you guys are really helping me make a decision here! We can only choose between April or Feb school vacations, and because this year our April vaca falls around Easter I'm really considering the colder weather of Feb. Any more good things about Feb that I should know?? Thanks!

we are me 38, DH 39, DS 12, DS 10 planning on staying at POP with basic dining plan, 6 day base tix, 1 day to venture over to see Harry Potter. Thinking of Feb 17-25th

I would def. choose Feb over April. The weather is still going to be waaaay warmer than what it will be where we are from so it will feel warm to us Plus, Feb is closer than April...that would be an additional 2 months you wouldn't have to wait to visit DW

Hi all!

I am so glad to see that so many people are joining the Feb. 2011 planning thread! Well, it looks like due to my school schedule we won't be able to go in February anymore. We have switched our dates to May 2011 instead, which of course is our usual Disney travel month . I will definitely keep this thread updated with who is going when (i'm not going to abandon it) - if someone who is going in February would like to keep the list updated than they can otherwise I would be more than happy to do that! .

About the name Lily...when I first named my daughter "Lillian" almost 9 years ago the name was basically extinct. I like unique, classic, old fashioned names. What is annoying to me is that now you hear that name (Lily) everywhere for the 3 year old and under crowd !!

I'd be happy to tell you what your crowd levels would be like in April if you want to compare the two. The dates that you are thinking of in February are SUPER crowded! At least one of the days is a "10" crowd level. I might use that to decide which month would be better. Of course, we'd LOVE to have you on our February thread!

LilandVisma, same thing happened to me with the name "Jack". I loved Jackson and wanted to name my son that, well before he was even a glimmer in my eye. He is 6 and now there are bajillions of Jacks EVERYWHERE!!! So annoying!!!

Does anyone care if I post my trip plan here? It's rather long, but I would love some of you seasoned Disneyer's to critique it and give me some advice, where needed. But, I don't want to take up space if you think it's more appropriate for another spot.

Wow, you have what looks like a great schedule to me!

What Im going to try and do for our day at AK since they close early in feb (as opposed to whenever else we've gone) I'm hoping to snag a late breakfast at Tusker House and then have about a 6:30 dinner either at Kona or Boma...Tusker House was lots of fun and good food when we went last year

Have you tried the Tangerine Cafe in WS @ Epcot? For CS. Their food was very fresh and something different...we all liked it.

And yay! I see you are going back for Fantasmic We honestly loved it, it was one of the highlights of our trip and looking forward to seeing it again!!

Oh and if you are considering doing Mickeys backyard BBQ I have heard that HDDR is much better and more fun. We are going to try HDDR this trip based upon the reviews!

Yet another change of plans now...Called Disney today to possibly change my ressie. We are now considering CBR for our Feb trip. We really want to try the Pirate rooms and think the kids would like the pirate ship thingie they do with the kids there. We are probably going to add on two extra days at the end of our stay as well. Not sure if we want to do this at pop or just stay at CBR????????????

o2bnoz- love the plan! I think it sounds great.. I'd love to sometime rent an offsite house or condo and see more than just wdw but since this is our first trip I think we'll have plenty there to keep us busy! Lol


For our AK day it closes at 6. Were planning to have a nice dinner at Jiko and explore the resort a little bit. Same with one of our mk/epcot days (can't remember which it is...) when it closes at 7 were going to explore the monorail resorts and have a later dinner. Works perfectly for us since we tend to be later eaters anyway!

I'm glad we've got such a great group of people planning together! Ill post our trip plans (so far anyway, I'm sure they'll change a few times before feb ) tomorrow when I'm on the computer instead of the blackberry. I can't remember everyones dates, but I think it think it would be a lot of fun to plan a dis meet!

thanks to who ever offered the crowd predictor numbers, but I am already a subscriber that site I compared the numbers between Feb school vacation and April, and because our spring vacation runs right into Easter next year, it looks like Feb will be less crazy......I'm thinking. We went last April and it was awesome.....Easter was in March so it didn't affect the week. So I'm still leaning towards Feb...but very afraid of freezing temperatures. We have 2 boys...Max and Luke and our girl dog (Toy Fox Terrier) whose name is Princess Tiger Lily....we call her Lily
