I'm almost hoping there is NOT a discount for my dates. We are leaving August 8th so we miss free dining. While I was initially all in a tizzy waiting for that to be offered, I was somewhat relieved to hopefully avoid the craziness of those FD weeks. When I made my ressies, EVERYTHING was available including Royal Table which I have never been able to get. I was offered many dates for my stay. In the past, even for winter months, and 6-12 months in advanced, CRT was booked. I think this tells me that we will have a pleasant, non crowded visit. We'll see

Yeah I agree. I'll be there Aug 6-12. And have been there the first two weeks in August since 2003. Each year the crowds have been less and less. Last year was the absolute best. I was able to 'do' MK in one day. THAT has NEVER happened before. The more popular rides we rode back to back. I did get the 40% off code in my package. I am very pleased with that. I actually preferred it. The FD crowd would make my trip overwhelming.

I called CRO today, still no specials for early august.....looks like AAA room discount is all we will get....better than nothing.
How about 1/2 price for DDP?? Free Park hopper & water park extras....something....
If the parks are alot less crowded I guess that will be a bonus...

Reminder: The UK people are getting free dining starting August 12.....How do they rate????

My guess would be because it wasn't marketed to them at all last year and a number felt 'left out'. So Disney made up for it this year by offering to them, with slightly more flexible dates.

Plus, it costs a lot more for a UK visitor to get to Orlando to start with, so Disney sometimes offers greater incentive to get them to spend that huge $$$ on plane tickets etc.

It's all a wash in the end in my opinion.

I just got an email from my TA at DU,Im getting a discount!I dont know what the discount is for. Im staying at pop,2 rooms,from Aug 15-29 with dining.She said that Im getting credited $531.

The discount is probably due to the new (open to the public) room or package codes that came out yesterday. Our agent tried to get the ZJZ code in place of the AAA discount as it would have saved us an extra $25 per day but there were nothing available at the Poly for our time.

Doris 1962 - If you already have a CAA discount, you might get a bit back if there is something available for your date but make sure you tell your agent about the new code as our agent wasn't aware of it until I talked to her.

There are 2 new codes. BUK and BUL. BUL will give you better savings. Some CM's will say the BUL code is only applicable for online bookings. This isn't true entirely. The disney website states you can use the BUL code over the phone as well. Just keep calling back until you get the right CM to accomodate you.

do you know what the rates are with BUL? I know BUK is $69 for values....just wondering without calling CRO how much cheaper BUL would be.

Am subscribing to this thread to try to understand all these codes. We are already booked for 8/6-8/15 with MYW + Dining at POR. I used my AAA TA. I saw the announcement earlier this morning, so I called and left a message with the codes. Have not yet heard back.

Can I just call WDW and ask about the discount? Or do I need to go through my AAA Agent to do this? Also, I received a post card in the mail two days ago. Can someone explain how that works? Again, would I have been able to apply it even though I went through AAA and am already getting discount through them?

What if my agent calls me back and says she can't do anything? Not because she does not want to but perhaps because she does not know how to do it?

Sorry for the questions, but I am really trying to figure out if I am losing money by not doing everything myself....and waiting to see if codes come out that are applicable to my travel dates...

Hello to all of you "in-the-know" about savings codes from someone pretty clueless about it...


I booked our upcoming vacation (8/9 thru 8/16, MYW + dining) through AAA and was able to save about $300 from the price quote I got from the WD site. I had the AAA TA book the trip, and it is paid off. Today I called her and asked if any of the codes I see here ( ZJZ, ZJV, BUL, BUK) can be applied to my existing ressie - and she tells me "there is no place on the ressie to add a "code". Now I find this pretty interesting as I booked our last trip through Disney myself, and when a code came out, just called CRO and it was applied, saving us $400+ (this was in Dec 05). I cannot call CRO myself and try to add a code since I booked thru AAA. Does anyone have any insight on this problem?

Any help and/or insight is greatly appreciated...
