I'm new to this whole free dining thing. What do you have to do? Do you book just the room or do you have to buy tickets as well? Also, if you are a DVC do you still get the offer? Thanks!

You have to buy the room/ticket package for travel between 8/26-9/22 and you can have Free Dining added!

No, if you stay on points, you cannot have free dining. You have to pay the "rack rate" for the room/ticket package.

Before I hung up the first time I was on hold for 50 minutes.......Now i've been on hold for 9.......we'll see how it turns out!

You can not get the offer on your points. So I am holding for 3 nights at tha value to go with our BCV say. I also have to book a one day base hopper since we have season passes but when they come up for renewal I can just upgrade the base ticket to season ticket.

Good luck to those of you still on hold, hopefully you will get through soon. When you get through, you may want to make your ADR's as well. I tried to make one for 1900 Park Fare and it was completely booked the day I wanted!

Call back and ask for an ADR at Grand Floridian Cafe. 1900 PF is being refurbed until early October and the character meals are being held at GFC. Some CMs know about it and automatically check availability in the right place, others don't. I had the same problem when I made ADRs last week.

I'm going nuts waiting to hear from my TA to find out if could get me the free dining or not.

I'm actually thinking of calling up and making another reservation myself and then cancelling one of them as soon as I find out. Do you think I could do that? Or would that be messing things up more?
