*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

...and you know what that means!!!

Completed online check-in this morning

I already made a pact with DH that he can't talk about Disney until next Wednesday night (eve of our trip). Yesterday he tried discussing the DME video that plays on the bus and it got me too excited to sleep last night so...no more WDW talk! lol

Who here is going during President's week. I am and I just rechecked to park hours and the Touring plans .com calendar and I am nervous to say the least. Any tips for going during such a busy time? I have been to WDW many times but never during such a busy time of year.

I had made early ADRs to get me into the middle of AK and MK and now I see the parks are opening around 8:00 anyway. So if a park opens at 8:00...what time would you arrive?

Any ideas and tips on how to survive are greatly appreciated! Thanks all!:goodvibes

I seriously want to cry at the weather forecast also. It looks like the dropped the temps also for Sat. and Sun again!

:sad2:

Finally in the single digits!! :goodvibes

Please don't flame me for saying this.....but I'm actually glad that the weather is rainy for the next week or so, that means it will be nice and sunny and warm when we'll be there. I know that's a little selfish on my part, but hey, just being honest. :rolleyes1

I was just thinking the same thing. :guilty:

But I'm sure it will be warmer than NJ and I can spend time with my family and no work! :goodvibes

I'll take rainy Disney day over a beautiful work day any time. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry, that’s my fault...
I LOVE 60 degree temperatures... I wouldn't mind a few 70's thought, and maybe even one 80...
but the 60's are groovy :hippie: with me!

Hoodies & capris... Oh Yeah! :cloud9:

I agree with this completely! I had ice covering my car when I left for work this morning, so upper 60s is fine with me! It will be in the 40s here while I'm gone, so those temperatures will be great in comparison! :lovestruc

And they've changed the weather again! You really can't count on it!

I didn't realize that rain this week meant that there will be warmth and sun the next week. Interesting to know! Not sure if that can be proven.

And I agree. Being at Disney is far better than being at work!!!!

The best advice I can give you is, hit the parks early, rope drop early when applicable and hit the major attractions FIRST. Grab a fast pass for one, then go stand in line for the other... ALSO, good rule of thumb during slower times is if the wait time is less than 20 minutes, then get in line. So maybe during a busier times I’d say if the wait is 30 minutes or less, get in line? If parades aren’t important to you, hit popular rides at parade time, and use the fast pass system wisely.

Hello - I'm new to the boards and excited to say that we will be at Disney World from Feb 23 - 28! Staying at All Star Music. Both DH and my first trip as adults/as a couple, and DD's first trip ever. We can't wait! I hope everyone enjoys their Feb 2012 trips. :)

Getting closer...it is so exciting to read your posts, those who are leaving this week-gives me chills! Don't worry about the weather...my father told me his best day there was when it rained - everyone left or ran for cover and cleared the way for him to enjoy the park without it feeling so crowded - hey, he was at Disney and not even a little rain was going to ruin his vacation! Always look for the good, even when things seem bad. ENJOY!!!

4 days to go for us and a little advice for those of you who are (like myself) looking at the weather forecast.

Keep Calm and Bring Ponchos:goodvibes

In all seriousness, Florida weather is all sorts of wacky this time of year, unless we get a huge rain event (which it doesn't really look like so far) the "rain" will be on and off and not a huge pain to deal with. (Also pack an umbrella, the poncho will only get half the water off you, the umbrella is key!:thumbsup2) The temperatures will probably jump all over the place on the forecast, but anything is better than the 40 degrees it will be here at home!

My DH and I were laughing this morning that the weather is warm all the way up to our departure day (Friday) then warm after we come home! (Monday).

I'm just packing for both extremes and hoping to land somewhere in the middle.:cutie:

We have been going during presidents week for as long as I can remember. Use a touring plan it will save you so much time!!!! Can't stress that enough. Make a list of the things you really want to see. Get to the parks early.

I got my Mickey Mail today from my travel agent and received my shirts so I can tie dye them this week. It's been a magicial day!!:wizard: I can't wait!!

I have exactly 20 days left until my vacation and I am beyond excited! We Weill be there feb 26 - march 1. We're staying at the all star movies this time ad I have never stayed there before. We stayed at pop last time. I wish we could afford one of the nicer resorts but we are thrilled to stay at the all star anyway! One of my friends who is 21 will be joining my sister, brother, and I on our trip this time and she has never been to WDW before! So that will make the trip that much more fun. I used to live in Orlando and I know weather is unpredictable. Last year we went around the same time and it was 70s and upper 60s and it rained most of the morning one day. But it was still great! For people worried about weather just be prepared for it (whether cold or wet) an you'll still enjoy it as much as ever!

Wow! You gals weren't kidding when you said the forecasted temps have cooled down! Anything in the mid-60s would be comfortable for me. Here in Spokane, WA the "high" temp is 40 degrees right now!...and this is a hot spell! Usually we would have snow.

I personally LOVE rain, but I would rather it not rain more than one day on my trip. ;) As long as we don't get all day rain on the 11th (AK day, so much is outside) or on the 13th (Universal day so we have to brave the weather no matter what) I'm golden! LOL!

I am definitely bringing my waterproof rain jacket along with cheap Dollar Tree ponchos (ponchos for wet rides!). The jacket won't keep me warm so I'll have to wear a sweater under it if it's chilly out but it will keep me dry at least!

Leavin on Monday for the week but now the forecast is showing thunderstorms for tuesday and wednesday....lets hope they are wrong...but its getting closer for them to be wrong....

Received our ME tags today in the mail! I'm ready to start packing what I can this weekend. Wow, it's getting so close and I just can't wait!! :)

I can't seem to get a Wishes Dessert Party ressie for Leap Day...but I was finally able to snag a California Grill ADR on that date. It's for 7:25pm so we would be able to see the fireworks from there. I'd rather be in the park but, this could work out since we were planning on going back for a nap to keep going all night long!
