The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

Is Sanford airport far from Disney? I guess they don't do ME? My husband loved that part of the deal....it was nice. Also how far is Allentown Airport from Ontario border? LOL:confused3

Call it a hunch, but I think we'll find something out either tomorrow or Monday. It seems weird that they would announce something in the middle of the week.

I'm leaning towards Monday because if they announce it Monday, Disney Visa people would have T-TH to book (3 days, which is usually what they give them) and everyone else could book starting on Friday (4/12)

Are you saying that Visa customers get a head start for booking for free dining? Also can I book online?? I'd rather just do that than be on hold. Can I do that??

Last year Disney Visa holder got to book begining on Sat 4-1-06. So I think Sat 4/7 and 4/12 for the general public..:surfweb:

Yes, most likely Disney Visa card holders will get the deal before everyone else..at least that's how it worked in the past.

As for booking online, I've heard mixed things about that. Some people said they did it that way in the past, and some said no.

P.S. I edited my previous post because 4/12 is actually on Thursday..I can't add! HA!

It's not far but disney will not pick up there.

Allentown,Pa is 100 miles north of Philedelphia, someone had mentioned the Phil. airport. Allegiant Airlines. I'll attach the web site there are other airports around the country that Allegiant flys out of. It is none stop Allentown to Orlando 2 hr flight.
You are right Disney does not have pick you up there but its about 48 mi in a rental which we usually get. Easier to get around to some places with a car then the disney bus in some cases. Especially if you are going to a restaurant in a different resort then which you are staying.

Well here is my Disney sickness story of the day: I switched shifts with someone for next Thursday so I can be home and on the phone with Disney people all morning if necessary :cool1:

They are the dates I am planning for also! 8/26-9/2
Where are you planning on staying?
Thanks for the A-town airport link!
I looked into how much it would cost to drive down today, looks like it
it would be about 400.00 roundtrip driving. We have never done that before, I like to fly and get there quick!

Just made my all of my ADRs for 8/26-9/02.
Bring on free dining!!

Now wouldn't that be normal?:rolleyes1

You have been official diagnosed with DISNEY FEVER!

If you think that's bad, I told my DH "I'm glad your endoscopy is scheduled for the 13th and not the 12th" and he said "Why?" and I said "Oh, nothing...." :rotfl:

I shouldn't worry because my TA claims he's going to try to get it for me, but if I don't hear from him with good news, I'm going to try and book it myself!

Now I have a question. I'm using the Disney Visa to pay for my trip, but I'm using a TA. I used the Disney Visa to pay for the deposit. If Disney Visa holders get an early start, will my TA be able to get me the free dining before it's announced to the general public?

Do you guys think free dining will go into the middle of October? I'm looking for the 11-17th.

No. By that point value season is over and free dining has never been offered outside of value season. Right now, the unofficial word is that free dining will end on September 22nd.
