***The Official February 2016 Thread!***

I wanted to stay at POR again this trip, but since I've been to both POR and POFQ, I thought I'd switch it up a bit. I've never actually even stepped foot into the WL, so I'm pretty excited about it. I'll try having my TA call about a discount. I read earlier today that they are offering WL guests a $100 discount per night... so I'll definitely look into that.

And as of right now I've got my dining cut to this:

Ohana,Tutto Italia, Tusker House, Yak & Yeti,Jiko, Beaches & Cream, Yachtsman, BOG, CA Grill, Chefs de France, Narcoossee's, Akershus, Biergarten and Via Napoli. It'll be my first time eating there as well! What else are you planning?

Wow we have a lot of the same places that we are eating at lol I am eating at BOG (breakfast), Ca Grill, Yachtsman, Yak and Yeti, Biergarten ( ohh I love it there) as well...btw great atmosphere for a solo like me lol, Via Napoli, I am also eating at Trail's End, Boatwrights, sci-fi dine in, kona café, Sanaa too and spice road table and maybe eating at narcoossee's too not sure thou.

Wilderness Lodge is beautiful. You will love it. Great place to relax and love those chairs by the fire place. So relaxing. Great pools as well. Like I said, only a boat ride away from mk. Are you doing any tours? I am planning on doing two this coming trip.

Hi everyone! I'm joining in as well. I have a split stay: Pop with a friend for 2/17-2/21 (I'm doing the princess half- eek!), then off site in a condo with the family (DH, DS10, DS7, DD4, MIL, FIL) 2/21-2/29 Woke up at 3:50 for ADRs this morning (I live in the mountain west) and got:
BOG lunch
Akershus dinner
BOG dinner
1900 Park Fare dinner
CP lunch
BOG dinner

BOG and CP breakfasts were already out, so I'm hoping to score some later on and switch a couple of those lunches for pre-rope drop breakfasts! I still need to get Fantasmic dining (when will that open up??), Via Naopoli dinner, and Ohana breakfast. Since those are for days that are beyond my first 10, I think I have to wait until each day is at 180 to reserve those . . . .anyone know this for sure?

So excited to continue planning with y'all this fall and winter! :cool1:

There's some buzzing around that Fantasmic may not be on the schedule in February. Nobody seems to know anything definite though.

Doing our 180-day dance tomorrow!!! Looking to lock down CM (dinner), Ohana (breakfast), Citrico's, Biergarten, HDDMR, Hollywood & Vine, Paradiso 37, Portobello. QS meals will include BOG, Pecos Bill, Starring Rolls, Sunshine Seasons, La Cantina, Yak & Yeti, Casey's Corner, Columbia Harbour House, Wolfgang Puck's.

Can someone tell me what the usual February discount is? We went in Feb. 2014, and I believe it was Play, Stay, and Dine discount that we used? Believe it or not, I am still waffling between on-site or off and of course a nice discount will make me feel better about staying on-site!

Our family along with two others are booked 2/6-2/10. Staying at Cabana Bay. Doing 2 days at Universal and 1 at Disney  (MK) All the others are fans of US because of the bigger rides, our kids range between 15-20. But I refused to go to Orlando and not at least get one day to see the castle! Our last time to visit Disney was 2009! So super excited to get at least one day in and that I got the rest of the group to decide to go ahead and come too! Here is to converting them pixiedust:

We're heading back to the world (and universal) february 16-24. Finished booking last of our ADRS a couple days ago :D

Will be at Disney Feb 12- Feb 22!

Celebrating my daughters birthday and I will be doing the Princess Half. Staying at Contemporary for her birthday, but not sure if we will stay there all week or move to art of animation at some point. Have one day planned at Universal, for Harry Potter. Looking forward to trying a few new places this time - Via Napoli for dinner and Ohana for breakfast.

Oh man, first post. Wife, 5 1/2 year old son and I will be heading to our first family disney trip (and our first trip since we were young teens almost 20 years ago) February 10-13. Happily coincides with our first year wedding anniversary.

Staying at Caribbean Beach and planning on doing...Magic Kingdom our first day there, a day off, then Animal Kingdom. The planning is driving me slowly insane with having to book things so early and worrying that we'll miss some integral part of the trip, just want the little guys first time to be great!

Scheduled a Be Our Guest early 8am breakfast for our magic kingdom day, and tusker house? i think for animal kingdom day lunch. Yikes. Time is flying.

I just booked a whirlwind surprise trip for just my son and I for Feb 21-27. This will be our shortest Disney trip ever but I will take what I can get since we had originally said we weren't doing Disney at all next year and had already booked a different family vacation for July 2016. So, we are leaving my husband at home with the dogs and it will be my 12 year old son and I at BLT.

So excited to book flights today for a Feb. 9-16 trip!! My son's band is going for a workshop and performance, so of course, mom has to tag along! My DH is not a huge Disney fan, so my sister and DD12 are going with me and we plan on staying in either AOA Little Mermaid or maybe POFQ if we can snag a discount of some sort. We're waiting to book when the special offers come out so we're being flexible. Trying to go economically because we were there December 2014 for 9 days. I never imagined I would get to go back this soon. Yay for HS band!!!

Fun! I hope my kids know that once they are in high school, I expect them to sign up for whatever activity will give me an excuse to go to WDW! :D

Last year stay, play, dine came out on Oct 6th for Disney Visa holders. The discount is often misunderstood but last year a couple of us cracked the code so to speak.

The discount was 55% off Dining plan, NO discount on tickets, And a small room discount which varied by resort category, dates, etc. Here is more detail on that: http://www.disboards.com/threads/stay-play-dine-calculation.3339097/

Also there was room only discount released at the same time that varied from 15-30%. For Values and Moderates the discount % amount was 5% lower for weekend nights than weekdays. Values were 20%/15% & Moderates were 20%/25% if I remember correctly although there were some exceptions to that.

Cap'n I thought you were staying at beach club.... Did you change your mind for POR?
Hi All!Just thought I would say hello. I booked my trip about a week ago. I will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside from the 1st to the 12th. I am doing my second straight solo/birthday trip in a row! So excited. Last February I was blessed with great weather and so hoping got a repeat performance.

Ok so last year this is how last February's hours went included with EMH mornings and evenings:

All parks open by 9 am unless they had EMH mornings

Animal Kingdom closes at 5 pm. They have EMH mornings on Sundays and Wednesdays where it opens at 8 am.

DHS closes by 7 pm but it has an EMH evening on Monday, where it stays open till 9 pm. They also have EMH mornings on Saturday where they open at 8 am.

Epcot closes at 9 pm. On Friday they have EMH evenings where Epcot will stay open till 11 pm. On Tuesday they have EMH mornings where it opens at 8 am.

MK has hours all over the place. On Saturday during there EMH evenings they were suppose to close at midnight but instead those hours were changed to 2 am about a month or so before my trip. There EMH mornings are on Thursday where they open at 8 am. Normally they close at 9 pm but on Tuesday thru Thursday they closed at 8 pm and on Sunday, they actually changed there hours and stayed open till 10 pm that night.

Hopefully this helps a little.

We will be there the same time!

Hubs just booked our next trip for Feb 27-March 5! We are staying at AKL with a Savannah view for one night and then the rest of our stay we will be at POFQ. We are both extremely excited since this will be our longest stay on property!

We are keeping our fingers crossed that Disney announces another 24 hour event to celebrate the leap day next year!
