From what I saw, it will be released to the general public on 4/12. I didn't see anything about Disney VISA cardmembers. In the past, they typically have 3 days head start on everyone else, so if Disney does release it to cardmembers again this year, it should be 4/9, but this is all speculation.

Well, that pretty much settles it for me. Call me convinced. I'll start planning for 9/22-9/30 and making ADRs. However, I seem to remember it being posted that the free dining dates have been extended in the past from the initial dates offered: A) Is this true or a figment of my overactive imagination? and B) If I were to book the package for the last available week and they later extended the dates, how hard would it be to change everything to a week later?

They extended the dates that you could BOOK the free dining trip, not the actual free dining days in August and September.

For what it is worth, I took that image, it is not fake. I got that error page while I was pricing a trip on Friday, and the September Magic Your Way with free dining was coming up as an option. I couldn't book anything, but after one error, that was the page I got.

I would never fake anything like that. I own MouseBuzz, and a big Disney only travel agency, what would I have to gain from faking something like that? I am just reporting what I saw, you can take it or leave it.

Glad to hear that... I know some people might have made that as a practical joke for April Fools and since I couldn't see it for myself thought it might be faked... Sorry!

Just to let you all know, the premature posting of future discounts has happened twice before, once the dates changed quite a bit, the other time, they stayed identical. I am sure Disney is messing with dates every day, so expect the dates posted to change slightly. I doubt they will decrease the number of days, though they may lengthen the time it is available some.

I do that too. See my post on the last page. I am a Disney Visa cardholder. I thought we had a week of booking before the public last year. It seems that it was only three days advance instead. I, too, was overactive imagining!

See, I don't remember that. However, our trip was in September so I really didn't pay attention to August dates.

Thanks VMKingdom for allowing us access to "see" what you found! The other reported rumor said something about having a 5 day/4 nite package while yours mentioned a 3 nite minimum - which is what the plan has required the past two years. My hubby allows me to get an annual Disney fix, but we only have 3 nites to do so this year - I was freaking out trying to figure out how to tell him we have to go an extra nite (and would that really be so bad..... )

I am looking at a 2006 calendar and April 1 was a Saturday so it seems weird that they would have released it to cardholders then. But I think I remember it being a few days. A friend of mine googled "free dining AND disnay) and found old reference the public offering effective 4/4...Is there an archive for this list??

Actually those were my original dates too....but I moved my vacation in a week...because the rumors had stated that free dining was going to end on 9/22.

Found it! Looks like an email was sent to disney cardholders on 3/31 for bookings beginning on 4/1. So with the three day speculation for Visa cardholders it looks like it might be an email on the 8th for bookings beginning on the 9th, open to the public on the 12th. I know I didn't get the email last year but booked on or about the 5th even though I have a disney visa. I made changes well after that and they even extended it. But with the UK and BB program it will probably be much more limited as many have speculated.

Just got an email that will be of interest to all of you waiting for summer codes. Disney Visa card holders can book a 5 night stay at a Value resort, including 6 day park tickets and the dining plan for $435 per adult, $176 per child 3-9, for stays August 13- Sept.30th.
This will be released to the general public April 4th.
Sounds like a great deal to me. As a Florida resident I can't help but think of it as,"the hurricane special."
