*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

Taco, I'm so glad you are sort of feeling better! I hope your sinuses will ease up on you. Maybe doing a sinus rinse like the neti pot would help clear things out to relieve the pressure.

9 days until we leave for WDW!!!! We will be driving and have decided to leave a day earlier and take our time driving. I got the suitcase out, but the only things in it our Annual Passes:laughing: so far... I will pack this weekend. I did go shopping for snacks, drinks, and misc. items for the trip:yay:

I am so ready for this trip!!:cool1::worship::love::cloud9::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2::flower3:

Ack! We are leaving tomorrow night! I think I feel less pressure to get things done since we're driving and there are less deadlines...

I'm not packed - though all our stuff is kinda out and ready. Gotta get it all in suitcases/bags and then load the van Wednesday evening.

I'm thinking about buying my DD some type of rain gear (she's recently out-grown hers) after checking the weather for Saturday (2/11/12) but I reeeeaaallly don't want to take the time to go to a store on my last day home, when there are so many other things I should be doing! :headache:

We're also dealing with 2 of the 3 kids being sick; one belly sick, one sore throat.:sick:

The stress!! Double Ack!

We leave one week from Today! :woohoo:

Since it was about 22 degrees this morning when driving into work, I am definitely ready now . . . :yay:

I'm in the Teens!!!

19 days til check in!

One week to go!:banana::banana: My DH and I woke up with sore throats and sniffles yesterday. The kids school closed today because of a flu outbreak. We've had our shots but hope this cold comes and goes before the trip and that nobody else going with us gets it.

11 days!!! :cool1:

Snack shopping for the car ride this weekend. Also hope to at least gather all the clothes this weekend. I can always wash :laundy: if someone needs something they plan to wear on the trip. I just want to make sure everyone actually has clothes to wear. (and since I am traveling with a teen boy and a husband, I have a feeling I am not the only one who has experienced this)

The weather situation is really kind of funny. I check it several times a day, and it's different every time. It's 24 degrees here right now, so I'm thinking that even 65 will feel nice. :goodvibes

Kids are still sick, but getting a little better. We leave tomorrow night, but our first park day isn't until Sunday, so there's still time!
(Mental Note for next trip: Quarantine everyone for 2 weeks before the trip. :rotfl: )

I started the Maximum Strength Mucinex today... I have 3 more days to get rid of the crud.... I'm thinking about heading home from work, maybe around noon, to go home and sleep... I hate to use a sick time so early in the year, but I don't get sick very often...

I think the worst part is just not being able to get ANY of the last minute stuff done,, I had several things to take care of still, and well..... now, there just not gonna happen, oh well.... Vacation in 3 days!

I love Mucinex! That is the only cold medicine we take anymore. All the other stuff doesn't seem to do anything but the pseudoephedrine and guaifenesin really breaks things up and relieves the congestion. You really need to hydrate while taking it though. It will dry you out. Triple the amount of water you normally drink while on it. With Mucinex D, lots of fluid and rest you should feel better soon.;)

I am so excited - I just booked a last minute trip to Saratoga for Feb 26th - March 1st!! The best part is we are leaving the kids with relatives!!! :cool1:

I love taking my kids to Disney - but I love going just with the Hubby sometimes!! It is a different type of Disney Vacation! Just face it I LOVE DISNEY!!!:lovestruc Off to make ADR's - wish me luck!

Well, here we come! I can't believe I've been planning this for a whole year and now it's here.

We've got touring plans, ADRs, tour reservations, and a pretty comprehensive list of everything we want to see and do in each park.

Just have to pack, and then, weather and airplanes willing, we're ready!

Oh yeah, Mucinex is definitely the best medicine you can take for clearing out all of the gunk! If you have paid sick leave, take it -- that is what it's for!!! If you can get even a few extra hours of rest it could help significantly. I know you will be feeling better by the 11th...although you may need to go at a slightly slower pace, but not much. ;)

Aaaaaah! 3 days for me! Hubby and I did a trial of packing last night...everything fits! I was planning on checking one giant suitcase plus bringing our carry on suitcases, but I wanted to try and avoid paying $50 RT for a bag...so our carry ons are crammed! My husband is taking a backpack for his "personal item" and instead of bringing my purse I'm using a small carry bag thing for mine. I won't need a purse anyway...just need my ID, credit card, a small amount of cash, and my phone.

I'm planning to bring flip flops (I got some great non blistering Roxy ones at Boutiki in th Poly last year) but also sneakers just in case. I am typically a strictly sandal person because sneakers are way too hot for me in the parks, but because there is a chance of rain I'm going to pack them and hope I don't need them.

Just checked weather.com after I went out to buy warmer clothes and now the forecast is back in the 70s. I just have to laugh at this point.

I love flip flops! But unfortunately after using days too many days straight my feet start to hate me. However what I think I'll do is take some in my bag and if my sneakers get too hot or anything I'll just switch! And yes with Florida weather you can really only count on it the day of haha!

:woohoo::cheer2:Check Out My Countdown!! SO CLOSE!!!:cheer2::woohoo::banana:

Running Around Like CRAZY getting the last minute things done!!:yay:

Chiming in with all the February-peeps, 17 days left for us! So excited, I can hardly wait! I'm so looking forward to sunshine and warmth and all that non-stop family time! Hooray!:cool1:

And SAFE TRAVELS to everyone who leaves this month...

I'm in the crazy phase of our trip planning, packed up the suitcases with clothes for rain/shine/hot/cold/medium/slightly warm....ha.:lmao:

Just one more hour of work today and 8 tomorrow then we are ON OUR WAY!:dance3:

Totally not excited or anything....:woohoo:

I'll be at Saratoga during that time too (in the Treehouse Villas)! VERY much looking forward to it.

Hard to believe my countdown started at 200 days and now it's practically here...
