riverside" - but I booked French Quarter!

She did it when she booked my in-laws too! She said she must have had riverside on the brain! I may even call later to make sure it's correct!

She asked where I heard about FD. I just told her "on my discussion board" - she said, "I don't care for those discussion boards at all !!" - :confused3

I didn't ask why though. (Doesn't matter to me, I love the Dis!) :goodvibes

Two hours on hold!!! Here's what I got:

CSR 9/16-9/21 -- me only $888 - 1 day base ticket
CBR 9/21-9/29 -- me, DH, DS, DM $1718 - 1 day base ticket each
Pop 9/21-9/29 -- my DB, DSIL + 3 kids (2 rooms) $2,587 - 9 day base tickets each

Great, great deals!!!

Just FYI, I was questioning the prices of different resorts and it seemed to me they had plenty to choose from - seems like they have a lot of rooms available!

After waiting on hold for TWO HOURS, I finally got in!!!!!!!!!!!

POFQ 9/15-9/23 and FREE DINING!!!!!!!!

They said they only had concierge level rooms at WL. A little disappointed, but hey - cheaper trip means more money for SOUVENIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I immediately booked ADRs at Le Cellier, Ohana, Marrakesh, Narcoosee's, Boma, and Coral Reef!!!!!!!!!

DISNEYMOON, HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody know for sure about the minimum stay requirement? Is it 3 or 5 days?

Just finished mine as well:banana: We are at the Poly Sept. 22~29th!!

My CM was super nice! We had made our reservations a couple of weeks ago and put down our deposit on our check card. All he had to do was apply another $200.00 deposit on from our DV and it was finished! Saved us over $950.00:love: !! He said that luckily Disney decided to do it that way to make it easier instead of refunding and re~booking all the trips.

Best of luck to everyone!

I don't know yet either - I need for 3 nights personally! But, I did see on one of the first "I got it" posts on here that someone booked for 4 nights. Here's wishing and hoping that this is all true AND that there are rooms left for us non-Visa cardholders! :wizard:
