1. When do you guys book your resort or have you already

2. Do you book a pkg or do it seperately

Here is a little background
Family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids 9DD, 4DS, 2DS)
Wanting to stay at POR don't know what building
8 day tickets
Disney Dining Plan - want to do alot of Character Meals

We will book flight seperately as we are flying Seattle to Orlando and the amtrak to Ft Lauderdale for cruise and the Ft Laurderdale to Seattle

1) I think Disney is only taking reservations through 12/31/11. Not sure when exactly we can book our resort. I'm thinking maybe around June. Does anyone know this answer?

2) I'm planning on booking a package. At least the dining package with the resort. DH gets a discount on park tickets through work.

Has anyone used a travel agent instead of booking directly through Disney? If so, did you notice a big savings? Was it worth it?

At this time one year from now I will be in WDW...maybe heading back to my resort after watching IllumiNations!

Wherever I am, I will most definitely be living it up in the world!

I'll be going to WDW for the first time from February the 26th to March the
8th and I want to stay at POFQ.

I am hoping to go February 25-March 3 2012. We will have to see how things work out.. Already have my Disney savings account going! We will stay at POP if we are able to go. My kids really enjoy the resort and we never hang out in our room enough to justify staying elsewhere...

I've got kind of an update. Found out that Amazon.com is going to be hiring close to 1,000 people in my area in the summer, right before they open a new distribution center. I am going to apply because I can't stand my current job and I need insurance. If I get the job I won't be able to go to Disney World in February probably. So, by the Fall I will find out whether I have a new job or get to go to Disney World.LOL

weve cancelled our Nov 2011 plans due to ..well $$$ problems...but i'm not giving up.....im planning for Feb 2012...seems very far away
sorry still mourning our nov plans...but i will get excied ...i promise..we fell in love with Windsor hills..so don't have any dates yet,,,but somone said stay away from pres. day???

I'm putting out the feelers for a February 25-March 4 trip. Would love to go back to WL for the week, we'll have to see what happens between now and then!

Planning on Presidents Day Week 2012. My parents will be in Florida for January and February in their camper. They asked if my daughter and I would like to come down and visit over February Break. I of course said yes. Sooo, they made ressies for Fort Wilderness. It will be nostalgic since I haven't been to the Fort since I was a kid other than going to Hoop Di Do. I just hope it won't be ridiculously crowded. We plan to avoid the Parks on the weekend and do stuff around Fort Wilderness until Tuesday.

I'm going for President's week too, arriving the Thursday before.
We've been that week several times, and we don't find the actual weekend to be unmanageable in parks. You just have to be willing to get there early, and have a plan of attack.
