*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

Had to change our Ohana dinner ADR from our arrival day on Feb 23rd to Feb 29. Apparently Presidents day being that Monday made the prices go up $4. On the upside 15 days to go!!!!1

Welp, I guess I'll have to suck it up and go to the mall today and get new vacation clothes. I was hoping to just reuse my summer clothes from last year but I guess the shorts and tank tops won't cut it anymore, and I dont have capris or anything from last year. I'm so glad I spent a fortune on three strapless Lilly Pulitzer dresses for our signature dining ADRs that I won't be able to wear now. I'm fuming. How could a forecast change so drastically within a day?? No idea what to wear to California Grill or Narcoosees now.

DBF thinks I should bring shorts and tanks too, just in case the humidity makes it feel warmer than it is. I so don't need this stress four days before we leave!! I just wanted to get away to some warm weather. I feel like we just flushed three grand down the toilet :'-(

Where is everyone getting the weather forecast from? I am looking on weather.com for the weather in Kissimmee and it only shows rain for 2 or 3 days and they are spread out. The other days show sun or partly sunny. Am I missing something?:confused3

I was wondering the same thing. I mainly use weather.com but just checked Accuweather and the national weather service and they are all saying basically the same thing. Looks like CHANCE (40% or so) of rain on Saturday, and only 1 other day of possible rain but only around 20% right now.

I will be out in the rain playing in Disney World while everyone else stays in their room and pouts I guess! :rotfl: I seriously doubt it will rain all day long even if rain is forecasted.

BREATH GIRL, BREATH..... MSN has upped the temperatures now to low 70's starting the 11th... it'll be ok, I promise! and if its a little chilly, what’s wrong with a button up sweater over the dress? :confused3

I for one, think the forecast is PERFECT, and after the heat we had on our last trip in October, I'm looking forward to not being drenched in sweat everyday! :woohoo:

FOUR MORE DAYS YA'LL :cool1:

I get the weather updates on my iPhone (the app the comes with the phone, not sure who their source is), but today the weather is starting to look a little better....I am going to end up packing a the LAST minute! Although I did buy 2 pairs of jean shorts on the sale rack last night for $9.75 each, yea me!! Now I just hope to get some use out of them!

I would still wear shorts in high 60s low 70s. But then again I don't get cold that easily and I know the humidity in Florida and all the walking will help make it warmer. What my big worry ha always been is what shoes to wear. Last war I thought I had the perfect walking sandals and they ended up being the sandals from hell. They hurt my feet so bad in one day that I felt the pain for four days. Anyway I bought some sketchers that have been super comfy so far. Just afraid they will make my feet too hot since they are sneakers. Anyone have any opinions suggestions?

Oh, I forgot to update with my last minute ADR change. I cancelled The Plaza on the 14th...and booked Yak and Yeti on the 11th at 5:30pm. Yum yum!

It was a rough weekend, both kids had Round 2 of the stomach bug and they both have bad colds. Hoping they are feeling better by the end of the week!!! The girls' suitcase is packed and in the car already. I am packed and hubby refuses to pack until tomorrow. It's driving me crazy!! I just want to go already!!! The 2 days in the car is going to be torture.

We had this this past weekend, nasty NASTY bug! Everyone is over it now but I'm scared it will revisit us again! :headache: Hope everyone is feeling better!

I'm planning to bring flip flops (I got some great non blistering Roxy ones at Boutiki in th Poly last year) but also sneakers just in case. I am typically a strictly sandal person because sneakers are way too hot for me in the parks, but because there is a chance of rain I'm going to pack them and hope I don't need them.

Just checked weather.com after I went out to buy warmer clothes and now the forecast is back in the 70s. I just have to laugh at this point.

Joining very late but I'm here! Hubby and I decided last minute to be at WDW for the Leap day celebration. Kid free!!! I love my babies but it will be great to not have to lug around 2 kids under 4, their bags and a 30 lb. double stroller. We'll be back in September with them so I don't feel too guilty. :goodvibes We'll be staying at the POP for 1 night 2/29 since we are only 2.5 hours away. We're excited to be trying The Hollywood Brown Derby for the first time and seeing Fantasmic. It's been 11 years since I've seen it. Hope everyone has a safe and magical trip!

:dance3: 3 weeks happy dance!!! :dance3:

I love my Teva Mush. I wore them last time we went to Disney World and 2 years ago at Disneyland.

I bought some Nike flip flops for dd and myself. We wore them around the house over the weekend to break them in. DD loved hers but I noticed some rubbing from the strap on the top of my foot. If I noticed that from just walking around my house then I have a feeling it will really give me problems around Disney. :sad2: So I just ordered some new Teva Mush flip flops. I do love them but you have to get new ones after about a year because they wear down and flatten out a bit. I also plan on bringing my croc flip flops and Nike tennis shoes for other options if needed. I just ordered dd some new crocs as well and we're going to the Nike outlet store this Saturday to get ds some new tennis shoes. He needed them regardless of our Disney trip in 2 1/2 weeks.

Did I just say "2 1/2 weeks"? Woo hoo!!!!

Just came over to get some magic and away from the FP hoopla going on in the regular board. Let's see...2 weeks from today we will be flying home. Wait, that isn't magical! lol... A week from tomorrow I will be checking in for our flight :goodvibes...there, that is better!

I've stopped looking at our forecast because it is getting worse and worse and will be changing 10-times over. I'll pack this weekend and just bring a little of everything like I normally do. I do need to find our ponchos though…not sure where they are hiding. Oh, and DH ordered a new lens for the camera and has been testing it out. I know everyone says this, but we REALLY need this vacation. I can't wait to get away....

DBF got a pair of Adidas sandals at our local DSW. Not the ones with the "massaging" things, but that style with a regular mushy sole. Still, he will probably only wear them around the pool because he insists on wearing sneakers regardless of the heat. If any of you are staying at WL Feb 11-16, I apologize in advance for the horrid stench you will suffer when DBF takes his sneakers off post park :scared1:

My favorite flip flops are the Maine Isle ones from LL Bean. They are SOOOO comfortable!!! A little pricey (if you think 20-25 for flip flops are pricey) but so worth it! Free shipping too.

The weather is really comical at this point, isn't it? It changes hourly. I've given up and it is what it is.

Taco, hope you get some rest! And to anyone else sick, hope you heal quickly!

I'm so close! :cheer2:
